I've been in this type of turbulence before over thunderstorms in Nebraska here in the United States. Horrible. In talking to a pilot friend he tells me pilots do not worry or get scared in turbulence because they understand it. Most times the plane is bouncing around 3 to 8 feet up and down, kinda like a bumpy dirt road. It's not alot of up and down but feels way worse than it is. If you saw the tests the engineers put these planes in the factory thru before flying you'd understand these machines are very sturdy.

Your comment is a comforting reminder not to be afraid of turbulence. That said it doesn’t make the going up and landing any easier lol
The unnerving thing about turbulence is that you don’t know if it’s just the weather, or a mechanical issue that is ultimately going to lead to a plane crash. Every plane crash started with turbulence.

I fly the A320 NEO around a lot in a simulator, and boy can it withstand a lot of wind! On Airbus, the weather radar in the nose of the plane will indicate any storms on our navigation display. I find i'm less nervous about turbulence on descent because it's more common as you descend through different layers of weather and you know landing is soon. Turbulence in cruise particuarly on a long haul makes me more nervous as sometimes it can last for hours.
When there's a turbulent descent all I can think is please don't let us have to go around, please don't go around...When those wheels hit the ground it's the biggest sigh of relief ever. But there have been a few times where I'm clenching my first on descent, we're just about to land, then the pilot hits full throttle because it was too bumpy to land and I'm like ugh....another 15 minutes of this s**t. :(
While flying out of Okland we had a lay over in Vegas right when Vegas was having it's annual rain like hell day and we got shook to shit. My wife and I took turns holding our 2 year old son to avoid paying for a extra seat so now we were struggling to keep him in our laps, the fight attendant sat right next to my wife on her armrest and was holding both herself and my son so they wouldn't hit the overhead compartment. As we landed the cross winds were so strong I could see the entire runway from my window. I love the engine sounds during the descent and approach. That's the best one so far that I've heard. I do have to ask why the sound changes several times throughout the video? It narrows out and widens again, and I know it's not my headphones. Thank you so much.
So it was the 80s and a Flying Tigers DC-8 was flying and had to make an emergency landing in DEN because it lost 8 feet of its leading edge because of turbulence.
great video and great footage of the turbulence. I will say most likely you flew into clouds and rain associated with the thunderstorm, you do not fly deliberatly into a thunderstorm itself.
The pilot didn't fly into the thunderstrom as described, he flew into a cirrus overhang, blown away from the anvil of a thunderstorm. When entering a real thunderstorm cloud, you are not able to see the engine or wings anymore because of the water vapor density.
It's really annoying to be told every 10 minuets or so to subscribe etc. If someone likes your video they probably will subscribe, but if they find the disturbance annoying, they probably wont!

Flying over Venezuala from Brasil, from flat jungle terrain to iced cap mountains ( part of Andes) turbulence is normal and unsettling...even on 777-300ER
Wow! Thank you for sharing that and for watching the video! Please subscribe
Beautiful clear video.. well done!
Thank you so much!!
Are you using go pro to record this
No, just an iPhone
Okie dokie
I love the engine sounds during the descent and approach. That's the best one so far that I've heard. I do have to ask why the sound changes several times throughout the video? It narrows out and widens again, and I know it's not my headphones. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! I think the audio is when zooming in The iphone uses a different Camera and mic
I got to admit That was scary but don’t worry Just be Brave it Will Help Your fear go away 😊

I know! I'm just a cry baby! Haha thank you so much for watching!!
2 years later and still waiting for the scary and strong turbulence!🤣
Hahaha! Sorryyy!!! But thank you so much for watching it
That looks scary I hope everyone was ok and you all had a safe flight
Thank you so much!!
the new flight simulator is incredible!
Thanks
Sept 12, is this why Frontier is allowing free flights for grandpa/grandma's?
🤣🤣🤣
So it was the 80s and a Flying Tigers DC-8 was flying and had to make an emergency landing in DEN because it lost 8 feet of its leading edge because of turbulence.
Wow!! Thanks for sharing that.
@@TodosLados lemme see if I can find the article about it. It’s in Smithsonian Air and Space magazine.
great video and great footage of the turbulence. I will say most likely you flew into clouds and rain associated with the thunderstorm, you do not fly deliberatly into a thunderstorm itself.
It's true! Thanks
Are they serious? They think THIS is bad? Give me a break.
😞😞😞 thank you so much for watching
That turbulence was so bad, it bent the wings at the tip!!!
yup!
The kids wailing and bawling.....was far more turbulent than the wind
Haahha
God it's awful isn't it! Sounds like a nursery on that flight. Why can't they leave the kids at home just ruins the flight!
@@Lul81028 lol
I'm glad everything was ok. ✈
Thank you so much, Tina!!
Nice video man 👍👍👍👍♥️🔥
Thanks 🔥
This is not strong turbulence, or at least it doesn't look like it on the video, classic turbulence through the clouds!
It was very scary! Haha maybe for the not experienced ones haha. Thank you so so much for watching!
Maybe not very pleasant for the passengers but for me a great video !! Thanks for sharing !!!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it

Aww thank you so much. !!
I may be in the minority but I actually like turbulence. It's like being on a roller coaster. Jets have no problem dealing with turbulence whatsoever.
Me aswell! Thank you for watching this! Please subscribe!
it s the fear of the unknown. That s what it mostly is. Not fun I agree but totally safe. The more you fly the more you'll get used to it.
Thanks
alguien dice " no pasa nada " que aerolínea es esta ? hacia donde se dirige ?
Frontier Airlines hacia Philadelphia
The pilot didn't fly into the thunderstrom as described, he flew into a cirrus overhang, blown away from the anvil of a thunderstorm. When entering a real thunderstorm cloud, you are not able to see the engine or wings anymore because of the water vapor density.
Thank you so much for watching the video, and thank you more this fact!
It's really annoying to be told every 10 minuets or so to subscribe etc. If someone likes your video they probably will subscribe, but if they find the disturbance annoying, they probably wont!
You're so right Michael. And I thank you letitng me know that. I really appreciate it
Thanks for sharing! I appreciated seeing the aerial views of Cape May and Wildwood as I spent all my childhood summers there until I was about 16 in Cape May.
Thank you for watching! You need to watch one my last videos with better views of Wildwood and Capemay from above.

The worst I was ever in was on an Easy Jet flight to Geneva from London Gatwick some years ago. our descent took us very low over the Jura mountains and that is when
the aircraft hit very scary turbulance and there were many rather white faces including mine. Not a word from the cockpit nor the cabin crew. Very unlike Easy Jet today.
I bet that was really scary. Thank you so much for sharing it. Remember to subscribe and share!
this happened to me on a Spirit Airlines A320neo from FLL to DTW
Wow!! Thank you so much for watching!
Tremendo video, pero si llego a estar en el avión de seguro infarto 😂; saludos es Laura
Awww muchas gracias
yo iguak jaja
That's nothing compared to having 3 hours worth over the Atlantic with clear air turbulence if you want to see scary then type in 787 turbulence then you know what fear feels like for severel hours.
Wow. I can't imagine that. Thank you so much for watching and the recommendation. I wilñ watch it.
@@TodosLados every aircraft I've been in any turbulence it's been chill but on the 787 tho seeing those wings fling about everywhere is truly terrifying 😩
@@nickson_2024 Sometimes I'm a chicken but at the same time I like it!!
@@TodosLados I don't mind the bumps part but seeing the wings shake about and not to mention yhe engines that wobble of the wings I get anxiety that one these days the wings wouldn't be checked and I'd hear a word concerned sound lol
Heck - screaming like that on the plane. I wonder what they were screaming like when they got to Philadelphia !
Haha
Good job flight crew. Good training.
Yes!! Thanks
Τhis is a difficult part of a flight.Nice coverage
Yes! Thanks mate
probably the most boring youtube video in the history of ever. I have an idea....why not edit it down to like 5 minutes?
Thank you for time and the tip!!
Or how about …. Not watching whole video to begin with? I find this relaxing 😌
I like to sleep when there's turbulence, it rocks you like a baby.
Hahahaha! Wow
I love flying Puerto Rico is so beautiful
Thank you so much
