it doesn't really bother me that much when a small indie game uses AI, usually it just means they would have skipped doing it, like how a lot of indie games don't have voice acting. it just makes me disappointed because that is a missed opportunity to hire an amateur VA. another specific case where it doesn't bother me is like in the case of Flight Simulator 2024, where having dynamic voiced ATC in every language in the world would be next to impossible to do practically, and using AI would sound better than simple text to speech. but I completely agree storefronts need an AI tag, at least if major aspects of the game uses AI, just like we have tags for procedural generation.
I want to remind people since I see a lot of criticism on the voice acting, that Steam requires devs to be upfront if their games contain AI generated content, as such this game (at the time I am posting this comment) does not contain AI generated content as it does not mention it on the Steam page as required.
Steam asks the creators to report if they do, yes, but there are many who do not report their games properly. In a perfect world I'm sure all games would have their AI labeled on steam.
I love this community, but this is not AI VA work it sounds like one person using their voice twice and pitch shifting it down for one instance. This game feels like to me it does not include AI from what I've seen and I would love to see the comments speculate less and enjoy more!
Yeah, I think it’s just bad voice acting from someone who speaks English as a second language. I have no idea why someone would choose such a hard to understand accent for the voice if it were really AI.

hey gab! about a week ago, a huge and adorbale updae for Slime rancher 2 came out! I was recently rewatching you play the first part of SR2 and I feel like you would have so much fun jumping back into it! so many wiggly bois to find!
I don't know about this one, but just in general? I really wish devs would only go with well readable text over using AI voiceovers. If you can't afford VA's, then don't add any. It can still be a great game. I get that using AI for stuff is... cheaper. But it is scamming the gamers who pay for that shit. I am not absolutely strictly Anti-AI as I can see its perks if used minimally for personal uses. But definitely not to create art & games that you sell to people. Big no-no. AI steals stuff from across the internet. It's a compilation of stolen stuff.
It should be a requirement for devs to list if they used AI in the storefront. Same way they’d list actual voice actors.

Reminds me a bit of the movie "Trauma" (2004) w/ Colin Firth for the setup and ending. Not exactly but, that's what my brain says.
I would personally prefer it if Gab didn’t play games with so much AI usage in them. I don’t find it entertaining or valuable when creators use AI for much more than a few assets and I won’t watch those playthroughs. Looking forward to seeing more real games again when Gab plays them.
it doesn't really bother me that much when a small indie game uses AI, usually it just means they would have skipped doing it, like how a lot of indie games don't have voice acting. it just makes me disappointed because that is a missed opportunity to hire an amateur VA. another specific case where it doesn't bother me is like in the case of Flight Simulator 2024, where having dynamic voiced ATC in every language in the world would be next to impossible to do practically, and using AI would sound better than simple text to speech. but I completely agree storefronts need an AI tag, at least if major aspects of the game uses AI, just like we have tags for procedural generation.
25:16 the cuutessstt goobyy XD
Second I saw the piano I thought moonlight sonata
I want to remind people since I see a lot of criticism on the voice acting, that Steam requires devs to be upfront if their games contain AI generated content,
as such this game (at the time I am posting this comment) does not contain AI generated content as it does not mention it on the Steam page as required.
Steam asks the creators to report if they do, yes, but there are many who do not report their games properly. In a perfect world I'm sure all games would have their AI labeled on steam.
when she says "Witold" it always sounds as if she is saying "wittle" ^^
40:27 That is def. TMI! 😳😂
Have u told this to Sean yet, or is that position just for the teddy bear🧸⁉️
the psychiatrist voice sounded like the squid/octopus guy from Banban
They use the same voices in Garten of banban
I love this community, but this is not AI VA work it sounds like one person using their voice twice and pitch shifting it down for one instance.
This game feels like to me it does not include AI from what I've seen and I would love to see the comments speculate less and enjoy more!
Yeah, I think it’s just bad voice acting from someone who speaks English as a second language. I have no idea why someone would choose such a hard to understand accent for the voice if it were really AI.
well this was something. the end didn't make a lot of sense to me
i think i got scared by almost every jump scare
Jump scares started to get pretty repetitive and cheap in this one but the rest was pretty cool! It looked good.
Gab reacting too 1994 people being babies. I’m a 30 year old 👶 😂
I am the earliest that I have ever been and probably not the earliest that you have ever seen
26:56 im crying why would they say that 😂
pretty cool game house made me think of The Rose Red Mansion... speaking of which i went over to my sons birthday get together last night and they played this game with VR ps5 called Madison.this game freaked out everyone. it was right up your alley. If you liked to check it out. Horror/puzzle/Pt ish game.
Gab, please play the rest of the Nancy Drew games soon!
She played it few days ago on twitch, maybe she will upload it on youtube soon.
Oh he was possessed
The house was cool but the layout made no sense! Also what was in the basement, the Mari Lwyd?? I was waiting for it to come back and you'd have to hide from it, but nope. This whole thing was weirdness with jump scares. So much weirdness, as is befitting an indie horror game. :-P
Loving the purrs from BB...😻😻
GOD, I GOT JUMPSCARED *TWICE* 😭😭😭
Is it weird I kinda wanna be here when he was doing the experiments...? 😅 I'm kind of into that shit. 😂
Lazy people uses assets.
I wonder if the demon possessed Mark.
I love BB❤
hey gab! about a week ago, a huge and adorbale updae for Slime rancher 2 came out! I was recently rewatching you play the first part of SR2 and I feel like you would have so much fun jumping back into it! so many wiggly bois to find!
AI should be avoided. Word.
Man the AI voice is really bad💀
I hope indie developers realize that no voice is better then AI voice.
94 is baby ?
Ill take that as a conpliment as a 96 person lol
You’re here because the algorithm decided you deserve a treat. 💛
Aweee beebus 🥺
I so with you could play Lorelei and the laser eyes !
Yo! Tell BB I said 'hi'!
Awesome!
