Me had like the Tour very, the highway and Landscape is very amazing.
Thank you for the comment!
A great motorway, drove it a few times, I think the first time in 2004, when it was just 1 lane/direction in the mountainous area around Packsattel. Very nice to see it again, it's been a while since the last time I've been there.
Thank you for the comment! That must have been a totally different experience.
A mountain is bellissimo!!
So glad I'm an armchair traveler. That's expensive for me, but then, I don't live in Europe either. lol!!! Great drive and I loved the clouds and how they would rain here and there, leaving spots hot and dry in other places. Hoping you have a very wonderful week. I now have to go and try to shovel about 10 inches (25 cm) of snow out of my doorway so I can get to my car.
Wow, I think I've never seen such an amount of snow, even in the mountains. Hope you're all safe and springtime comes quick. Thanks for your comment and appreciation!
SUBSCRIBED with big pleasure!
Ah, short distance driving: Lille to Lens, Nice to Toulon, Graz to Klagenfurt, and Salzburg to Innsbruck are my favourite ones.
That's quite a long distance to me! I'm used to suburban driving. Thanks for the comment!
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme well, "short distance driving", as far as "intercity driving" is concerned; as far as preferences, I prefer to live in the city, and use the public transportation!
Does the 92,50 euro vignette covers roads in north Italy too? If I want to go to Grado beach, for instance, what do I have to pay to use roads and high-ways in both countries? Thanks!
Hi, the Austrian vignette does only cover Austrian roads. In Italy most motorways (autostrade) are tolled.
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this answer!
Great video! How much did you pay the vignette? What are vignette options besides the €92.50 (111.47 USD) yearly vignette mentioned in the video (in USD)?
Hi, I think you got the conversion wrong. 92,50 euro is 111,47 USD. Other options are the 10-day vignette (9,50 euro or 11,45 USD) and the 2-month vignette (27,80 euro or 33,50 USD).
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme Oops my bad. Corrected.
1200 °C? Did part of the tunnel melt at that temperature? Basaltic lavas are 1200 °C btw.
A2 feels like A-55 when it comes to being a "super 2 highway" before being widened south of Drummondville, and probably looked like what A-50 currently looks like for most of its lenght.
Here's an article with pictures of the fire: www.salzburg24.at/news/salzburg/tauerntunnel-brandkatastrophe-von-1999-jaehrt-sich-zum-20-mal-70973758
As far as I know, a section of A2 did not open as a super-two highway, but as a four-lane, single-carriageway road. Tunnels were just 2-lane, though.
Do you think the Autobahn in the south of Austria (Carinthia) are less qualitative than those around Vienna? Comparing them to Germany, are they inferior too?
Hi, Austrian Autobahnen can be more winding than German ones because Austria is a very mountainous country. Flatter Autobahnen such as A1 are comparable to German motorways. And I think urban motorways in Vienna are much like motorways in other European cities :)
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme I appreciate the quick answer, thanks!
What is the maxinum and average speed for this Autobahn?
Hi, the maximum speed limit is 130 km/h but in some stretches is 100.
Wolfsberg😍
