Which of the ABC islands should YOU travel to for kitesurfing?

Brandon, not sure if you're still on the island, but hope you're doing well. I'm going to be heading to ABC on a cruise in Mar '23. I'm planning on bringing my foil gear as well as doing some diving. Sounds like Bonaire will be a diving day, but Aruba and Curacao will be kiting. Are the waters deep enough for foiling along those beaches you mentioned, or will it be more of a walk out to deep water?

Hey Jim! Not on the island anymore, unfortunately. For Curacao you will need to do a just little bit of walking if you’re riding the mainland spot. I highly recommend booties unless you don’t mind a rocky walk. The spots in Aruba other than baby beach and probably boca grandi would be fine. The wind at boca is onshore and there are some shallow coral spots you’ll need to be aware of.
My advice would be to kite Bonaire and dive Curacao instead. Both are fantastic for diving, but you’re looking for the best kite conditions without risking your foil then Bonaire is your best bet.
