it's my second year being in the brigade and the reasons were that covid struck us hard causing us to go from open division (2019) to 2A (2021) . By the time i entered in 2022, we went up a division trying to bring bag pipes, now were up a division again. By next year, the pipe band and the block should grow a bit more. (rebuilding). the most accurate reason is that the environment of the school nowadays. Students rather join ROTC since it's much "easier" and non "band kid" related. Another edit lol. Since Grange, our feeding school, lost their marching band, it resulted in us getting non marchers causing problems in the block while helping them how to march and play at the same time, while being ON time.
Ahhh these were the days. The Great Scarlet Brigade vs Benicia rivalry days. Course despite Fairfield’s massive size and crowd appeal in these years Benicia was the dominant force. Well, for a time...

Scarlet Brigade band was such a powerhouse back in the day. They look nothing like they used to. They look so sad now!! What happened to the program?
