If you think about it she had a very tragic destiny :( she didn’t deserve to die like that she loves children she loves inuyasha but they were betrayed by stupid naraku.
It warms my heart knowing she got to Rest In Peace but I can’t help but wish she and Inuyasha got a happy ending. They’re soulmates but I guess their fate was sealed. If Naraku seized to exist, then Kikyo and Inuyasha probably would’ve had kids and lived happily with each other but then Sango and Miroku probably would’ve never met. Once you die, you can never be brought back to life. (She kinda did but she was apart of the walking dead) all she wanted was to spend her life with Inuyasha even if it was in the depths of hell. Everything was laid out well but it’s still heartbreaking to know that they were torn apart. They taught each other so much; Inuyasha should’ve just followed her into the depths of hell.
In my heart, I wish she gets reborn and reunite with Inuyasha someday. Before Naraku deceit, they love each other with all their heart and even Inuyasha could not forget about her years after her death.
+Aiku Misaki Kagome role is much simpler. Throughout the series, she mainly had to detect shards and use her spiritual powers to support the group. Kikyou on the other hand was the main focus of Naraku for the most part, use elaborate planning to defeat him and help people throughout her journey. Even after her death, what she did still had influence on Naraku mindset.
Everybody always puts her at the enemy side but if they could read it, after Kagome's soul returned into Kagome's body, it's said only Kikyo's malice is in Kikyo body. Everyone just gets "she tried to kill Kagome, she is bad".. Um hello guys, only her hatred and malice is stuck in this body, and she rebuilds herself around that. So of course in the beginning she can't be nice. She always had to stick up to people's expectations. she must have been feeling so lonely.
