Either tonight (November 21) or this Wednesday Night (November 24), this passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew will most likely be read in churches holding services across the USA. And here is hoping that everyone reading this has a Happy Thanksgiving. And if you enjoyed your meal, thank God and a farmer. And please don't make fun of or put down farmers with your mouth full of food. Both of my beloved grandfathers farmed for a living and to me, that is an insult to their memory.
Jeremiah 18, Matthew 6:25-34. Do you believe GOD is real? Are you; Alive? For me Joseph, Yes and Yes. We are not to concern ourselves with what we have for GOD blesses all with that which we require to live as long as he wills us to live. 10:36
Animals have emotional feelings and pain. They give love to people and need love. I believe God wants us to take special care of animals. In fact animals give more love than most people. In fact animals teach us love and responsibility.
You may need to work on your relationships with people. Animals don't have resistance, personalities or human realities. Most people who resort to animals as a scapegoat to why they prefer animals over people is usually because people require communication and human engagement and etc. Dogs and cats are PETS that depend on humans. You may not like humans because they don't have to OBEY you and require more. Consider why you like animals more? It's not healthy. God says " Love The Lord your God and Love your NEIGHBOR ( human). 😊
The verse clearly states that the birds DO NOT toil or spin (work for their food). What are you trying to do Pastor? Please explain why you have gone against what is written. Thank you
@Jwoo-82 yes Jwoo-82. None of them birds or lilies toil for their food like we humans do. No toiling or spinning, no sowing of seeds or gathering into barns. This is what I would be happy for the pastor (or you) to address. What I dont understand is why anyone would read the verses and decide that JESUS does not mean what HE says in the verse.
@Jwoo-82 thanks for your response. I wouldn't want to use thessalonians to contradict what JESUS said in Matt 6: 19-33 or John 6:27 because I think the bible is harmonious. Paul and JESUS always speak harmoniously so they would never contradict each other. You can look at the scriptures again and see if the command to "not" or "stop" can at any time mean "continue". You therefore need to separate what to work for. JESUS explained in John 6:27 that we should work but only for the meat that is for life but not work for the meat that perishes.
Don’t be like the Pharisees and ignore the spirit of the Word. Of course the birds of the field must seek out their food.. but they do not have to run a farm to do so. God also wants us to put in some effort, but not make it our main, driving goal in life.
This is a message for the soul.
Holy Spirit, help to trust and live on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Amen!

Animals don’t have the same capacity for love that we do. They can cuddle and be cute with you, but that’s not love.

Pastor Lance replies - Kingdom = King+Dom = A King's Domain. The Kingdom of God is where God is King. If He's king, we ought to obey Him.
Matthew chapter 6 when read properly is actually very much against the heresy of the prosperity gospel.
