Since Congress still hasn't released 90% or more of the video footage, I don't really know much of what happened on J6. But the fighting with the cops may have been related to the cops without warning firing flashbang explosive devices into the crowd in front of the Capitol, killing two (Kevin Greeson and Benjamin Phillips) and wounding an unknown number of others. You know, that's the kind of thing that can make people angry. How often are those devices used on crowds?

A 36-year-old white woman, a 12 year vet was was shot to death being unarmed, not a threat to anyone specially to the black capitol police officer who cowardly shot her standing in a separate room. I don’t blame her mother for making that comment because she knows if the races were reversed, and Ashley Babbitt was an African-American woman from BLM THAT WHITE CAPITAL POLICE OFFICER WOULD BE SITTING IN A JAIL CELL RIGHT NOW. They investigated for a week and within a week they found it being a justified shooting and not only did the black police officer find himself in a jail cell he was promoted.. White lives matter too !
