I had a black on black 96 SVT cobra that I got after high school and I absolutely love that car! When you’re that age with a car like that it might as well be a Ferrari! I did a lot of shit to it, I put on an off-road H pipe, Flowmaster turn downs, 373 gear, rebuilt transmission because I blew up the other one lol, short throw shifter, cold air intake, lowering springs I mean it was gorgeous and it sounded absolutely insane! I got to a lot of street races in that car!
Cool review, and you’re completely right about everything that’s wrong with these cars lol but once you get rid of most of the things that suck about the car and tastefully mod it they look really good! I love my 96 cobra, I will never sell mine,I also have an 03 Mach 1, and my brother has a supercharged 95 gt that you can see in my channel
Have a New-Edge mustang gt 4.6 2v. Have stock seats ,completely agree they suck .New motor from 2011 Crown Victoria police intercepter. It's also lowered , new rims , tires. Short throw shifter as well, cobra calipers , brakes . Nice little sports car .
Not sure how old you are but you are incorrect. The styling of the Fox body and SN95 mustangs were very popular for their times, much like today you would see them everywhere. You are sitting in aftermarket seats.
Can you daily these just got a sn95 cobra I need to do some maintenance on it and I honestly am bored of my ek9 sedan would much rather daily the cobra
New subscriber here!...love the cobra!...I own tko restorations mystic chrome mustang gt build from their channel and I'm planning on doing a 4v teksid swap from a Lincoln Mark VIII...plans are to swap out the b heads for c heads and some forced induction!...if anyone wants to see videos of my cars build go to tko restos channel and theres two videos...they are from 5 years ago so you'll have to scroll down a bit but you'll see the whole mystic chrome build there!
I think the shifting position is the biggest problem with these sn95s. It absolutely sucks! But nothing sounds as good as those modular 4.6 motors nothing tops them in sound in my humble opinion.
Cali special isnt really comaprable to these its a fancy gt basically nothing better performance wise. The svt and ford performance stuff is all about being tasteful and real performance.
yeah the stock seats suck. Even tilted fully forward/upright it has me leaning back too much. That's probably my biggest gripe. Oh yeah, and the gas gauge is a joke as you mentioned. Don't trust it. 94-97 had 215 rated 285 tq 1998 got bumped to 225 and 290 the 93 was 205 285 and 87-92 is 225 300. .the 94-95 cobra was rated 240 hp but they actually had closer to 275 they dyno 230 to the wheels bone stock. Make no mistake its a decent bit quicker stock for stock vs a 96 gt.

I wouldn’t mind dayling one as long as seats are not stock. But I’m young and don’t have much expectations for comfort.

Base 96 gt is 225hp a 95 cobra has 240 hp 😳
