I enjoyed this reaction! The maximals are actually from the far future when the cybertronian wars are over and Optimus prime was already dead. That's why Primal was named after the legendary warrior. In this period, optimus prime needed to learn from Primal what it means to protect these humans whom he didn't trust at first and found very annoying. In the Bayverse version, you can say this kinda connects to those movies as Optimus learned to fully believe in humans in that later timeline.

Yeah you’re right this is Reboot… definitely check out Bumblebee (2018) which adapts to ROTB. In the future 2 sequels for the reboot-verse are confirmed but not filmed or in production yet…
however next year in September there’s going to be another film called “Transformers One” which can be misleading due to the title but it takes place in Cybertron where tells the origin story of Optimus and Megatron before they became enemies. I’m still not sure if it’s part of the reboot timeline but in the future maybe we fans will get more news.
Yeah the reboot designs are kinda half Bayverse and G1 (80s cartoon design like Optimus Prime however the mouth piece is similar to the Bayverse Optimus face but yeah it’s a homage to Peter Cullen himself)
Speaking of Optimus Prime he had a character arc for sure where we see him having a trust problem with the humans, missing cybertron and causing to blame himself especially Bumblebee’s death impacted him until later revived. But in the future 2 sequels which I hope we get, we’re definitely going to see the Optimus Prime we know and love. Great Reaction and have a great one👍👍

Optimus Prime’s face in this movie was modeled after Peter Cullen’s, his voice actor. Hopefully that will help you see it in a brighter light, lol

The Maximal with the hammer is Rhinox not Primal.
Apelink, Optimus Primal, Airazor, Rhinox and Cheetor are Maximals, good guy transformers that transform into animals.

More as something I'm confused about, is why you constantly cut out parts where any of the other Autobots and Maximals, that aren't Optimus, Bee, Mirage, or Primal, are interacting? Like you entirely cut out of your reaction Arcee's first introduction after Optimus was first introduced, you cut out all of Arcee's stuff when Noah first met the other Autobots at the warehouse, you cut out most of Stratospheres' introduction, you cut out them name-dropping Wheeljack, you cut out the introduction to Airazor, Cheetor, and Rhinox at the beginning, you cut out Wheeljack zooming into Peru, you cut out us first being shown Arcee hiding inside Wheeljack, you cut out Arcee and Wheeljack first showing up at the highway chase, you cut out Battletrap sending Arcee and Wheeljack tumbling down the side of the mountain, you cut out Airazor breathing fire at the bridge, you cut out Stratosphere holding Bumblebee's corpse, you cut out Wheeljack stating they're all going to die, you cut out Stratosphere confirming the shockwave that revived Bumblebee was energon......

Best transformers movie so glad the franchise is in good Shane’s after Michael bay wrecked it also this follows bumblebee which is amazing as well also it’s the start of a reboot the Michael bay films timeline ends after the last knight
that was his original look from the 80's cartoon for all us who grew up back then that was they look they choose for the bumblebee movie
