Question… why do the teachings stay inside and not given to the masses I’ve always wondered but after doing my own studying I have learned so much more that most masons that I run into do not know or understand . But that’s besides the fact . My biggest concern is why aren’t masons telling the truth about who exactly the story of hyram is truly about and the meaning behind him being hit on the head and knocked unconscious here in the north gate . Because we all are masons . As you should know it simply means mother and son . So why keep the knowledge secluded when it’s the birthright of the people to know the sciences and pass down the knowledge which in my opinion could help society in so many different ways . Even down to the history of the fez and where it truly comes from as well as why the tassel is tied down . (Mine shall forever move freely 360 ) for knowledge is infinite and so is the mind . Karma is very real and the universe has its way of working things out . Seeing as how we are in the age of the Aquarius many things hidden in darkness will soon come to light. For everything that is in secret is sacred . Peace and love to you my brother . I do not come from a place of hate but I do feel that as masons and leaders we should also do our part in uplifting humanity. Not just with charity but with knowledge and love as well

They bring you in to hide their true intent. Look at the politicians who are in free masonry and other similiar "secret" societies. They lie to the people support the central bank that robs the peoples labor.
That is a problem though. If you want people to show up, there has to be something at least semi interesting to show up for, or else it feels like a waste of time....which it very well may be.

And this has absolutely nothing to do with Freemasonry or how wonderful it is. And and not everyone can be a mason nor are they cut out to be a Mason if they finally do get in
I had the same experience. Watching members bicker and fight told me that there's nothing enlightened about what they had to teach. These guys would rip off a non Mason without a second thought in any business dealings too.
I personally saw what you said in the last sentence. This person had no morals what so ever, would steal, lie, cheat on his wife...etc. One of the most despicable people I have ever met.
No offence but my lodge was basically “memorize all of this, rush through the degrees so we can have a 3rd degree meeting again, then sit down, shut up and listen to us complaining about why we have so few members and why current members never come to meetings”
Great commentary I have been attending a masonic revival lodge. That has increased its membership in attendance for the past 10 years. By raising its dress code to a white glove standard. And having a member give a 10 to 15 minute talk about the sock education of some variety. This talk is first written 3 to 4 pages and presented to the Master for approval before it’s presented in the rain so in essence like going to a lecture or symposium everything. The meeting location is a 250-year-old building with all the accoutrements of such.
I personally believe that this is the way forward. Masonic lodges were always a special place, they still are, but we need to revive the finer elements.
Its also quite easy to just move on when you read something you don't like. If you had REAL Masonry in you, you would have comprehended that. However, you're a representation of why I left. And thus MY "it" is as easy as that. You may run along now and pay with your country club rolodex. Pleas do make a snappy comeback, as I have no moral obligation to hold back from your kind.

Try becoming involved in more than your blue lodge. If your experience doesn't change, what you're looking for is either 1) not accessible to you or 2) not available in your jurisdiction. Note number 1 because that's the most difficult to overcome.

Great video, brother. It should be grand and marvelous. We have several younger brothers, including myself, in the line at my lodge and we are working very hard to bring the excitement and wonder back to life. I want to see a return to the more esoteric roots of Masonry.
My best friends dad left Freemason and he was becoming a pastor and what he told me was a Man can NOT serve 2 masters. So that always kept me away because he was as upright as a man can be.
It is involvement in the occult! It looks all civilized and like a boys club on the outside but it actually invokes serious curses and idol worship. My great grandfather was a grand mason and I’m a born again Christian and God has shown me how I’m having to deal with curses due to his involvement at this high level. It’s not from God
Imagine if all if the weak men who sell their souls to the devil chose to serve God instead. Everything could be so beautiful and pure. I pray for all of these masons to turn their eyes to Jesus Christ
I agree with many of your comments on the fraternity brother. I come from a small town lodge in Maine and many of our meetings are like that. My younger brother and I are the youngest members their besides a high school friend of mine, I’m 29 so there’s a huge age gap. We’re implementing a lodge education program where we talk about different Masonic related topics every lodge meeting. Luckily the older members are all for it and we have a few that have vast knowledge on esoteric subjects. One thing that helped me when I first became a Mason was jumping into the officers line. I learned A LOT about our ritual, also talking to older brethren and reading books about our fraternity. Joining Scottish Rite really opened my eyes up though, that’s what I really was looking for in Masonry, luckily I found a notch. Keep doing good work brother, I’m glad too see there’s many of us out their that want more from this magnificent fraternity and will do things to help propel it to the prestige of our past. Sam Wilson, SW Parian Lodge #160 Corinna, ME
All I can say is you need to have the drive to learn, absorb, and practice what you were presented. Alot of IT is open for you but it is YOU to seek it out. A friend offered me to join but I declined... I wanted to find my own way outside of the lodge (it's a sigma thing), and he's my reference as to how far I'm getting without the traversing the degrees.
lol "iT's A sIgMa ThInG, wHiCh Is WhY i FeEl ThE nEeD tO tElL tHe InTeRnEt HoW sIgMa I aM." Having a community of spiritual folks to talk to about rituals, practice, ethics, esotericism, occultism, etc is not an impediment or a crutch; its another avenue to continue to hone, practice, and expand on one's own journey. It doesn't make you "better" or "more sigma" for not being a part of the order. The fact that you feel compelled to compare your metaphysical phallus to this other individual shows a lack of maturity, and highlights a deficient understanding of spiritual matters. You would get chewed up and spit out if you joined any serious spiritual organization, which sounds like the exact thing you need to put your ego in check. This doesn't negate the progress that you have make individually, but it does underpin the potential handicap that you have unnecessarily placed upon yourself because you are afraid of losing yourself, your identity, drive, passion, and understanding if you were confronted with other peoples ideologies, practices, knowledge, and understandings, which shows how frail your actual understandings are to begin with.
Yeah I’m not gonna lie if youre using terms like alpha sigma and beta still then You haven’t gotten very far at all that’s about as brain rot as one can get.
I'm sorry you had this experience. Yes it's sort of the same in my Lodge but we try to do things with the wives and families away from the Lodge. Just friendly outings and family fun. That's critical for a good Lodge. It has to be about Family and trying to be better men not just fundraising/money. Masonry should be a benefit to a Brother and his family not a burden.
I read Manly P. Hall books a lot and many other books written by 33rd Degree Freemasons and I have been attaining insight and powers but I am lonely with no fellowship and I wonder if Freemasonry would help me to find people like myself or just result in me being disappointed. I wish there was something like a parapsychology research group in my area too that would be even better. Also vows of secrecy I do not believe in unless it is the password to someones bank account or phone or it is about their medical records.
I have a question that's of dire impotance to my family , If someone that is part of the fraternity , are they allowed to get away with murder , rape and human trafficking ?
Bravo. I'm a Past Master in Pennsylvania and, as other's have mentioned, I can identify with everything you've said. No one in my family had been a Mason. I was very active going through the chairs and couldn't wait to arrive at practice and meetings. Once my year was finished, I tried moving on to both the Scottish Rite and the York Rite, but I didn't find the same camaraderie I'd experienced in Blue Lodge. I'd also watched as my friends, who were involved like me, but older, passed away. Eventually, I felt burned out, and while I maintain membership, I no longer participate. Still, the time I spent there made me a better person, and it was the greatest time of my life.
@@fucku3460 Your level of ignorance is on display for everyone to see. Each meeting begins with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. @Justin Haffner Several points of your description don't sound like what I'm familiar with. You can't be forced to do anything in Freemasonry. There are no "plays" in Blue Lodge -- that's more of what takes place in the Scottish Rite degrees. The only people in a tux are the officers, although in most jurisdictions, you're expected to dress in a respectable manner, ie a coat and tie much as you would in church.
@@DavidSmith-qo1se AGREED...here in my Lodge, we are required to wear a suit and tie, unless an officer as you said in a Tux they must be in. Call them plays Justin, or whichever you wish brother, but remember one thing NO ONE forces you to become a Mason, not even your Dad, that is the golden rule of being a Mason, is believing in a higher power, and never recruiting someone, by forcing it on someone unless they ask YOU about it. Just sharing my thoughts brother, I hope you will also if you sit in the chairs or wherever you sit, YOU take it in, cause what and how you look at being a Mason makes the difference, you get what you put into it. Best to you brother. Womelsdorf, Pa Lodge 307
Many US lodges are like this. I had the great pleasure of sitting in Lodge in the Phillipines and seeing FC degree, and let me tell you, they take Masonry VERY seriously there. The candidate gave a flawless EA proficiency (2x as long as the long form US proficiency) and when I asked him how long it took him to learn it, he said it took him 2 weeks. The degree event was a full day event with two meals and a break between the sections. No one was in a hurry to leave and we all hung out and talked for hours after. It was very refreshing and I would love to bring some of these practices to my Lodge.
It's my opinion that the blue Lodge is meant to be that way. You get out of Freemasonry what you put into it, and what you desire. If you are content with the blue Lodge Social Club then that's exactly what you will get. I believe that you have to look past the blue Lodge to learn how to apply the esoteric teachings to your life. Just like cold lifeless churches, this stems from people being lazy fat and content. The same can happen to a lodge. Build upon your own moral and masonic ediface brothers.
My home lodge (one I joined when I moved back to my home town in Mississippi, I became a Mason in Oklahoma in 2019) don't do much fundraising, it's a small town with like 100 people so it's understandable. But as a guy who's about to be 25 I learned that IMPROVING MYSELF THROUGH MASONRY (the thing that every Mason hears since joining) is what makes it worthwhile. Meetings are usually fun/saying who didn't show but what you learn from the craft work is what makes it worthwhile. My life has been changed and I myself have seen a huge improvement in how I treat/approach/talk to people and its really helped me be a better person
Some of your points are very valid. When I joined the lodge, I was looking for something with deeper and more esoteric meaning. I thought degree work and even stated meetings would carry more formality than they did. What I quickly learned was that stated meetings were mostly "old men bitching about a nickel", and degree work was mostly performed by unprepared individuals who had about as much appreciation for ceremony as they did the hot-dog and chili dinner that came before it. That said, like you, I did some reading and some learning on my own, and also talked to others. Unfortunately, our fraternity has been changed and shaped by the world. In the younger days of our fathers and grandfathers, they did not have the societal distractions we do. There was no evening TV, kids in travel ball, restaurants for entertainment, etc. Even church was largely a place you went on Sundays -- not someplace that demanded your involvement 3-5 days a week. They had the TIME to invest in the fraternity, and likely derived a lot more from it. Also, the fraternity bonded many of those men together as they went off to fight in various wars and conflicts. This is not to say that is entirely lost. There are still places I'm aware of that still conduct degree work in tuxedos with white gloves and candles, or hold meetings or degree work in wooded areas. Many lodges now are indeed largely 'service organizations' that are about involving the whole family -- because they think that's what people want. However, I tend to desire higher standards, more selectivity (enough with the one-day classes!), and more formality. I would much more prefer a pre-work dinner of chicken Parmesan and wine than old hot dogs and black coffee. And I'd prefer the lodge to be a place where people spoke of art and recited poetry -- not just sitting around talking about glory days. Maybe someday I'll find this lodge, but for now I'm content to study on my own.
I dont think people want to join cause of formalities and ceremonies. They want to join like minded people, people with vision, curiosity and a desire to learn and apply knowledge in their day to day life, to get both guidance and support for the ideas of progress.
The lodge I attend wears white gloves, Full suits, Steak and potatoes, high quality roast beef, beautiful lodge. However I did have an experience with a lodge in TX while I lived there with lower quality things. I was hoping for more formality because it makes the ritual and allegories more "real" if that makes sense. And your ears pick up more if you have respect for your environment.
Read Julius Evola Ride The Tiger. I am a hermit that lives a very different and perilous life. But modernity is ruining any chance of most people awakening to higher powers.
This exemplifies what is seen in many craft lodges today. It has become lodge business and kudos to brethren . Many toil to attain titles for self worth. This is not the craft, the old men when I joined were a different breed. The focus was on fraternity, family and self betterment . Without this focus you may as well join the elks or rotary. Education, introspection and guidance is elemental. The “G” is not just a letter but central to the tools provided. The craft is not only within the confines of each lodge but what each member exhibits in their daily walk. The tools are provided, we must hold each other accountable how we use them. Otherwise we are therefore only groups of men meeting for the sake of such; without daily labor the exercise is futile.
G is for Gematria, which is where geometry came from. The Bible talks about the Antichrist, and how CRAFT will prosper in his hand. Psalms 118:22 says,"The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner." Do you really kid yourself and think that King David and Jesus was only talking about the pharisees? HE WAS REFERING TO YOU GUYS TOO! Where do you think all this secret knowledge came from? There is nothing new under the Sun. You trust in Egypt. Remember what the Lord did to Egypt at the hand of Moses and Aaron? These little clubs are adultry against the Lord. When you see a G and compass on a grave stone, you might consider where their soul is. Repent before it's too late because Jesus is coming back.
A question for you? Why did you never get involved and run through the chairs? Get involved? Learn the history? I’m definitely NOT slamming you, just a question. Glad you came back though!
Faith. Hope. Charity. This speaks volumes to me about who joins for the own self absorbed gain. He left because he didn’t want to service his lodge and community, he wanted his lodge and community to service him. Had he left his ego in the parking lot, he may have learned something about unselfishness. There’s a lesson here for any aspiring candidate: Study. Really understand what you’re getting into before you get into it, anything less is a spit in the face of countless great men which came before you, and of those to come after you.
I’m a former member of the Grand Lodge of Maryland (mainstream). One of the reasons I left because it was pretty boring. Just dinner before the meetings and reading of the minutes and bills during the meetings. I demitted and healed over to Prince Hall. We have nothing but fundraisers (which is good, but we have too many in my opinion. Almost every meeting we talk about a different one). Hardly any education or anything I’ve learned going through the degrees. I normally step up and present and recommend educational topics, but it’s becoming a burn out for me. I’m not active as I was in the beginning and rarely attend meetings. When I’m there, it’s like I’m physically there, but my mind is not. After experiencing both jurisdictions, sometimes I feel like I want to demit all together, but I’m trying to hand in there.
👍Finally Some Truth. That is entirely true the meetings are insufferable boring and soul destroyingly banal. Open and closing with a ritual only for the in-between to be talking about whose wife is going to make the sandwiches for the next communication; hardly the stuff of gaining esoteric knowledge. I'm glad I'm out: waste of a decade in that club.
I became a EA at 21 & MM at 22 years. I joined for the mysticism and after reading Manly P. Hall. What I really enjoyed the memory work and learning the rituals. When I attended the first meeting I realized it was not what I thought it was and stopped going. It’s boring and doesn’t appeal to me. If it included some masonic education or some esoteric talk I would’ve stayed. An experience for sure.
As an EA degree holder, I get both sides of this. the mundane parts combined with the endless fund raising without much else is off putting but it gives some of the older members a purpose and makes them feel useful in a world that has seemingly passed them by. But to ask for pageantry for all meetings would also be exhausting. One thing that may help excite and retain new and younger members is to try and capitalize on the resurgence of debate. Hold lectures and debates in with the public is invited. Show engagement with the topics of the day while hearkening back to the wisdom that brought us to this day. This is just an idea that may entice more intellectual and savy youth to be excited by Freemasonry.
We’re you expecting more of a “spiritual” experience or something? I’m confused as to why the fund raising and meetings are “mundane” in an organization that supposed to be this way... Shows me thru the discernment of God that these videos are an attempt to “re define” what free masonry is to the public. When you have the light of Christ Jesus it will SHOW YOU these people without a shred of covering. Anybody who makes this type of video is attempting to re define the nature of what has already been exposed. I appreciate your service 🤣
I do respect that you got into freemason for good reasons, but that doesn't mean you should speak about them because of your bad experience. People do the same thing about Jehovah's Witnesses. This is wrong because when people listen to this JW bashing, they think they are right, but their not. These bashers should understand that having man's way is not the right thing to do because when you listen to the next person you then find out he has a different opinion. Don't you think that you should study the bible with someone who has faith? What some people don't know about the truth might hurt them. Satan owns this world so why would anybody listen to this devil? I'm not saying that JW have more members than any other religion, but what I can tell you for sure, is that in 1981 they had about 3 million members. Today, they have over 9 million members. Because of this large increase do you think they are crazy? People should not listen to everything on the UA-cam videos due to false information. People are so naive. It's much better to hear it from the horse's mouth.Go to meetings and find out. Donations are not done under the nose; it's only volunteer.
EA myself, and being young (below 30) I think debates would be an extraordinary way to bring in new members. Even charge a small fee for tickets as a way to fundraise. It would allow people of diff viewpoints to come together for a night and if interested petition the lodge. Don’t see why that’s inherently bad, I think more young men are hungering for purpose and attainment, why wouldn’t the fraternity show itself to be a place where they can do that?
Don't know if you guys are still an EA or master Mason yet or not but I get what you guys are talking about. But once you start learning about what happens during degrees and actually listen and understand the stories, it starts to make sense. Don't give up on the craft just yet because you will miss put on so much value and reward through yourself.
Stumbled across your video and clicked because of the intriguing title. I’m currently studying my FC degree in my home state of Alabama and have thus far been fascinated with it. What stood out to me what advice given to me the night of my EA, “you only get out of it what you put in to it.” It’s up to us to strive and work for better and I’ll do all I can to help better my lodge. Good video man, enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was raised to a Master Mason degree on October 15th, 2024. It was very interesting to watch your video. It looks like you had different expectations and understanding of what the Freemasonry is. I would love to know what did you think the Freemasonry is?
Brother, I can appreciate your words. From what I have gathered myself, many lodges are heading down that same road. There are a few of us that do try to carry the torch though, in these dark times.
I don’t know how things are in Texas, but I’m Georgia my lodge and the lodges around me are very different. They are much more that what your lodge sounds like. There is much more of a brotherhood, helping the local community, fellowship, and knowledge to be learned. My lodge was chartered in 1853, and we have been learning about the history of our lodge this year. And there’s nothing more satisfying as a Mason to work hard to raise funds then see those funds get paid out by the lodge to: people in need, children’s scholarships, Masonic home of Georgia, and other things we support. I’m fortunate to have such a good lodge with great people. Salt of the earth people that will give you their last dollar and the shirt off their back!
Daniel K, I couldn’t agree more. As a fellow Georgia mason, my lodge is very active in lots of different things. I’m currently serving as Master and even with Covid happening, there are ways to give back and stay active within the community.
@@deceiver123m Exactly. They are being entry-level enticed and sold a dream of 'helping people'. Naive and desperate for status and commradery. Move up higher and see if they are still devoted.
It's important to keep an open mind and to get to know people. Spiritual rewards are there waiting. Just because the stepping stones of ritual can seem mundane and without meaning because the majority can't see that meaning, doesn't mean the meaning doesn't exist. It's up to each of us to get past this fear of the unknown and keep pressing forward.
I’m a sitting SW in Georgia. I hope you’re having the happiest of Easter Sundays. I’m doing an investigation for myself about this very subject. I would love to speak with you sometime if you’re willing. Kindest regards
Your title is very misleading and is click bait. Next time, just entitle it the truth "Why I Left, Came Back, and What I'm STILL Not Going To Tell You!" I don't mean to sound rude, but we all know that it's more to it and this is a cover up to make it sound very open, friendly, service oriented, etc. You can't be those things and play with the devil.
As someone who is seriously considering joining Masonry right now I can tell you that nothing he said in this video is a lie but you could consider it disinformation perhaps as he doesn't explain the difference between essentially "entry-level" Craft Masonry and the other Masonic bodies that expand on Craft Masonry(he may not be deceitful though, many Masons never go beyond the Craft level these days). Craft Masonry is essentially a social club like Lions or Rotary or such, only 3 degrees(typically) with the top being Master Mason, they do lots of charity work and seek to improve both the individual members and the community they are part of. Only once you have attained Master status do the other groups become open to you, if you so choose. None of this is a secret, many Masonic websites openly explain this but sadly it's opponents prefer conspiracy theories over facts. What he describes is the reality of Craft Masonry for the vast majority of the lodges these days, and their membership is waning in many of the smaller lodges due to it. More and more Masons are having trouble understanding how it fits into the modern age and so the subject of "believing in Masonry" has become a hot topic as more and more are seeing it just as a mundane social club without a true purpose, as he described in the video. Especially the younger generations that see many aspects of it as being out of touch with the modern world. It's not a black and white issue as Masonry has had some schisms and split up into several different "factions" and some have very different views than others do, many refusing to recognize each other as legitimate bodies. Within those factions there can be many different sub-groups as well and some of them don't recognize each other either. It's easier for it's opponents to vilify and fear them however by lumping them all together to create a single boogeyman that's lurking around every corner, so that's what they do. People fear what they don't understand and then create conspiracy theories to justify their fears that give them a false understanding of it. Note: Save the "don't do it" or "run away" crap as I've been a follower of other non-Masonic doctrines for years built on the same core truth as Freemasonry and since I have a decent understanding of it already I don't fear it the way you do. My only issue is uncertainty about how my existing views would fit into Masonry.
Jonny Grey how do you know all this if your just considering? Does that mean you are a few degrees but not high up? Also. How long does it take to get to 32 degree? I know a guy who says he's a 32.
@@JohnSmith-yw4bh - I have no degree's at this time however I am a long time follower of a slightly different set of non-Masonic doctrines which are based on the same underlying mysticism and the same Supreme Truth that is revealed at the highest levels of Scottish Rite Masonry. Beyond that though a lot of information is publicly available on many aspects of Masonry if you're willing to take the time to seek it out, they are not a secret society but a society with secrets and vast amounts of information is available to the public - though most folks likely wouldn't understand it or will misinterpret it(as clearly seen in these comments and with all the conspiracy theories in general). Masonry reveals the Truth slowly through the initiation process at the same time using each bit of Truth to teach lessons on morality, spirituality, social responsibility, etc. Knowing the Truth is important but the lessons on personal improvement and such are something I feel would greatly benefit me, plus I know many Masons and they are some of the finest people I've ever known and it's something I'd like to be a part of. This is a link to my own regional Grand Lodge which is a good starting point if you'd like more information though your own region likely has a good site as well: grandlodge.on.ca/index.php Anyone who happens to be in this region may also enjoy attending the 2019 Sankey Lecture(a yearly lecture series) this Sunday at Brock University: www.eventbrite.com/e/sankey-lecture-2019-tickets-55003649396
@@JohnSmith-yw4bh - Oh, as for your question of how long it takes to get to a 32nd degree - it really depends on the individual and how well they comprehend the lessons of Masonry. The man who laid out the doctrines I've been following technically did it in the blink of the Eye as he demonstrated his knowledge of the Supreme Truth in his own works and was granted instant honorary 33rd degree status(Scottish Rite) without having to work through all the degree's. That is extremely rare though.
I'm a 32* SR Mason, Johnny here is quite right in all he's said. The overwhelming percentage of conspiracy theories are made by individuals that are delusional with no idea of what and how simple the fraternity is. What saddens me is how easily misinformation can spread and how quick seemingly intelligent people soak it up.
This guy is right on the money most lodges are like that that's why I quit going to my Lodge you had your little circle that ran the lodge no matter what the laws were
And clearly you understand freemasonry? Please take a few minutes and if you can try and explain that in a few sentences as an outreach for new prospective members? Your clarity of mind would be a breath of fresh air. Are you a lower echelon member of your pyramid or a higher degree mason? Please elucidate your understanding. I doubt most of your members have a real clue. Let’s see if you are more enlightened. Maybe your “Angel of Light” has you pegged for something more.
It's been my experience that many lodges fall into the same rut. Open, read the minutes, pay the bills, talk about the fundraiser or scholarship and close. It's up to the Brothers that want something different to step up and make the change they want to see. If you want to study esoteric freemasonry start an esoteric club. If you want more "hanging out" with the Brothers have a poker night, or movie night. Also, get the families involved. Do holiday BBQs or a haunted house.
Your obligation is more than just words to memorize, anybody can go online and memorize it. There’s a lot of values in it, and the people who take it to heart are good people to surround yourself with.
I appreciate the share and I am a part of a few fraternal organizations. I believe you have to have a vision for what you are looking to bring to wherever you serve. If you don't have a vision you will always end up serving someone else's vision. Yes, I appreciate what I get from my lodge, but in my interview process they asked me what I was looking to contribute to the lodge. I believe that was key. My vision is to assist in building the lodge and go deeper in my personal knowledge. I would again say that you must have a vision for where you see yourself within the mission of the brotherhood and you can add or you will always be disappointed. The scriptures say, "People perish for a lack of vision". I have no tone to my share, but I pray it makes us think about our personal vision or lack thereof and being clear about that instead of possibly expecting something or someone else to give you a vision. Blessings.

I asked a man at our church, in his 70's, why he was a Mason, he answered me, "It makes good men better." I responded, "I have Jesus Christ for that purpose." He said, "I'd like to talk, but I have to go."
@@MasonicImprovement actually, it was after the service in the fellowship hall, where people catch up with other members. He, was too busy, or so he said.
@@TURTLEORIGINAL I'm just saying that I'd "be too busy" as well. I'm always "to busy" to explain myself to strangers. 😂 Also, Jesus may be the key to salvation but being a Christian doesn't necessarily make somebody a better person. 🤷♂️
Speaking to you as a 3rd degree master mason I totally agree with you. The problem is that people are not really learning from 5he degree work and applying it to their lives. Hence the bbq you went to should of being a chill out day for the brothers rather than a charity day. Charity is something a brother should practice within reason on a daily basis. That's what freemasonry teaches or to be more honest what it has forgot to teach
It sounds to me like you are all missing out on the principles of mentalism and the psychic phenomena. Every religion and similar organization dies when this is gone. No point in going to a church or a lodge when people do not understand the basics of telepathy and telekinesis and mediumship and so on. Doing good works of the get together and have fun type also is completely mundane.
Sir, turned away from all the lodges and to the Lord Jesus Christ. Call upon His name for you salvation and trust the news about Jesus in the Bible. May God bless you!
"And no one could resolve my doubts and difficulties. Of course I could learn nothing in the Lodge. No one ever learns anything there, in regard to the meaning of the symbols, after he has received the degrees. If he desires to know more, which most Masons do not, he must seek to find it in books printed to be sold to anyone, Mason or profane, who may wish to purchase; and these I bought and eagerly read, finding here and there among the rubbish of useless writing, a clue now and then, which lead me towards the truth." --Albert Pike's Esoterika - The Symbolism of the Blue Degrees of Freemasonry.
what bothers me is these people in the lodge that know nothing will swear they are a real mason and swear that a person who didnt join the lodge but dedicated his life to the true knowledge is not a real mason. why? because of a charter, that comes from where? other men.
Freemasonry is a journey into oneself, amongst brethren. It's not a terrible thing to switch lodges. I agree that if that's all your lodge did, there's not much value in paying the bills. The fellowship, combined with good masonic education is key to involvement. The richness of the craft is the ability learn more about how you can be a better man. Very young men sometimes struggle because they want to be surrounded by other young people and that is important, but the diversity of age is something that is helpful to get a deeper understanding of the craft. Each lodge has a different culture and it sounds like you may not have done any traveling to other lodges. You should have set yourself on an aggressive schedule of visiting 10-12 other lodges and I would guarantee that you would find a lodge that you have much in common with brethren of at least one of those lodges. It is not a bad thing to transfer lodges to one that better matches your needs.
When I was younger and just joined, I didn't mind being around older men. I still don't. I think it's important that a lodge provide actual value and is able to communicate what it offers to men that are interested in joining. For example, don't promise to take good men and make them better if all you offer are fundraisers.
@@MasonicImprovement Agreed. Every single lodge meeting should have some Masonic Education. Preferably with an opportunity to ask questions and to have a fruitful discussion. If you’re not getting that, it’s time to visit other lodges and then switch.
My 2c worth. I've been a Mason for almost 10 years, and I see your line of thinking just way too often. I think it's due to a misconception on the part of especially, but not limited to, younger members as to what Masonry really is all about. Essentially, as I see it, it'sall about self-study. New members often expect to be spoon-fed all the "secrets" of the Craft, when in reality our biggest secret is that we don't know the secrets either. By that I mean, we're as Masons supposed to look for it ourselves, and obviously you will get a different answer depending on who you speak to, based on their own interpretation. To use one example: circumambulation. Why do we walk around the lodge the way we do. Karl Jung, not even a Mason, had his own interpretation, which basically resolved around the idea that we circumambulate our own self in trying to discover our own Self. Likewise we circumambulate the Lodge, around the VSL, trying to get closer to G_d, it's a continuous search for the true meaning of G_d. But we never get closer to the VSL through circumambulation, just as we'll never fully understand G_d. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep on trying; in fact quite the opposite: we must keep on studying, learning and think about the GAOTU. And by doing so, we will improve ourselves and become better men. Even on a much less philosophical level, we circumambulate the Lodge because, as per the teachings of the EA degree, where we state "as the earth resolves around the sun...." we similarly walk around the Lodge in a similar fashion, "mimicking" the Earth's journey around the sun, representing "Light" or knowledge, and also in line with "help to establish truth in the paths of nature and science". As said, you need to do a lot of self-study, self-inspection, thinking and debating with your self. Masonry only provides you with some pointers. You have learned more than you realise during the 3 rituals. The study, interpretation and implementation is however all up to you, the individual. As said, I've been a Mason for almost 10 years, 7 of which as a MM, but I'm still studying the complexities of the first degree. Every time I think I've "cracked the code", a deeper, more meaningful new layer opens up. It's all about self-study. It's the "Work" we keep on referring to in rituals.
You are being initiated into satanism. You should question your IQ if you think that true knowledge is given to ‘chosen’ individuals who are ‘smarter’ than the rest and have to practice weird rituals in secret and pay membership fees. Masons are talmudic puppets who execute ground work to welcome the jewish messiah - the antichrist, by advancing the anti white and anti christian nwo and transhumanist agendas
I recently joined back in November and was raised to master mason a few weeks ago. I've wanted to join since I was 13. Didn't really have the mental fortitude or the time to join the last 20 years until now. I still don't have much time, but my fortitude has changed and feel more equipped to be apart of the fraternity. I enjoy the charity portion and esoteric part of Masonry. It's something I've wanted to learn about for many years, things I couldn't learn while on the outside.
You can learn the esoteric part on the outside. Freemasons arent the gatekeepers, nor were they ever. As for the charity portion, that can be done thru your church.
Church works under Freemasonry and Jesus is 33degree Freemason illuminalti occult grandmaster lodge so if you're African go and look for your culture and he knows religion was created by Freemasons

TheGameBusterPL You are Free and Accepted Mason,,, My Lodge is Ancient Free and Accepted Masons,, Nothing is written on ,printed, painted or engraved, a true Mason did not learn anything from a book , I’ve saw that little blue book, honestly I had been a Ancient Free and Accepted Mason for 15 yrs when I first saw this book, nothing is written in our lodges it’s all from memory ,
That is my experience at this very moment in time. I am bored to tears and I don’t understand what I signed up for. I haven’t attended in a year. It was always the same thing. I do a lot of charity through my church and I like that stuff but where is the knowledge, mystery, wonder, anything? I haven’t gone to other lodges yet but I plan to.
@Shane Collins have you even studies the First Three Degrees? Have you applied the esoteric thinking of what they represent to you? It has been said many times, yet it does not lessen the importance of the phrase "you only ever get out of Freemasonry what you put in". Return to your Lodge. Speak to the longest serving, wisest Mason you know and tell him your concerns. you cannot expect anyone to be a mindreader. Ask him how you should proceed to rekindle the interest you once had. Good luck.
Key point to make clear is this is American masonry which has taken its own path if you compare it to masonry in the UK, or Singapore etc. Masonry in the rest of the world has kept its meaning, it’s not about fund raising, that’s only one tiny part of it.
Being made a Master Mason isn't what makes a man a Master Mason. It is how he acts, and what is in his heart. A Master Mason has learned the lessons that the allegory and symbolism seek to teach.
Thank you. A system of morality vailed in allegory & illustrated by symbols. I don’t get what this dude is talking about. Thanks again my “fellow” Master Mason.
As a newer Mason (Just received my Fellowcraft last evening). I am wondering why you did not go over to the York or Scottish Rite. Everything I've been told of the Scottish Rite is that the degrees are a series of what I would assume is a theatre production in a way. As I do understand it can take years to get all of the degrees quickly. Thank you for this video, however.
Congrats, I had 2 Templars drive 3 hours to spend an hour and gave me my petition, I’ve talked to them everyday since and best decision I ever made. Met the masons in my town brought my petition in. Awesome people. They’re also Scottish rite and Shriners. Best decision I’ve ever made. I’m new to the area I live in and keep to myself, they have been great, very welcoming to me the wife and our daughter. I have no complaints. It’s not the days of the crusaders but it’s a brotherhood and your treated like family, the wives and kids get to meet. I have no complaints where I came from and type of people I hung out with in the past, were the same way but different walk of life. I was never judged and I was never involved in any bs I watched people and learned from their mistakes. I’m on my spiritual journey now, I found the rosacrutian order is perfect for me. One run in with a cop years ago changed my whole life. To this day we are tight and I owe him my life. No it wasn’t from an arrest. Army vet and old neighbor.
My husband is in the Scottish rite. How does this differ from masons? (Which he’s also in). There is a Templar something or other too he has Been invited to. I don’t ask because I know he can’t say. I just try to be supportive.
@Amy Knox Scottish Rite and York Rite are called appendent bodies. They are just sub-groups within Freemasonry. You cannot join any of those groups without first being a Mason.
They all run by Zionist …. Druid the den the Viking all son of Dan … Saxson all son of Issac … Pilates in masons … is same pillar of king soloamen ….. they teach the kahabblah … closely link to masons teaching …. They needed there hands in system so no one know it them waging wars in Middle East … Scottish right do a play of king soloamen … u also can never get rid of a Jew in any lodge they have prime vip cos massed but Zionist …. Not all Jews r bad don’t get me wrong … ba mason to much go back to king Solomon
You'll only run into this problem if you only attend stated meetings. They're boring and necessary. The real fun is the comradery you share with the brothers during degree work and discussion outside of lodge. Table lodges, Scottish rite, York rite, etc. Being an officer will change your perspective
Thank you for letting us know this is a nice piece of information because in Long Beach so used to have a Freemason Temple and they also do so do they have the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
It won’t be long now, many people will start leaving freemasonry primarily because cosmetic celestial ruler of the Pisces age came to an end in 2012, let’s not forget, the age of Pisces spawned the manifestation of freemasonry, That age is over, now we are in the age of Aquarius where it is about self enlightenment. The age of Aquarius inspires transparency, brotherhood, and independence, and enlightenment from the heavens on a personal level, much of the structures of the illuminati in general is beginning to collapse because of this new age, the age of Aquarius. The age of Pisces spawned secrecy, believe in God, and religion, deception, and a dream state of mind, a.k.a. matrix affect. Your thoughts here on UA-cam only represents the fact that this age of Aquarius is exercising it’s cosmetic energy through you to express your thoughts to the public, remember the age of Aquarius is the age of transparency of the human mind everybody will know what we are thinking
Hey guys this was actually a good one. Except for the illuminati part. Why are you making fun of this? Sounds utopic? Yes, but aren't masons building the temple? Inner and outer?
Good video brother, there are a lot of things we don't understand at the start of everything. Most lodges don't have the talent or skill to Brand us correctly.
Thanks for kindness through your reply. I wish you all the best and hope you will find what you are seeking. God made you and I, so I love you brother. But remember, there can be smoke without fire...🤗
Become Master of the lodge and make the change you want to see. Our lodges have education nights for each degree that we have members in and we also have outreach to the community. It all depends on the vision of the master of the lodge.
I can understand what you are saying. However as for my experience in Jamaica 🇯🇲 the comradery of being apart of a support system for the betterment of society and force for good. That is what is satisfying and makes me value the fraternity./G\
As a member of sweetwater lodge #292 and a young man in masonry I am saddened that know one around you took the time to truly show you how beautiful freemasonry really is . The path that was opened unto me was one that touched my heart and makes me a better man I find myself wanting to be leader for my community so I can insure people's life's will be better . I love all my brothers .
Thank you for watching and responding to my video! I agree that it was unfortunate that nobody stepped in but I'll tell you that I did eventually come back to the fraternity. Related- ua-cam.com/video/e1bRxKiNK4o/v-deo.html
I never had that problem.. I always enjoyed the fellowship and the mystery too it.. I was lucky I had a instructor who told me "learn a lecture by voice and mind.. then learn it by the heart.. and you'll be a steady mason till the day you die" and he was right.. I love masonry.. but I'll agree a lot of our generation won't love it.. but how can you not make masonry a meeting? It's the events where the fun happens
Brother, I'm in this boat with you. I struggle with going to meetings b/c of EXACTLY what you're talking about in this video. A problem i've noticed as i've traveled to other lodges, including mine, is that the older brothers don't like change and won't allow us younger (in the Craft) brothers progress us forward. The Craft as a whole needs a make over. Great video.
If you wanted to know more about the mystery aspect, you should have chosen a Scottish or York rite path. Also if you didnt like something why didnt you take a stand and try to spice it up. Every organization will be like this if the people getting involved are dull and self seeking. You agreed to being enthusiastic and helpful to masonry and the brothers in there, yet when YOU aren't satisfied you just leave..wow. People need to really think of what they are agreeing to and i will be making it known in my lodge. peace profound.
Wow, actually great comment. Unfortunately depends a lot on the lodge, specially people involved as I see it. There sure is a reason why, not sure if the cause is what is implied, but great comment. That goes as from high to low, it resonates.
This gives me a deeper appreciation of my blue lodge. The brothers there are always willing to teach and discuss and they're always ready with brotherly love.
I left for awhile myself. My current Lodge is awesome and I miss being able to attend because of my work schedule. We have a wide mix of ages and if we aren't having a study night, many are at Lodge just visiting. EAs and up are invited to all meals before meetings, and everything they can attend to keep them interested. In 2017 my Lodge did a total of 37 degrees and most of those guys are still active in the Lodge.
I suggest reading Karamazov brothers and particularly the Great inquisitor story. It speaks substantially about masonry as well. Dostoevsky is genius, you know, and stuff.

There’s nothing to find. And what most people are looking for they can find without the lodge

That's awesome you joined the Scottish rite. I wonder if many lodges are named that way or what cuz I live near the Scottish rite temple

Absolutely not. Freemasons are still subject to the same laws as everyone else.
Really? Best time of your life? Was it a power trip? Just asking honestly, don't you think they are subversive to our republic?

Tried and got reprimanded. Told not to set a precedent lol
That's great! Thanks for sharing your story! :)
“Improving myself through satanism” look at yourself you NPC.
Sadly, this isn't just a Texas problem. You hit so many items right on the head!
I agree. But took off chicken parmigiana, it cause strokes

This is so me lol "guys when is Chapter gonna finally get scary?"
Blessings.
I agree that it's important for the lodge to offer what the petitioner is looking for. Each lodge has its own culture.
I agree. I visited a few lodges before I decided to join one to make sure it fit what I was looking for.

I asked a man at our church, in his 70's, why he was a Mason, he answered me, "It makes good men better." I responded, "I have Jesus Christ for that purpose." He said, "I'd like to talk, but I have to go."
Odd that he didn't want to have a debate in the middle of a church. 🤷♂️
Also, Jesus may be the key to salvation but being a Christian doesn't necessarily make somebody a better person. 🤷♂️
Will you did not move up and if you did you won’t quite because you will learn more and move up
Speaking to you as a 3rd degree master mason I totally agree with you.
Commoners join freemasonry and believe they are on par with the true elect of masons. So cringe. Christ is all you need. NO MAN IS MASTER.

If he desires to know more, which most Masons do not, he must seek to find it in books printed to be sold to anyone, Mason or profane, who may wish to purchase; and these I bought and eagerly read, finding here and there among the rubbish of useless writing, a clue now and then, which lead me towards the truth."
--Albert Pike's Esoterika - The Symbolism of the Blue Degrees of Freemasonry.
what bothers me is these people in the lodge that know nothing will swear they are a real mason and swear that a person who didnt join the lodge but dedicated his life to the true knowledge is not a real mason. why? because of a charter, that comes from where?

Because you have a personal agenda! You havea mercenary motive!
Do as your wired to do. If your elders are into something that your not, the greater forces have something else prepared for you

Welcome and congratulations on being recently raised!
You can learn the esoteric part on the outside. Freemasons arent the gatekeepers, nor were they ever. As for the charity portion, that can be done thru your church.

@@akusika7314 Freemasonry is in opposition to almost everything Jesus taught, also the pagan religions of Africa and the rest of the world are just demon worship: Psalms 96:5 "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens."
The good stuff begins at 34th to 360th degrees and not every lodge has it also 99% of masons only think there are 3 degrees or 33 degrees

I haven’t visited jurisdictions outside of the US however I hear the same things you are saying very often.
That is true
You could have made it what you wanted to. How Ironic that your page is called Masonic Improvement.
Nick Mayhew he left for a while, but came back is what I understood.
Despite your negative experiences with Freemasonry, what caused you to go back to it?
He covers that in the video
Being made a Master Mason isn't what makes a man a Master Mason. It is how he acts, and what is in his heart. A Master Mason has learned the lessons that the allegory and symbolism seek to teach.
Thank you. A system of morality vailed in allegory & illustrated by symbols. I don’t get what this dude is talking about. Thanks again my “fellow” Master Mason.
How much hermeticism is actually involved with masonry?
I think it depends as much on the lodge as it depends on you. Great reading, from hermetic alchemy to eastern taoism, there a lot to take in.

You'll only run into this problem if you only attend stated meetings. They're boring and necessary. The real fun is the comradery you share with the brothers during degree work and discussion outside of lodge. Table lodges, Scottish rite, York rite, etc. Being an officer will change your perspective
I completely agree! Stated meetings are business meetings. It's what we do before and after the stated meetings that create the most value.

I start my apprenticeship for a blue Lodge this month Good to hear I’m pretty excited
The reason is camaraderie and brotherly bonds of friendship.
Money Montana and how to you now that freemasons sell theirs souls to devil? Did you ever join?

I suggest reading Karamazov brothers and particularly the Great inquisitor story. It speaks substantially about masonry as well. Dostoevsky is genius, you know, and stuff.
