Hey JP thanks for taking the steps we needed to make this a more enjoyable truck . I pre ordered one and almost got a refund but seeing these videos by you has given me faith. Ordering all the parts as we speak, picking up the mini maxx later today! Cheers brother !
We 100% agree, this is for sure not the ideal situation by any means on something brand new out of the box. But we are hoping this helps to keep people up and running with there new Mini Maxx and keep them having fun in the hobby.
Great video! I’m going to run mine stock but it’s good to see how easily it can be upgraded. Thanks JP and Ultra for posting this! BTW, what parkade did you film the running footage?!
Thank you so much for tuning in! JP took it down to the market mall parade or to his significant others under ground parking for the building. I will double check and we will let you know!
You could go that route as well just need to change over the ring gear as the normal VXL ring gear makes the mesh too tight as well as you need to retain the front pinion as no other truck in the 1/10 4x4 line up doesn’t use that style pinion
We don’t disagree we just want to make sure anyone that may have bought the truck already and broke it can still have fun with it before all of the parts become available. Plus do a little bit of an upgrade at the same time

Not sure why Traxxas didn’t just do this from the beginning, they could have used parts they already had. Instead they spent R&D inferior parts and ticked off a lot of their customers with misleading advertising.
Just so you know I had this figured out all most two weeks ago and I didn’t put it on my utube you should not be giving this away you Owen a hobby shop you should be building them and selling them
That is awesome to hear that you had also thought of this as well!! Our main goal with this series is to give back to the community that supports us and ensure that they can have fun with the new Mini Maxx after it may have broken and stock parts seem to be an issue and hopefully solve it once and for all.

Awesome video very informative 👍. Sucks that it didn't come out the box like that.
Great video. Thanks Jason!
Thanks for watching!
Amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Good Job 👍
Thank you so much!
How the truck should have came. Traxxas might as well hire you for the engineering side of things lmao
Shouldn't have to do that.. Traxxas missled us .. Should have a recall and not state it's 3s capable.. Your videos are appreciated regardless.. cheers

If a man thinketh, he ll come up with something good 👍
Thank you!
I like that rear wing. What are the parts necessary to fit it? Can you make a video about it? Thanks
This is a 4x4 rustler wing 6721. I can see if we can make up a video about that
So how much is all that to upgrade a truck that was advertised as being 3s ready????

2 Complete HD diffs from Traxxas are $59.00, all this costs $56.00 just FYI
You could go that route as well just need to change over the ring gear as the normal VXL ring gear makes the mesh too tight as well as you need to retain the front pinion as no other truck in the 1/10 4x4 line up doesn’t use that style pinion
So really this truck costs £330 after you fix the diffs, and you still need to add the motor and esc for 3S.
Just buy a MT10 and save your money.

Seems like a lot of
Seems like a lot of work to do to a brande new rig lolol
