Glad to see you again, great restoration on the sprinkler. Funny that you worked on this, I've been looking at buying one, surposed to be great sprinkler.
Haven't seen one of those in a long time. It's a classic! Beautiful job on the restoration. Just to mention....there are times when the camera focus of slightly off, such as when you were sandblasting. Just thought I'd mention it. :)
I think that one drive pin was intentionally missed out, so that it is easier to negotiate the curves in the hose as it travels along it, otherwise it would want to drive dead straight (especially with the spiked wheels).
Like the JD conversion. But why in the world would anybody water their lawn? I look forward to August when the grass dries up and stops growing and I don't have to cut it any more.
I'm told some women like men that are good with their hands, I always try to make sure all the parts get the proper attention. As for your husband I think you should show him more instructional videos, and give him the encouragement to fulfill all your restoration needs. Best of luck, thanks for watching.
@@vintagemachineworks OK. I just bought a 60 gal from Lowes to supply the plasma cutter I got to convert my Longmill CNC router to CNC plasma. Now I was thinking about a sand blaster. Thanks
Great work
These traveling sprinklers are classic.
Excellent! Still have one.
Thanks for watching

It's been awhile, These sprinklers do work great and can water about a 30 foot wide path at a time. Thanks for watching.
An excellent restoration as always
Thank you

My camera equipment isn't the best, but the sandblasting is filmed through 2 layers of glass so it makes it look out of focus. thanks for watching.

It's possible I didn't think of that. Thanks for the comment.
how are you?-really outtstanding picture~catch you later, :))

I agree with you. Also the area where I live we pay for water, so let it turn brown, it always comes back in the fall. Thanks for watching.
I like the John Deere Green. Melnor still makes a traveling sprinkler but they don't look as good as the old ones.
Nothing like a man who knows his way around a sprinkler. If u are holding any boot camps this summer I’ll be sending my husband. Return not required.

@@vintagemachineworks if only it were that simple. But that does not detract from what is excellent advice. 😊
How heavy is the sprinkler?
Not sure exactly but it is pretty heavy. It's made from cast iron and needs the weight for traction.
They are quite heavy, I guess about 20 pounds.
How big is the air compressor that feeds your sand blaster?
My compressor is a 60 gallon, 12.5 CFM @ 100 psi. It is not really big enough, I have to stop every 10 minutes and let it catch up. Bigger is better.

Did you replace all of the internal gears as part of the restoration? If so, where did you get the new gears?
I didn't have to replace any of the internals in this one. I did see parts available online.
And I thought I was the only one like to send you pictures of the ones I built
