Absolutely magnificent. What a beautiful voice. He's got the whole package. Very good looking, fantastic voice, excellent technique. Bravo, bravo. I hope he will have a fantastic career as classical singer.

@@celibidache1000 If the singers appeal brings new people to things other than Grunge or Grime, isn't that a good thing? After all, what is Heinz, if not 57 sugary varieties? Surely, it is about educating the musical palate to expect more and to enjoy different thigs; the joy and the accessibility of music regardless of genre. Think for whom the music was first written and where it was performed. Not everyone can be as educated as you; I am not. My ignorance does not forestall my enjoyment, both at Mass and at home (or whilst playing this piece on the piano). Cujus Animam - His Life. Vita Doctrina as we don't say nowadays.

this area requires the voice to be in command. this is what this dramatic tenor demonstrates. not rushing through it like mad. thank you to the conductor for understanding this!
Dramatic tenor? He's a light Rossini style tenor. Small voice. Dramatics would rarely, if ever, sing this piece. Not a criticism of the singer, just an acknowledgment of his voice type.

Stefano,.... con tutto il mio rispetto, quella tecnica non é italiana, da tempo voleva dirtelo, quella emissione, IO... se lo insegnata a Paolo, gli italiani si sono dimenticati di cantare bene....é triste dirlo...Paolo dovrebbe essere il più grande tenore del momento, al meno nella sua corda, però é tutta tecnica mia....!!! Un abbraccio...!!!

Hey man. I know what you mean. Thing is: Many tenors do this as an effect in certain parts of the music. He is relaxed again for the high note later. He is 39 and it's a beautiful and healthy voice!

Divin.
Lopez Cobos ignore les nuances de cette partition et ne facilite pas le travail des solistes. Dommage surtout quand on a une œuvre aussi belle et des chanteurs de qualité comme ici Paolo Fanale. Rossini n'est ni Wagner ni Verdi. Il demande un grand soin dans l'accompagnement afin d'en faire sentir les richesses harmoniques.

I am a Bass and the D flat is easy. This guy is great and do not over analyse him. If you could not see him you would think he was an ace. Better than Jonas Kaufman with his excessive lip and mouth singing....
People overanalyze him way too much.
I think he is absolutely gorgeous. Yeah he pushes a little bit, so what? Carreras pushed his entire career and that made him a world famous tenor.

La gran mayoria de los tenores jovenes comienzan cantando arias para ligeros, despues de algun tiempo, por diversas razones cambian a liricos o spintos, los verdaderos ligeros permanecen.. mucho tiene que ver la tecnica, y el adecuado repertorio.
Mucho tambien tiene que ver con el hecho que no era el repertorio justo desde el inicio! XD
Quanta esforço e rigidez vocal ! Daqui a alguns anos não terá mais voz . A ópera virou um.mercado de pessoas bonitas , porém descartáveis ,como tudo nessa sociedade de consumo.
