Thanks, I just broke the front handle mount off of my CS355T, (my fault) I need to replace the engine cover. This showed me what I need to do. Ordered the part. Hope I can do it with no issues
Probably already fixed it, but in case this helps anyone else. I broke the brake handle mount (left side) on my 355t, and would have had to replace the whole engine cover if i was just buying parts. What worked for me was buying nylon spacers from home depot. After grinding out the broken plastic stud so I had a flush bottom and an outside circle I put epoxy over the area, and put a nylon spacer that I had lathed to the inside dimension of the brake handle. The outside dimension fit the mount well. I don't have a lathe, so i clamped a 1/4 in drill bit to my work bench, slipped the 1/4 id spacer on it, then put a clamp on the drill bit to keep the spacer from running off. Once that was set up i used a carving bit on my dremel and rotated the spacer against it.
Hey I know you posted your comment 8 months ago, but how did you make out? I just busted the handle mount off my 355t and have the pqrt ordered. Not looking forward to taking it all apart though
@@eskimomonkey2 It was easy, printed the parts illustration, set up a table in the garage and took it apart. Had the parts laid out for easy reassemble. There is a hidden o-ring in the oiler that I almost missed, but it went back together fine and I have used it a lot since then. I am careful not to yank on it if I go get it pinched.
I dunno Jer, there's an old saying about not wanting to take your stuff to a clean shop 'cause they ain't doin' any work there. You boyz 'r gettin' work done☺ Yer a good guy!
Lovin the Echo. Hey Bell Hopper what's your opinion on the build quality of Echo? A few channels/ builders say top notch. You see a lot of brands and ages of saws to compare.
I mean don't get me wrong, I don't think you're doing it correctly unless you have extra parts at the end of the job. 😉 Sometimes I think little fairies put extra pieces in the parts box, that don't even belong just so I feel better at the end. Lol
Shop is completely covered in stuff but he somehow keeps track of the tiniest parts? I would walk up and lose the whole chainsaw.

Nice, I've got two cs-300t thinking about sending one your way. Love all my Echo saws. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
Echo makes great pro products. Love my 355t use it on large logs & rips
Nice tear down buddy! Keep cranking out these awesome videos! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What would 2:31 be a estimate on a cs-355t echo that broke the top mount on tank an took apart carb handle to fix or replace
Could you make a video on the assembly?
I really would like to see the parts you pull out the trouble is the camera has more of you than the saw.
So you film videos with your tv remote
