But while compiling the 2004 DVD they were found to have been picked up by a secondary microphone and recorded onto a previously uncatalogued multi-track audio tape of his performance in the BBC archives. So all's well that ends well.
@@desperatemohammedantheworl5833 , no, Paul did a new vocal overdub in his own studio the other day. That was used for the DVD. The Beatles had done so before with their concert at Shea Stadium. You can"t get a proper sound from a secondary mic that's not anywhere near to Paul's mouth.
@@ifaeeafiify If so explain the retrieved Freddie Mercury vocals on Is This the Word We Created. Also I doubt they would have went to the trouble of rerecording Paul's voice and not taken opportunity to fix Nik Kershaw and Simon Le Bon's moments of singing flat (which weren't included on the DVD) or the faulty sound mix during The Temptations partially obscured their vocals during their first two numbers (included on the DVD but noticeably poor sounding)
@@desperatemohammedantheworl5833 There was never any mic issue (except for some feedback) at the Mercury/May performance.
