Ten years on, the Avengers still holds up as a solid superhero action film with airtight storytelling, engaging character work, and truly spectacular set-pieces.
The moment Marvel fans had been clamoring for: their favorite heroes assembled together on the big screen against a larger threat, and the moment did not disappoint. The action makes great use of each Avenger's individual skill set, helping to maintain a sense of flair and excitement during the entirety of this superpowered climax. The big standout is a continuous shot that manages to features all of the Avengers fending off the Chitauri invasion, perfectly demonstrating the large scale of the battle and the awesome power that Earth's mightiest heroes have to fight them off.
Ever since his first appearance in the original Thor movie, Tom Hiddleston's performance has fans charmed. Loki has a long character arc throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that many fans appreciate, and have come to love the villain more for it.
Came here after Endgame.. It was an overwhelmingly remarkable and breathtaking movie I've ever watched. I felt the same emotions as the characters in the movie. And thus, this will be the most unforgettable and memorable movie to reminisce in the future. "Part of the journey is the end..."
Remaining a pop culture phenomenon ten years later, the Avengers features iconic lines and battle sequences, alongside genuinely heartfelt character interactions that solidified the characters as ones that viewers would care about immensely, even three sequels later. Despite some outdated character designs and lines, the Avengers remains one of the greatest of its genre.
It has been 10 years since the Avengers debuted in theaters, and the crossover movie truly brought the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the forefront of pop culture, where it has remained ever since. There are plenty of memorable aspects of the movie, from Alan Silvestri's score to the colorful cinematography to the action sequences.
The ambition of the project paid off as fans got to see these iconic characters share the screen in a hugely entertaining adventure. The cast worked so well together and there was a lot of fun with the heroes clashing before assembling as a team for the thrilling finale.
During a time where superhero shared universes were not the norm, the shot of the six Avengers standing in a circle in 2012's The Avengers took the world by storm. In addition to it being a team of six heroes setting differences aside and working together, it was a successful moment of individual movie franchises coming together. The shot perfectly captures the heroism and the unity that the Avengers represent. It is so simple yet so effective that when fans think of the best moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe; even after three Avengers movies, they still think of this one.
@@mingshenliu319 You think anyone was ever born in time to see the dinosaurs? "Oh look, that's a T-Rex right there. Why is it running over here? Uh-oh." *chomp*
Captain America is certainly one of Marvel's most inspirational heroes. Steve Rogers is one of the most unwaveringly moral people in Marvel history. Even when the existence of reality itself was on the line, Captain America refused to compromise his morals.
The Avengers was arguably Joss Whedon's best contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, received extremely well by audiences and critics alike. It kickstarted the Avengers film series and was entertaining from start to finish. Characters were given room to breathe, their interactions were hilarious and heartfelt, and every actor brought their A-game. The story is simple and hugely effective: a fan-favorite for children and adults alike.
1:06 always does it for me- as soon as I hear that part I always imagine the Avengers around me, each with a hand outstretched and stacked, giving slow nods of approval, telling me that we’re all in this together. God bless you Stan. He saw what we could all become if we all actually worked together
The Battle of New York represented the first time that the entire original six Avengers suited up and fought as a team. Even earlier in the movie, when Loki's minions attacked the Quinjet to free him, they were not on the same team. Hawkeye was mind controlled and fighting Black Widow. Thor was trying to contain the Hulk. Captain America and Iron Man were trying to ensure the ship stayed afloat. The Battle of New York marked the actual beginning of the Avengers, and it was a glorious start. The team worked together cohesively and knew that the rest of the members had their backs at all times. It was hard to imagine that they had not fought together before, with Bruce Banner even sharing his big secret as he transforms into the Incredible Hulk. The first installment of the Avengers saga also gives a hint as to who is actually reliable for the team, and who may be a little less consistent.
The fact that Captain America always sticks to his principles is one of the most inspiring elements of the character, particularly for young viewers who will see him as a role model.
Some readers are looking for escapism, but others are looking for a realistic, relatable story where superheroes seem real and plausible. This relatability allows the fans to easily connect with these characters and see the humane side that makes them far more than just being a superhero.
After nearly a decade of waiting, I FINALLY got to hear Captain America say it. *"Avengers... Assemble!"* Thanks for the ride, Marvel. It's been an amazing 10 years. :)
"Sir, how does it work now? They've gone their separate ways some, pretty extremely far. If we get into a situation like this again what happens then?" "They’ll come back." "Are you really sure about that?" "I am." "Why?" "Because we’ll need them to."
Scott Lang's growth throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies is one of the best of any character. Scott Lang truly becomes a hero and because underneath his comedy is genuine sensitivity and a wish to make the harshness of reality just a little easier for others to live through.
Loki and Ultron are both fantastically deadly Marvel Cinematic Universe villains, each posing a serious threat to the Avengers and keeping audiences biting their nails on the edge of their seats. The unique qualities they bring make them just as memorable as Thanos, even if the latter is more of a recurring threat to the cinematic world.
Imagine the circle shot of the first Avengers film but this time with every MCU hero so far and Captain America saying "Avengers Assemble" against Thanos in Endgame. Goosebumps!
Over a decade ago, the idea of several Marvel superheroes teaming up in a live-action film with a 200 million dollars plus budget seemed like a pipe dream. The dream became a reality in 2012 and cinema was forever changed. The Avengers supplied the spectacular action that audiences anticipated, yet the in sync character inactions that made this something special. The heroes bounce quips off each other so naturally, resulting in some of the superhero genre's most memorable exchanges. The visuals worked their way into the zeitgeist with the climatic group shot becoming the stuff of legend.
The image of the Avengers assembling for the first time is seared into the memories of many fans, and this song will play in their heads every time they think of it.
With Loki leading a Chitauri army into Manhattan, we finally get our first look at a fully-formed, original six Avengers team. From seeing Iron Man and Captain America perform their first shield repulsor beam team-up to the Incredible Hulk taking down a leviathan, the Battle of New York still stands as one of the most epic Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers moments.
These heroes in the Marvel Universe have been betrayed, wounded or had their hearts broken, but they still managed to keep their faith in people and keep fighting another day.
The Avengers is the most lighthearted film in the series as well as an almost continuous romp that barely hints at the darker future only finally resolved with Avengers: Endgame. But even these hints evaporate during the climax when a virtual conga line of Chitauri invaders are beaten off by Earth's superheroes and extraordinarily colorful defenders.
Did he actually say that in the movie? Because I didn't really notice it in the cinema then. I guess I was too busy jumping excitedly in my seat like a 5 year old to notice. 😂

What makes the Avengers wonderful is that this film shows fans' favorite heroes working together for the first time and that it is the start of the journey of one of the most popular superhero groups of all time.
Hawkeye and Black Widow are great examples. Their underpowered persona that matches up to the other members of the Avengers is admirable, and a reason to love Marvel more for portraying how great and necessary a normal person can be on the battlefield.
The Avengers are committed to doing good, helping others, and pushing back the forces of evil. As a team, they have been through a lot since their debut in 1963, and they are inspiring even more people thanks to their enormous popularity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Avengers defines the blockbuster cinema in the 2010s and represents the biggest turning point in Hollywood that would define the business in the years that followed.
*AVENGERS ASSEMBLE* - Captain America *I AM IRON MAN* - Iron Man *I KNEW IT* - Thor *I WEAR CLOTHES NOW* - Hulk Legends never die! The journey will never be the end! *we love Avengers 3000 more*
The climactic battle sequence from the first Avengers movie became the benchmark for the finale of its franchises. From the iconic shot of Earth's Mightiest Heroes assembling on-screen to the cinematic splash page swooping across the city to Iron Man's poignant sacrifice, the battle of New York City is the gold standard for Marvel battle sequences.
The Avengers, being the elite band of professionals they usually are, rarely let knuckleheads onto the team. Most weapons have become legendary precisely because their owners are so skilled at using them.
The gamble of bringing together iconic characters from individual movies pays off tremendously, making the Avengers one of the most influential films of the last decade. The Avengers proves the potential for a shared cinematic universe and delivers an immensely entertaining adventure.
Age of Ultron, Infinity War and Endgame are still impressive achievements in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with memorable moments, iconic villains and a satisfying conclusion to the Infinity Saga.
After years of solo superhero adventures, Kevin Feige and Marvel engineered the massive team-up that was the Avengers. While not the first of its kind, the film certainly showed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe was viable after all. With Iron Man, Captain America and others assembled into one film, some people thought the flick would be a convoluted disaster. Not only did the movie defy critics, it became an unfathomable success. Laying the groundwork for future cultural touchstones like Black Panther, the film raised the bar for superhero and big budget franchises. If Iron Man reintroduced Marvel as a powerhouse, it was the Avengers that pushed the genre to new heights.

T'Challa soon befriends many Marvel heroes, and his love and loyalty to his family and Wakanda ultimately makes him one of the best heroes around.

"THE AVENGERS?! That's great!........ What is that!?"
