Hello everyone! I have returned! I have fully recovered from being sick since the past few days and I have been taking my time to read your comments while I was resting…AND a lot of you have requested for me to do Unknown God’s theme soi here it is!
Making this theme was very challenging as we don’t really know much about the Unknown God currently. There’s little we know about her theme as well. So the motif that I used in this video was taken from the early game cutscene where we choose to be either Aether or Lumine starting from 0:55 and the Photon of Fluctuation motif starting from 2:45. Other than the official motif, I completely made up all the other compositions. Starting from the very beginning where there were “alien” like sounds all the way until the end where it all became semi dramatic cinematic kind of.
The alien-like sounds were there to further strengthen the Unknown God’s presence. We do not know anything about her power and where she came from technically, so I feel like those alien-like sounds would really fit the atmosphere. Aside from that, the reason why I made it more cinematic was because I imagined that this fight would be one of the or if not the last fight we have to do in Genshin. So I personally think making it more cinematic and more dramatic would really fit the “finale” of the game. That is my personal take, I am curious to know and learn if you a different approach towards her fight and please do leave a comment down below if you want to share it!
Overall, this theme was really challenging to make but I hope you still enjoyed it! I wanted to use other official motifs but I can’t seem to find any that’ll suit the Unknown God aside from the two motifs that I used. But as usual, I had fun creating this theme and once again, I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and as always, have an absolute great day and take care everyone!

I really like how it speeds more and more as we're getting to the end, I also feel like, that during the battle, we may lose hope, and 2:45 is the part where we get why and for who are we fighting. Realizing there are just many good memories we had with not just with people with visions, but also with NPCs. That gives us hope, and some of them may even join in the battle, like Fatui Harbingers, Archons and possibly Dainsleif, all of them at Unknown God, for the battle that ends all battles...

Delighted to have finally made it early!! INCREDIBLY intense and powerful, and feels EVERY BIT like an imposing final boss theme befitting a character who is still largely a mystery! Even then you captured the overall vibe to a T. Hoyo, HIRE THIS GUY.

Aether: I am doing this for the sake of my sister, Dainsleif and the whole of Teyvat!
With that, Paimon suddenly glows with a bright light and reveals her true power and fights alongside with Aether.
Paimon: I will help my best friend with this!
Aether: Paimon?? You have changed!
Paimon: Yep. I finally found my power. Now, let's do this Aether!
Aether: Alright.
Unknown god: You two are still no match for me! Your story ends here NOW!
Aether and Paimon: We'll see about that!
Traveler, Paimon and the Unknown god squared off one last time. Each of their blows, and strikes created the biggest blasts in the whole of Teyvat (it is like they are in a celestialarena). The battle almost looked like tanks firing and emergency vehicles lighting up their sirens at night when they are near at each other. The colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, light blue, purple and white (which is the color of the seven elements except for the white one) have illuminated Celestia. With this, Aether thought that he has faced someone who is much more powerful than any enemy he faced on Teyvat. Suddenly, Aether and Paimon got exhausted and the Unknown god throws them away with her power and Aether and Paimon lands at 20m away. Aether then remembers the flashbacks of the Genshin events like the Windblume, Lantern Rite, Irodori Festival and other festivals and events and the happy moments he had with other Genshin characters.
He also hears voices of his friends in his mind (which caused him to be more determined to fight):
- Amber: Thank you Aether. Let's go for some sticky honey roast. Let's go.
- Jean: From this day onwards, my honor and loyalty lie with you.
- Barbara: Thank you so much Traveler. giggles
- Lisa: Thanks cutie. You made my day.
- Diluc: I owe you my thanks, Aether.
- Fischl: Even at the last, when I bring the lightning of retribution upon this world, you shall come to no harm, for thou art blessed by the Prinzessin.
- Sucrose: I'd love to hear any stories you have about your adventures. I'd... really like that.
- Klee: You are my bestest friend ever Aether.
- Venti: The wind will lead you Traveler.
- Zhongli: You are capable of finding them and bringing them into the light. As long as you firmly believe that you are on the right path... everything has meaning.
- Tartaglia: One day, I shall conquer the world Aether.
- Beidou: Join me in an adventure. I got your back.
- Kazuha: Let us journey together for a time.
- Ayaka: I will keep you in my prayers Traveler. Your wish will surely come true.
- Yoimiya: Friends are forever.
- Kokomi: Let's go for a stroll on the evening.
- Itto: Feel the power of Arataki Numero Uno Itto!
- Gorou: We will defend those who fight alongside with us.
- Collei: My real superpower is all about the adventure experience I've had with you. Thank you Traveler.
Dainsleif: Show me that you are worthier than I to save her and the whole of Teyvat. Now, it is your time!
Unknown god: ARGH! *lands n defeat*
Aether: Are you still gonna fight me?
Paimon: Or are you gonna surrender Ms. Heavenly Principles?
Unknown god: Noooooo! I will not perish like this! Never!!!!
Aether: You took everything from me, Unknown god.
Paimon: Now finish her off Aether!
Unknown god: No Aether! I order you... to stop this! You crooks! I WILL TAKE BOTH OF YOU!!
Aether got so angry that with his strength and determination, he and Paimon becomes very powerful and unleashes a huge knockout blow with their "Light" element on the Unknown god, causing her to land 700m away from Aether and Paimon.
Unknown god: AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!
definitely sounds more like a phase 2 to me (kind of like Raiden phase 2 with slightly Major-sounding instruments and notes mixed in) where it sounds like the traveler is on pace to win.
it also vaguely hints that the unknown god is not a 100% pure villain.
my theory is that she is a creation of the primordial one, not a descender nor the true final boss. if we combine this with Paimon being the primordial one, and adding a bit of logic, we have that the heavenly principles were altered to more suit the 2nd descender.
Welcome back! This one was truly befitting of the last boss of Genshin, starting off with despair and building up to hope at 1:54, with us (hoping) beating the unknown god at the end.

Yeah I agree with you, I tried to make a very dramatic cinematic battle theme so it’s more to like showing that this might be the final battle we have to fight in Genshin. It’s not technically 100% the norm when it comes to battle theme composition but I hope the message was conveyed hahah

I really like this song, and i could imagine this gein g in the actual game. One thing that bothers me a bit is that this sounds pretty "Worldly" I guess, like its not really what i imagine hearing while fighting a "not worldly" being, but maybe thats just my perspective. I guess if you interpret this as the song completing the journey through teyvat, this defenitely fits very well. Anyways, i reall like your interpretation of it :D

This piece is painfully generic which is a real shame because I've really enjoyed your previous boss themes for charcters we know very little about such as Focalor or The Tsaritsa or The Harbingers, with those while there wasn't a lot of information to convey you managed to convey everything we did know about them masterfully but with this it feels as if you maybe you should've leaned more into the Alien/Otherworldly vibe because her being from another world is literally the only thing we know about her.
Thank you for your critics, I appreciate it. Apologies that you weren’t fully satisfied with the theme, I said it in my comment as well that this theme was really challenging for me as there weren’t really any official materials I can use that is 100% her. While for the Tsaritsa or Focalors it’s relatively simpler since I can use each regions themes and some existing lores that Genshin has put out. The personalities of the character really helped me to create the themes but I have no idea how the Unknown God personality is like which is really challenging for me hahah. That being said I hope you can still enjoy the theme though!
Oh don't get me wrong I fully understand how difficult it must’ve been, the fact that you were able to come up with something even somewhat decent is a testament to your talent and I do still like the theme just not as "The Unknown Gods Theme".

It might be me but, while this is not bad, I feel like her theme should actually be pretty menacing
Instead of feeling like you're having an epic bout with a strong opponent, you should feel like you're struggling to survive against a monster that goes beyond your comprehension: your objective is not to just win, but to survive, as what you're facing is the apocalypse itself
Considering this is a god we're talking about, "Merkabah II" from Shin Megami Tensei IV could be a good inspiration. They use organs to resemble "holiness", but in a way that makes you feel uneasy, as you're actually fighting some kind of demon instead
Always from the SMT franchise, there is "To Become God's enemy". It's pretty imposing, mainly because you're fighting Yhvh himself
Lastly, there's "Kings", from Project Wingman. This track nails the apocalyptic feeling just fine, and it's also used in a "duel", so it should fit pretty well
All of these tracks could be a good inspiration for an unknown god theme
Thank you for giving your opinion and feedbacks, Rulco. For me, fan made theme is a way to express my creative decision and how I would imagine a situation that haven’t existed yet in game. Of course, since it isn’t official there will be different opinions and turned out we have different thoughts on this theme. However, I totally respect your opinion and also agreed that Merkabah II could be a really good inspiration! So thank you for giving your opinion on how her theme would sound like!
