probably to lowest point. Loose the head, press the center down, and just go around the drum taking out the wrinkles. When the wrinkles are gone move to the next lug
Thanks for the reply. I have had a great floor tom sound not long after I made my initial comment lol. I'm using Mapex Saturn drums so the floor tom has an incredible sound.
Very nice cover(s), bro! Can I ask you a few questions? I'll start a pop punk band in a few months, but never bought an acoustic set myself (have an electric set and play a Mapex from a friend of mine sometimes) so I don't know very much about it... Which drums and cymbals and stuff do you use? (Please don't tell me it's an SJC set) I really like the sound of yours and many guys who cover a pop punk song by State Champs or The Story So Far use an SJC set which sounds perfect but is too expensive for me... Thanks very much and keep up the good work!
Haha well there is a reason everyone tells you to pick sjc; they sound unreal. But actually my kit is worth about the same as an sjc, if not more. It's a PDP platnium ebony stain, and my snare is a mapex sledgehammer. Honestly, just save your money, and hold off on buying a kit until you can afford something middle of the line to high end. It'll last longer, be easier to tune, and overall, you will just feel more confident playing it since you paid good money for it, and it sounds nice.
Awesome
Man I'm jealous of your drumming space haha - that looks very soundproof! I wish I had a carpet warehouse to play in... Great drumming btw.
Thanks dude! And yeah, it sounds unreal in there.
solid timing
Nice :D
this was fucking flawless
so fucking good, dude. Your kit sounds GREAT.
Thanks a lot man!
Great cover. The instrumentation, particularly drums, make this band top shelf
Great job man! You nailed this song
You've got skills to pay the bills man haha. I can tell this tired you out! You killed it for sure!
By the way, has anyone ever told you that you look like Buzz from Home Alone?
hahahaha. This made my day. And thanks for the love!
I was just gonna comment this... poo.
Very good dude. tight rolls!
Awesome cover bud!
Thanks man!
So mint.
Killed it!
Dude you freaking shred man.... Stay posi bruhther
How did you tune that floor tom?

100% accurate. I find this works best for recording.

Gnarly dude🤙
How do you have your toms mic'd? Are you using the same overhead as the cymbals? The kit projects really nice!
Did you speed the song up? It kind of sounds like the tempo was changed. Nice cover by the way.
Nah man, I didn't change the tempo. And thanks!
Any chance you can post a tutorial for this?
Nice man! I did a cover of this song as well on my page. Good work!
Awesome cover, I hope that's a green screen to make you look like you're in a carpet warehouse. lol
You should have put the video sound!
Is that a sweet ride I see? (:
Haha actually it isn't! it's a 20" Zildjian Armand Ride.
Cleeean
Playing the foot pedal pattern wrong in the chorus... otherwise great cover!
