- When it comes to executing innovative ideas, funding can be a major roadblock. The fintech landscape has attracted a lot of investor capital in recent times which creates the impression that raising capital is quite simple. However, your chances of raising capital dwindle significantly if you're not adequately informed about the avenues available to you. So in this video I share with you five options you can explore to raise capital for your fintech idea, app or startup.

Thanks for the compliment Dela, I'm glad you found the content useful. Shirley is the real MVP😊
Great video with tips applicable to basically anyone who wants to venture into entrepreneurship. Thanks for sharing and my go to would be FnF with some formalized t&c’s as you recommended.
Thanks for the continued support Ash. Very daring option but with precautions could work very well.
Hi
I am very interested in your vedio
Thanks for vedio
You're welcome Raju
Great Value here Brother🤝
Glad you found it useful
My business partner and I built our business mainly on bootstrapping. We also got some support from Family and friends and it went well for the most part. However there were two instances where the expectations from the FnF became 'interesting'. I support your point about clearly defining terms when choosing FnF funding.
It would be great to hear the entire story so others can learn. I'm glad you could relate and I'm keen to hear what your advice would be for those newbies starting off 😊
@@JeremyQuainooI'd write a whole chapter if I were to share the experience😄. Perhaps one day you can interview me on your platform 😇.
I think that the first thing to note when taking funding from FnF is that it is not for free even if its a gift.
If its a loan, ensure that the terms you agree to are clear for both you and the giver and then keep them. If its a gift find a way to acknowledge the giver in a way that they feel appreciated.
Also, try not to take anything personally. Actions taken out of emotions can be detrimental to you in many ways

@@angorkornai-kwade1292 Awesome advice, thanks Maakor👍🏼
Very insightful video. Can you do one that explains how to effectively distribute equity should one decide to get external funding
That's a good point Tesen. I'll do some research around it. Of the top of my head O would say its better to get fewer equity shareholders with decent sized allocations for faster decision making. In my experience if you try to hog equity or distribute little amount to several people it just creates layers and friction points. But a very good question👍🏼
Great thanks for this
Most welcome Zainulabideen
I prefer bootstrapping and crowd funding.
Both good options!
@@JeremyQuainoo ohk thanks.
However, I've been searching for your twitter handle or email address.
I need your advise on a concept. If you would grace me a minute of your time, I'll appreciate.
Good job .. very educative .... I totally believe we work together one day ... Am planning to come up with a Fintech payment App ...! ... once again ..thank you for sharing such wonderful information ...

I want a course on fintec development
Great initiative.
Where can I learn programming course for fintec online
You would have to explore online courses on platforms like udemy, coursera, edx etc
What about banks 🤔
What about banks?
@@JeremyQuainoo can't I get a loan of like $5million from bank if my fintech gets some traction? Instead of going for VC that will take a percentage for life
@@giftfolique464 You certainly can, that would be a debt raise. However, what you tend to find is that because of the risk of failure that startups have, most banks are not wiling to provide you upfront funding for your startup. They usually require you to have a track record of success in order to provide you with the funding you require.
@@JeremyQuainoo Alright, thanks
Hi sir I have a huge solution and fintech idea I have been working on since last year but I need to discuss with you to get or gather more information and support to develop my fintech app please how can we communicate
