I’m presently a LPN for 2 years, now working on my RN with student loans. I started as a HHA, CNA, then LPN. It’s the choices that people make. People need to understand that you don’t need to have what the Jones have and we need to live like the other nurses live. I work at an ALF and I see the caretakers purchase lunch and drink Starbucks every day and then they complain they have no money and picking up every shift available. I told them they need to learn the value of money to appreciate money. I personally don’t care who call me cheap but I’m not spending my money on certain things and I’m not buying expensive stuff just to brag that I have it and that’s what I’m seeing a lot of. I’m the only one working in my household and I only work 15 hrs a week due to school and I’m not struggling. I calculate every penny I spend. My husband and I going out is going to WAWA and sitting outside where I don’t have to overpay for food & tip. The problem with most nurses is they want to brag with their coworkers. Just my thoughts. Nurses can make money in nursing!! MONEY MANAGEMENT IS THE KEY!!
I am watching this as an LPN student who has been in school for 7 months with 8 more months to go. My plan is to pay off my car and buy a house. Then I would like to start investing after I get those goals done. I think the first mistake new grads do is go out and splurge, especially on luxury vehicles. I see so many seasoned nurses talk about it.
As usual…YOU ARE ON POINT!!! I agree that no schools are truly invested in teaching us how to live financially free. We are trained to be employees and work until the day we die…as you said!!! Please keep this knowledge coming my brother!!!
It’s not up to the school to teach you financial stability. It’s learned through experience and practice and sick and tired of being broke. The schools can teach us but people won’t listen because America is a country or materialistic people that enjoy consumerism.
Phenomenal video! Thank you for consistently sharing such valuable insights, brother. I’m 26 and on track to graduate from my ABSN program in 2026. Your point about having a solid game plan for success in nursing really resonates with me. I served six years in the Navy, which has been a blessing-it allowed me to pursue my education debt-free while supporting myself. Through this journey, I’ve learned the importance of managing money wisely. As you said, learning how to manage money before you start making it is crucial for long-term success. I felt called by God to pursue nursing, and I’m drawn to the field not only because of the opportunity to serve others but also for the stability it provides. My plan is to pay off my existing debt within the first two years of working as a nurse, and from there, focus on saving and making meaningful investments. Looking ahead, my goal is to transition from bedside nursing within 3-4 years and specialize in Nursing Informatics, where I can combine my passion for healthcare and technology. Stay blessed, and thank you again for the wisdom you share. It’s truly appreciated, Sir! 🙏
love your vids bro. we have the same mindset. im tuned in every week. currently 25 with no kids and very little bills, in LPN school now and graduating in july. living below my means and working 60 hours a week is my goal and investing that into property and assets. you motivated me to stay on the right path!
Good Morning 💙 You can have a work-life balance. I work on the healthcare administration side, and you have to make a plan and Self-Care so important ❤ Love your channel 😊
I’m commenting before finishing the video, reading the comments it sounds like you make great content and people enjoy hearing from you. I’m not interested in nursing exactly but I did obtain the CNA license in October and am beginning nursing school in 2025 due to family pressure. I will be looking more at your videos! And it sounds like you have built a great community.
You scared me with the title lol thought you were thinking of switching careers….. I believe you have to sacrifice 3-5 years to be able to live a smooth lifestyle from there on. Work life balance is key
They never taught us about the work-life balance, BUT they always told us about debt. In school, everybody wanted that refund check after they took out tuition. That's where it started for a lot of us. If we listened when they told us to take only what we needed and to pay some of it off WHILE in school...a lot of us would not be in debt. It's also very easy to work full-time and go to school full-time...even part-time IF you don't have kids. Sorry, I said it. Not talking to those who have partners working and they paying all the bills.
What’s good CJ! Hope you and DeeDee are doing well..miss the lives but I know you getting it done!! But yup..the Izim is you gotta have an exit plan or you will be living to work and that’s not the move!
I don’t think its a good idea to film with computers in the background, or when people can clearly see you’re at work. Ex, walking in the hallways etc. stand in front of a blank wall. I love and watch all your vids ❤ i miss the long form car drive videos 😂❤

You are so right. That's why I encourage nurses to maximize their earning potential and invest in real estate or other lucrative business ventures
