The whole song is a screw you to him, his house where he supposedly cheated with other women in. The work out was his work out, piano from the movie where they first met. The suit he wore when he disrespected her on a red carpet. You go Miley! Dancing all by myself in my apartment when I went through a horrible divorce made me feel happy, listening to my favourite and new music still does and I’m I’ll be 70 next month. I have all the remotes, starfish sleep in my bed, stay in my pjs all day if I want, eat and buy what I want. There are some days I feel lonely but I have my kids, grandkids, friends and I enjoy my own company too.

I kept trying to relive the safety I felt in the relationship, years after, but lately I started to understand that I wanna learn how to find safety within. Love myself, nurture myself, take myself to places I wanna go to. I don't want to wait for someone else to do it for me or with me. This song IS an anthem, I definitely agree. We're all here for you

IDK, this doesn't feel like an anthem at all, I feel like she is still crazy with hurt, at least at the time she was writing this, rightfully so. It just feels so sad to me, and did at the first listen. Everything I've learned about this song since then has only led me further down that path. She looks amazing, so I'm glad that she is taking care of herself, and I hope she is seeing someone to work on things, she has said she is in a much better place. Her voice seems to be healing, although the damage has altered it permanently, she still can sing beautifully, and her voice will suit most of what she wants to do. She and Dolly sounded great over Christmas! This is a beautiful song, and I'm glad that so many people are taking it as a bad ass anthem, because that is what music should be, right?
