I usually shower at night just because I workout in the evenings. This video was definitely helpful. I usually use hot water in the morning but definitely gonna try the cold water approach. Thanks Dan!
Great content 👌. I shower in the evening after my gym workout. I do wash my beard in the shower and then oil and butter and balm it. Sometimes I use heat it just depends on how I'm feeling.
I shower after work due to getting sweatty and dirty at the construction site so it just feels better to shower when I get home instead of in the morning. This was my first video of yours and I gotta say that this is probably my new favorite beard channel allready
If I'm not bathing in the morning (in the week I will do so before work, but not always at the weekend when I may bath in the afternoon/evening)...I go with the dunking of the beard in a full sink/basin. Quick and simple...then groom as normal.
I use a microfiber drying towel to dry my beard after I shower. I picked it up from Walmart in the automotive section for $6.00. It is large, lint free and much softer than your average bath towel. It does an excellent job of absorbing the excess water in my beard!
Awesome video bro!I shower at night because I am a commercial plumber and I get kind of nasty at work. I don't shower in the morning because I don't have time and I don't want to wake my wife and kid up at 5:00 in the morning. I have been doing that exact routine plus beard balm at the end for a while now and it works awesome.
I’m a no shower in the morning person. At my old job I was up at 1 or 2 am for work, and didn’t like to set my alarm even earlier to shower. Plus I was always sweaty and dirty after work so I would shower at night. But your routine is pretty much what I do and it works well. Keep up the great work and can’t wait to see the studio in action!
I shower at night. Learned by my father's example; perhaps to finish off the day and prepare to start with as little time and routine as possible. But that would be guessing. Morning routine and tips: Eye-Doctor-recommended eyelid wash with either Baby Shampoo or Tea Tree Shampoo (that is a wake-up) and brush teeth. Get dressed and breakfast if needed. My curly beard taught me detangling brushes and combs are illusory. Co-wash or condition the night before, along with beard oil and butter or balm and fine-tooth combing. In the morning an easy pass with a fine-tooth comb is all it needs. I like your five-minute pause after beard oil and will try it.
I normally shower at night and my routine in morning is brush, oil, brush and done! But im blue collar worker instead of white collar, so no need for perfection.
Another great tip video. I prefer taking a shower at night. I took one at night when I was in the Navy because I was always dirty and covered in whatever. It also helps me unwind and relax. I've watched a bunch of your videos about different routines and such. I took a few tips from one, couple from another and some from another. Putting those together works for me. Then you put this out and it's basically what I "edited" together from those other videos. If that makes any sense. Thank you for what you do and keep it up. Can't wait for the new studio reveal this weekend.

Another great topic. This is my morning routine. I use a hair dryer not the heated brush. I shower at night because I dont like going to bed "dirty". I shower after I get home from work too, but that is at 2:00pm (this is when I clean my beard and use the cowash), so feel like I need another one before bed.
Exactly how I style my beard in the morning. No heat brush for me. I like taking my showers at night because I got so much dirty work to do after my desk job and I wake up too early.

I shower at the end of day because I do very physically demanding work and I workout in the evenings. I would have to shower twice a day if I showered in the mornings cuz I’m not about to sleep all gross. This is definitely a perfect video for me. Thanks!
I have to shower at night because I have to be clean before I get in bed, otherwise I won't sleep well. But, I've developed a routine that works for me and my 7 month beard. When I shower, I rinse my beard lightly with just water. I pat it mostly dry then apply my oil. I use a little bit more than normal and comb it in thoroughly with Beard Octane ox horn comb (thanks Dan C for that awesome recommendation!) The next morning I wash my face but not my beard. My beard gets just slightly damp though. Run the ox horn through to get any bedbeard tangles out. Last, put some medium/firm balm in and style it just right. Takes about 10-15 minutes tops. Boom, out the door!!
This is me!! I enjoy relaxing showers at night and I wake up at 3am for work so the longer I can sleep the better! Thanks for the awesome info DanC! Can’t wait for the new studio! Keep it up!
This was great to watch, i keep a goatee, and lately have been noticing split ends, I’m going to start doing this right now. Thanks for the easy to digest info!
I get up for work around 3:05 in the morning to get ready for work. I work in a foundry so I get dirty n so does my beard. So I shower when I get home from work. Around 400 pm .
I shower at night so video is great for me. I'm up at 4 or 5am for work everyday. So hair dryer isn't an option unfortunately. I might pick up a heated brush. You know from your recent visit down here in Florida that the humidity is no joke. Sometimes you just do your best and rock a more natural look.
Awesome video as always! That’s what you want to do, plain and simple! For me, I just can’t shower super early in the morning. So I’m always showering at night before bed. When I wake up, and am doing my morning routine, it’s basically the exact same. Hitting that beard with water, combing it out and drying gently with a towel. I figure out what oil I want to use for the day and apply it. After 5min or so, I’m hitting it with a balm or butter (depending on what the agenda is for the day, unless I have meetings or really want to look business like, I’m using butter) and using the boars brush. I like a more natural look and typically only use heat once or twice a week. I’m lucky in the fact that even when the beard is really long, with just a comb and brush I can get it to look the way I want. On those rough days, I’ll hit it with the kuschelbar or round brush and blow dryer.
I usually always shower in the mornings because it helps to wake me up, make me more alert, and kick start my day. Every once I'm a while though if it's a really lazy day I won't shower until the evening so it's nice to get you're take on a non shower routine in the morning 👊
I need to shower after work to get the sweat and funk off from the day ...I pretty much do what you just said most mornings ...I have a removable shower head that makes getting my bead good and wet very easy
I shower at night because I drive a redi mix truck n am dirty n sweating at night. I need shower to feel clean n ready for sleep. N thanks for all your videos. N this one helps alot thanks.
I always shower at night so not to sleep in a dirty bed and I also do my beard routine and night straighten oil wait 5 and balm then morning sometimes I may need to use blow dryer or the straight ing brush then oil and balm boom good to go great video Dan can't wait to see the studio
Usually shower at night with co Wash , or if that day falls on wash and co wash. Morning i usually dont shower so this video does help me for the morning without shower. Thanks Dan
In month 5 of my attempt at a Yeard. And this video helps a lot. Thanks!!! I get waves on my sides. My morning routine was always wet beard, comb, dry a little. Add oil and comb. Wait and I add some butter. It has a little bees wax in it. Helps style it and I brush. Will add the hair dryer to mix. My wife has a hot tools dryer that has the cold shot function. Might look into a heat brush also.
I shower and condition my beard at night because I sleep better clean and it cools me down. Towel dry and use butter or jelly. In the morning, I wet down my hair and beard with a removable shower head over the bathtub and towel dry. I comb in beard oil and let it soak in while I get dressed, do my hair and brush my teeth. Apply beard balm and finish it with a brush. Shape it and matt down the strays with my hands.
Wish I could shower in the morning it would probably help me wake up. But, I feel I’ll wake my family up running the shower and I’d have to get up at 3 instead of 3:30 lol We get so dirty at work we shower and change uniforms before we leave. Problem with that is I have to keep special beard products at work (shampoo/conditioner/oil/comb) and I work shift work so my schedule is all messed up. Sometimes I shower at work sometimes at home sometimes in the morning when I get off sometimes in the evening when I get off. Even when I’m off on my 8 days off I still shower in the evening before bed and not in the morning 🤷🏻♂️ lol okay enough rambling. Thanks for this video Dan. I gotta start using a blow dryer to lay my beard down!
Just found your channel and have watched quite a few vids. All sorts of great info!! Not sure how many followers you have in Japan, but you have at least one! While I’ve grown my beard many times over the years, I’ve never gone more than a couple of months. I’m right at month 3 now and your vids (along with products sent over by my brother) are helping me hopefully grow a better beard. On showering at night, here in Japan, this is normal. Japanese believe it’s bad to go to bed with the day’s sweat and nasty on you. When I’m at home here, I’m maybe 70% shower at night (still American and like my morning showers more 😅). When visiting the in-laws, I usually shower every night to be respectful. So, yeah, this video is very helpful 🤘
@@DanCBearded When things get a little less crazy, I do recommend coming over. Lots of cool stuff over here (especially for a history teacher 😉). As I’m into cars and landscape photography, it’s paradise. I work in the automotive industry, so I’ve been to your neck of the woods many times (probably would have moved up there, too, if I hadn’t taken the job I’m at now). If you ever want some good Thai curry, there’s an awesome place in a little strip mall on Nine Mile in Novi. Happy New Year!
Great video. This is pretty much what I do every morning as I shower at night 99% of the time. Mainly cause I don't want to get up any earlier to shower in the morning lol.
I shower at night only. The reason being is because I get nasty at work during the day. Way to dirty to lay in bed at night. So I use this exact routine on my beard in the morning.
Great video I am a Postal Worker so I shower when get home because of sweat and out in environment all day. Dan, will using cold water in morning be enough to rinse out a nightly routine of beard butter even if it contains some wax
Thanks man I was doing similar I was doing water, towel dry, heated brush, beard butter, heated brush again then regular brush but I'm definitely going to try your why because mine wouldn't come out perfect every time
I’ve always been a night showerer, because 3am comes WAY to damn early lol This video is actually the best endorsement for a heated brush that I’ve heard so far. My typical morning routine is to oil my beard, brush my teeth, get dressed, and then brush/style my beard before I walk out the door. I’m a blue collar worker, so it jus needs to look nice, not great.
Yeah I'm like you nick I wake up between 12 and 2 am and dont want to shower that early I'm a truck driver so looking good for work is good enough cuz I get wet and dirty every night it drives me crazy but it is what it is.
I have to shower at night I work up a sweat all day and can’t stand to sleep feeling dirty and I like my extra sleep. I’ll have to try wetting my beard in the morning that’s a great tip.
I shower every day after the gym. I have to shower that’s what wakes me up then a cup of coffee. My beard gets washed daily with co wash and Sunday and Wednesday with beard wash and co wash.
Dan the man! Question, I know you have spoke in the last regarding heat brushes and the damage they can cause with continuous use. Like you said, due to people still sleeping when I am getting ready, blow drier isn’t an option. I have a heat brush with about three or four different setting of heat. Do you recommend still using the heat brush every morning but at a low setting, or just avoid using it daily in all? Thank you in advance and well wishes to you and your family!
absolutely love this intro music what is name of it? your channel has been extremely helpful as a guy just rocking a short beard diving into a medium length beard 3+ months no trim currently growing
What about for those who don’t shower daily? Oil in morning, butter at night? It’s not gross, some dermatologist recommend every other day depending on activity/dirtiness level.
@DanCBearded I've been watching your videos for a few months now, and just subscribed to your channel. Ever since I started watching your videos and have followed many of your tips I've definitely noticed a change in growth of my beard and I'm excited about the continuing results. I ment to say that I too am a native born Michigan guy. Born in Adrian. But spent most of my life in Da U.P Eh!! I'm glad to see one our local Michigan guys being so successful and helping other men with an everyday struggle. Thank you so very much!! I look forward to continuing my support of you and your awesome videos!!
I"m a morning shower guy. Need everything I can to get my old cranky butt awake (coffee by the pot too). I wonder if guys that do more physical work tend to be more PM shower guys and inside workers (teachers, office workers, etc) tend to be AM shower guys. Also, you left out balm after the styling. Envious of your awesome beard that you dont need balm thought LOL
Thinking you know everything about beard stuff? NAAH. Watch Dan C bearded videos and you'll see you missed really important things. So did I. THANK YOU for your videos Dan. It's really helpful
I HAVE to take a shower every morning...if I don’t I feel like my day is thrown off lol I’m a big creature of habit and it drives my wife nuts sometimes but morning shower is a must to start my day. I also get best styling results after a shower and cowash and butter the night before. I do also shower most evenings as well depending on how active and sweaty my day was. I co wash every morning and sometimes in evenings depending on how my beard feels. If it feels dry I may Co wash in evening but mostly just rinse with water. I do always wash my beard in evenings twice a week and never in the mornings not sure why but I get better styling results only washing in evenings so I stick with that
Dan - great tips On the weekend I don't shower in the morning, and you've outlined most of my routine I don't use heat to style my beard, and I will sometimes add a medium+ hold balm to keep my beard in place Also with the right night time routine and a good co-wash, you should have minimal tangles in the morning 👍👍
I need to have Dan do this when he wakes up because his beard is so on point when this video was made. I know when I wake up in the morning my beard is crazy scary. So I just jump in the shower. Lol that's just me
Great tips for a retired night shower beardo! I sleep better if I get the days “chores/exercise” rinsed off my body. I also suffer from allergies and it’s best to get pollens rinsed off before bed. I must say that growing a beard has significantly decreased my allergy issues and there’s research that DanC has shared about that very fact. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 ***I tried the cold water rinse this morning + 5 min oil set and it worked great. I’ve got yard work to do, so I didn’t bother with heat. I’ll try that tomorrow morning. Thanks again for great tips.
Different kinda video(sought of cleaning the brush and comb. But they ask, you answer)I do shower in the morning. Got a pretty good routine. But worth a try. More time to relax and start a “take your time” sought of method. Thanks Dan
Awesome tips there man, yeah I'm one of those night shower kind of guys also, don't know what it is but something about taking the showers at night helps me actually sleep pretty good with that nice and clean feeling. Then after the shower I always enjoy applying some butter and oil to the beard, I kinda learned a trick to get my beard to lay nice and straight, being that I work in a grocery store around food all day I have to wear a beard net and the cool thing about the nets I wear they match my hair color so it kinda naturally blends in with the beard and I'm guessing with the beard being in that net and the tension that it creates it holds the beard in place to where right after work I pull it off and the beard is nice and straight and laying pretty nicely, might do a video here on UA-cam showing my morning beard routine here soon just so others can kinda get the general idea how it works. Really looking forward to when the beard gets about another 3 to 4 inches in it just so it can begin cascading down my chest more as of now though it's hitting my collar bones in length, speaking of that man I discovered that when my beard is dry and there's no product in it those hairs at the end of my beard that lay just at the start of my collar bones boy do they make the skin itch as it tickles that area, what has helped I found was definitely getting the oil and butter in those ends and man feels so much better, like alot of new beardsmen will talk about the itchy beard phase in the beginning and man I gotta say I didn't ever have that but as its at the length it's at now and those hairs lay on the skin the area where it lays gets that itchy feel you get like right after you get a hair cut but man yeah that beard oil and butter makes all the difference and relieves that itch for sure, anywho man I enjoy all your videos Dan guys like you and Scuba man I find myself when there's nothing on the television that appeals I find myself binge watching you guys more entertaining I must say and it's cool too because I always find myself learning more and more about the beard that I never knew before. I bet theres probably people out there that probably think of a beard as just a beard and what could a person possibly learn from a beard but man for me it's always a fun adventure and definitely a learning experience that I find myself learning more and more every week. Looking forward to seeing your studio once you get it all set up, man with everything your planning to do its gonna be beautiful when it's done I bet. Well my friend sorry I typed a novel here I can talk about beards all day lol guess that's one thing nobody can't ever say is that us beardsmen aren't passionate because brother we definitely are especially when it comes to our beards, love the beard life take good care Dan, looking forward to your next video. ✌
Due to my job, I always shower at night. So this is pretty much my routine every morning except I've never used a hair dryer once, LOL, and I use balm to help tame this mane...
I read the first 20 or 30 comments for an answer, but couldn't find it. Sorry if it's a repeat. But I'm wondering, you said "Cold water is important" in the morning if no shower. Why? Why does it have to be cold water? What's the advantage? Thanks. 😊
I work in a plastic plant where the temp reaches 120 at times so when I get off I stank. I shower at night apply some butter and hit the bed. My morning routine is similar, I don't blow dry with ok results. My wife is a teacher, daughter in 1st and a 3year old son, I aint waking those demons with a blow dryer. I have looked into the heated brush, just trying to narrow it down.
Glad to see that my mourning routine was good. Why do I shower in the morning? I am a stay at home Dad and my wife is normally gone by 8 am. I am afraid if I shower when she leaves that out baby will wake up while I am in the shower.
I have to take a shower when I get home from work just because of the filth it's just not necessary to shower again in the morning. best comb and brush in my opinion is by Rocky Mountain check it out guys
Oddly enough my morning beard is the best my beard is ever I only have to brush it for 10 secs no product nothing it stays good for almost all day I’m pretty sure it’s because of the product from the previous day
Ok so for those of us who prefer a balm or butter over a oil, would the same procedure apply? I recently started using a heated brush and was still getting a lot of fly-aways, maybe the brush is the magic trick! Thanks!
@@DanCBearded Sounds good! My beard is in this WTF AM I DOING stage and I'm trying to tame it until it can get past it, without obsessively trimming stuff off( I have a bad habit of using the trimmers way too often).
Appreciate the video Dan. I do shower in the morning because my beard does not seem to look right without a shower. However ai would like to save time so I might try your method.question- What about beard balm? Do you skip this on the “no shower” day?
I'm totally geeked for you Dan c....btw this video is very helpful I've been doing it wrong 😢 I've been using warm water in the morning instead of cold ... always wondered why I always end up with curls at the end of my beard going upward drives me insane I'll try this method and see how it works for me thanks so much dan c 👍

Agreed, thanks Scott!
I shower in the morning because I like to have that nice fresh start to my day.
Same! Wakes me up
I need to shower after work to get the sweat and funk off from the day ...I pretty much do what you just said most mornings ...I have a removable shower head that makes getting my bead good and wet very easy
The removable shower heads are perfect for that!
"Heat and tension equals direction." *SOUND MATHEMATICS!*
I teach history, but that math checks out!
At 7 months into my Yeard and been doing this morning routine, works great 👍
Oh awesome!
Thanks Dan!!
Usually shower at night with co Wash , or if that day falls on wash and co wash. Morning i usually dont shower so this video does help me for the morning without shower. Thanks Dan
Glad to hear it brotha!
I highly recommend the Beard Octane oxhorn comb, Kent comb and the Bossman metal comb. They are all wonderful.
For sure! Haven't tried the metal one, but the first two are everyday use for me
@@DanCBearded me as well brother👊
Beard Octane ox horn comb has turned out to be one of the best tools I've purchased thus far! I can't thank Dan C enough for that recommendation 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
That is awesome Brock!
Oh that’s awesome, thank you the comment. I have always wanted to visit Japan!!
Haha makes sense Tim!
I shower at night only. The reason being is because I get nasty at work during the day. Way to dirty to lay in bed at night. So I use this exact routine on my beard in the morning.
I usually add beard balm too in the morning. Put it in before or after using the blow dryer
I did that when my beard was shorter and is a great step for control
A barber I know told me that he learned in hair school that heat on your beard is a No-No it damages the beard.
Barbers and hair school can be very ignorant
Good words big Dan ive been doin this 4 7year becuase i got to get to work at3 in the morning. Once again wordto the wise keep it comin.✌
Great video I am a Postal Worker so I shower when get home because of sweat and out in environment all day. Dan, will using cold water in morning be enough to rinse out a nightly routine of beard butter even if it contains some wax
Not if it contains wax, unfortunately
Thanks man I was doing similar I was doing water, towel dry, heated brush, beard butter, heated brush again then regular brush but I'm definitely going to try your why because mine wouldn't come out perfect every time
Oh for sure! If you ever use heat, follow this: oil, wait 3-5 minutes, heat, balm/butter (optional), normal comb to finish styling
Tried your recommendations I'm blown away very happy with how my beard turned out thank you so much.
Let’s gooo!
I shower at night. My wife won't let me get in bed with the days sweat and germs on me. This will be a great addition to my morning routine.
I’ve always been a night showerer, because 3am comes WAY to damn early lol
This video is actually the best endorsement for a heated brush that I’ve heard so far.
Makes sense brotha! Let me know if you try anything from this video 👊
You apply oil, then brush. Doesn't brushing ur teeth remove some of the oil u just applied?
Morning routine... wet, oil, Shea butter, cool dry the sideburns , boar bristle brush , balm and gently detangler brush entire beard .
I have to shower at night I work up a sweat all day and can’t stand to sleep feeling dirty and I like my extra sleep. I’ll have to try wetting my beard in the morning that’s a great tip.
Awesome, thanks John!
I shower every day after the gym. I have to shower that’s what wakes me up then a cup of coffee. My beard gets washed daily with co wash and Sunday and Wednesday with beard wash and co wash.
Spot on!
Dan the man! Question,
I know you have spoke in the last regarding heat brushes and the damage they can cause with continuous use.
Oh totally fine tk use on a daily basis, if you use it correctly. I recently put out a video on proper ways to use heat. Make sure to check that out
@@DanCBearded thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼
absolutely love this intro music what is name of it? your channel has been extremely helpful as a guy just rocking a short beard diving into a medium length beard 3+ months no trim currently growing
It’s just a copyright free song from the UA-cam library, I have no idea the name lol sorry!
And glad to hear man 🤝
Being new to the beard life, i don't shower in the morning because i get pretty dirty during the day. This was great info, thanks Dan!!👊
Good stuff on the boars brush. I hadnt heard that before.
Thanks!
What about for those who don’t shower daily? Oil in morning, butter at night? It’s not gross, some dermatologist recommend every other day depending on activity/dirtiness level.
I'm definitely going to use this method more when I'm in more of a rush thank Dan C!!
Oh awesome!
@blackheartedreject91 I really appreciate that!
i like night showering so i can hit my bed clean! gonna try this out. morning beard has been driving my crazy now that i'm getting length.
Keep me posted Jacob!
Home Run Dan! Thanks again. ☘
You bet!
I think you hit it spot on, if you are dirty and sweaty in the day you need a PM shower
Thinking you know everything about beard stuff?
NAAH.
Watch Dan C bearded videos and you'll see you missed really important things.
So did I.
THANK YOU for your videos Dan. It's really helpful
I appreciate that 🤝
I HAVE to take a shower every morning...if I don’t I feel like my day is thrown off lol I’m a big creature of habit and it drives my wife nuts sometimes but morning shower is a must to start my day. I do always wash my beard in evenings twice a week and never in the mornings not sure why but I get better styling results only washing in evenings so I stick with that
Thanks Ryan!
I have a removable shower head i use in the morning
That is super useful!
Imma come to your house to wash my beard. I have to stick my head in the sink. Lol
Surprised you didn’t mention using beard balm. I’m sure I could add beard balm after I do the heat/tension step and then boar brush the product down!
For sure! I just have personally ditched balm
Dan C Bearded interesting! So you just use oil and butter? Why did you stop using balm?
Dan - great tips
On the weekend I don't shower in the morning, and you've outlined most of my routine
I don't use heat to style my beard, and I will sometimes add a medium+ hold balm to keep my beard in place
Also with the right night time routine and a good co-wash, you should have minimal tangles in the morning 👍👍
For sure! Co-wash and butter at night is wonderful in the morning
Great video buddy yes I do shower in the morning it starts my day out right great information can't wait to see the studio. 👊👊👊
Morning shower does wake me up, I love that!
Great tips! Every here and there I'm in this situation. No balm in this routine? I was expecting to hear you say to add balm at the end.
I rarely wear balm these days, only when I am testing out products. Oil is working well!
I need to have Dan do this when he wakes up because his beard is so on point when this video was made. I know when I wake up in the morning my beard is crazy scary. So I just jump in the shower. Lol that's just me
Haha thanks brotha!
You're not the only one! I wake up looking like "Planet of the Apes!"
Didn’t think of cold water cuz I shower with warm. I shower at night. I’ll try the cold water
It will really help!
I shower in the morning because I’m usually dirty and smell when I come home from work so I like to get cleaned up ASAP!
***I tried the cold water rinse this morning + 5 min oil set and it worked great. I’ve got yard work to do, so I didn’t bother with heat. I’ll try that tomorrow morning. Thanks again for great tips.
Man what an awesome comment with experiences there, thank you Nico!
What video is this with the allergy? I have a problem every spring with the pollens from all the trees and flowers blooming.
Different kinda video(sought of cleaning the brush and comb. But they ask, you answer)I do shower in the morning. Got a pretty good routine. But worth a try. More time to relax and start a “take your time” sought of method. Thanks Dan
Thanks Butch!
Awesome video Dan. Always look forward to watching your videos when they come out. Keep it up man🤙
That is great to hear, thank you!
another great, informative video Dan. Especially for the man with the sleeping family !
Thanks buddy!!
Man I love it Tony, keep the novels and the experiences coming!
Due to my job, I always shower at night. So this is pretty much my routine every morning except I've never used a hair dryer once, LOL, and I use balm to help tame this mane...
Awesome brotha!
Looking sharp as always Dan C !
Haha. Step by step what I do. Make sure you brush your teeth first. Shower at night to help with allergies.
All true!
As always spot on🤙 but what else from the Trusted Teacher😂🤣😳
Thank you Mike!! I really appreciate that
I read the first 20 or 30 comments for an answer, but couldn't find it. Sorry if it's a repeat. But I'm wondering, you said "Cold water is important" in the morning if no shower. Why? Why does it have to be cold water? What's the advantage? Thanks. 😊
This should be perfect! ua-cam.com/video/Y9wWlAQFu6A/v-deo.html
@@DanCBearded Alright, cold water it is. 🥶 Thanks.
Haha keep them asleep!
I shower 2x a day but not when I wake up... I work 3rd shift, shower before bed and then shower again later in the day after the gym...
Rinse before bed. Wash after the gym.
This was an awesome video and I was wondering if I should add beard balm to that routine or no?
Absolutely! Just a wrap so preference thing. Balm would be the last step to lock in the moisture
Great Dan, always great 👍 THANKS
Thank you!
Oddly enough my morning beard is the best my beard is ever I only have to brush it for 10 secs no product nothing it stays good for almost all day I’m pretty sure it’s because of the product from the previous day
That is awesome!
Ok so for those of us who prefer a balm or butter over a oil, would the same procedure apply? I recently started using a heated brush and was still getting a lot of fly-aways, maybe the brush is the magic trick! Thanks!
Yup! I highlyyy recommend using an oil first. Then you can finish with a balm or butter.
@@DanCBearded Sounds good! My beard is in this WTF AM I DOING stage and I'm trying to tame it until it can get past it, without obsessively trimming stuff off( I have a bad habit of using the trimmers way too often).
Man I’m not sure what type of witchcraft you created here - but damn IT WORKED AWESOME. Thanks for saving my sanity.
haha that awesome!!
I always shower at night because I gotta get up early and want my extra sleep lol
I hope something from this video helped!
It did I’ve been wetting my beard in the morning ever since you made this video and it’s made a huge difference!!!
@@loganweirich1928 dude I love hearing that! Let people know 👊
Appreciate the video Dan. I do shower in the morning because my beard does not seem to look right without a shower. However ai would like to save time so I might try your method.question- What about beard balm? Do you skip this on the “no shower” day?
I rarely wear balm anymore, just when I am testing products. You would still use balm the same way if you do if you showered
