Talking with the Sieg family after the 2023 Door Dash 250 at Sonoma (AUDIO ONLY)

- On June 10, 2023, after the Door Dash 250 XFINITY Series race at Sears Point, won by Aric Almirola in a RSS Racing entry, I caught up with Ryan and Kyle Sieg as they were loading up Ryan's No. 39 in the garage. As I did, both introduced me to their parents, who talked about Almirola's win and their plans going forward.
Glad to see them finally winning, we need more teams like them

I've been cheering for the sieg family for years, too bad it's not their car, but a win is a win
So happy not for RSS winning but the 28 and ford. So need the 28 back in cup hell we have the 3,7,8,21,24,43 even 48 why can’t we have the 28 back.
Being a Ford guy and a guy who likes to cheer for the underdogs, I always like cheering for Ryan Seig and I’ve been waiting for him to win a race for quite some time now. Then you have Aric, who is my favorite driver in NASCAR, who I was not expecting much of anything from because, let’s face it, his record on road courses is uh…lousy. And then Aric qualifies 4th in that RSS car, ran up front all day, got the lead thanks to a little good luck, and managed to hold off Larson long enough for Kyle to get frustrated and make a mistake. I was so unbelievably excited to see my favorite driver win, it didn’t even occur to me that it was the first win ever for RSS, and that makes it even cooler!
Wish we could have gotten a race-win T-shirt…
Several people commented after the win that the car Aric ran was not an RSS car at all and was a SHR car & crew. Aric even said that in an interview. Yet clearly you spoke to the owners and it sounded like it's their car.

just pointing out the was NOT an rss sticker on it. the 07 and 28 wins aren't technically first time winners, imo.
I know - I took the photo of the No. 98 on the crossmember of the No. 28. I think you can tell through this interview that they're still looking to get one of their other cars or drivers into victory lane.
@@LASTCARonBROCK if they would have switched to JRM/HMS support instead of Ford, they would have MULTIPLE wins. it wasn't Chevy that was the issue for them. it was the ECR and RCR engines and support. I'm also a diehard Chevy guy so of course I'd say that.
