I love this binding, I used it for my Halloween Mini's. All the Mom's in the family absolutely loved them and they are still being talked about. One of the easiest bindings I have seen. TFS, can't wait to see part 2...Blessings...Bobbie

Wow! Thank you for doing this tutorial series! I've tried to do the stack the deck system twice and both times were spectacular messes. This system is way easier, for me anyway. Your instruction is so clear and precise, so there's never any doubt what the result should be and how to get there. I'm definitely a follower for as long as you choose to share your creativity. BTW: I hope this doesn't embarrass you......you have such pretty hands! I watch UA-cam (probably more than I should LOL) and of course see many types of hands during demonstrations, so it's hard not to make note of those amazing tools God gave to us and I think yours are very photogenic!

I was all around looking for part 2 before I realized how "hot off the press" this was! Yea! I'm in at the beginning!
I've made a lot of different minis, but never have seen this binding. I'm enthralled, and can't wait to see the rest of the week's programs unfold. Did I say, I can't wait? I'm already checking this morning to see if you've got the next one up! Thanks!

I watched this series over the weekend and made my first mini album while walking through each part so I could follow along. It was so fun!! I think you should start a place/page called "Hey, Maymay, I made it!" so we can share with you what your tutorials have taught other crafters. :) Thanks for sharing your skills.

Have never used this binding system before and I love it.......it is easy and with the duct tape it is so sturdy. Instead of using a pencil and ruler to mark the lines to cut after putting the duck tape on the back of the paper strip I used my score board to make the lines. Didn't have to worry about cutting the paper because the duck tape supported it, Made it really simple and insured straight lines, Can't wait until tomorrow.

It seems like the original video I found of this binding she scored it. It is really hard to understand the system on camera if I don't do pencil lines. I am so glad your enjoying it!

Well that was just a wealth of new goodies! I have not seen that binding system and it looks very neat and definitely reinforced! Lol! I have had issues in the past with the hidden hinge binding with pages not all being straight. I think this system would clear that up. I am anxious to try it. Also I have ordered that glue and the tip also. Thanks for all the great info!

I like the idea of this binding and you do such a great job of explaining it. The tip on your pin for your adhesive is great and be sure to use a stainless steel pin as the other pins rust and ruin your glue. I like the idea of making it stronger as you want it to be sturdy. I probably would use the Kraft tex Kraft Paper Fabric with the Beacon Fabri-Fix adhesive instead of the duct tape as over time the duct tape dries up and turns to a messy powder (I've had it do that on boxes.) I'll have to get some of these envelopes to try this envelope album. Look forward to your Part Two. Great job.

I've watched all 11 twice, plus some. making an album now, using some of your ideas, although not the slot binding because I like Tyvek. I use Duck tape for the binding on the outside, however. Paper seems to eventually tear or fray. Hope you understand what I mean?.

I have wanted to make an album for a while now. This is the perfect plan for it. Am having difficulty finding videos after #8. What should I be looking for in UA-cam? Or is there another way to find them in a bunch.
I plan to do this with my great grand daughter this summer when she comes for a visit. She has visited every summer since she was 7, she is now 17 and we do something different every year.
I just love what you have done, the album is beautiful.

    Hello MaymayMadeIt
I don't know if this is what you were talking about in the video when you mentioned packing but another adhesive you could use if you don't have duct tape is packing or shipping tape

  • @oheck5570
    @oheck5570 9 років тому

Amy, if you don't pull your duct tape so tight it will lay flatter when you lay it down and you won't get wrinkles in it. Hope this helps.

Well I watched this series in its entirety and I loved the finished album!! However, I was so excited to make one in kraft and I guess maybe the envelopes are to heavy!! It's such an easy peasy binding system but I'm second guessing myself!! 😤😢. I'm an experienced paper crafter but I'm gonna stick it out to the end and see what happens!! After all it's just paper ain't it?! Lol. Love all your tutorials and creativity!!!

Hi Maymay! I was following Faithful Designs by Christy and she makes the pages with the cards, then the pockets and such with the envelopes. This is the first time I see this binding. Wouldn't it make it even if you put 2 signatures from the left and the 2 others ones from the right? Or it doesn't matter in this case? Just checking because it doesn't look symmetrical.

+trish k hi Trish, this is a very old video where I had just started using Art Glitter Glue and actually, when I made this video you couldn't purchase just a replacement tip. The video that I have posted on my product page in my store explains all the products in detail including the tips. When you go the the product in my store the video pops up and I have in large print "please watch the video before purchasing". I do my best to always explain my products to my customers. Did you order from me? If so you probably got enough loyalty points to be able to go back and pick up the replacement top for your bottle and only be out of pocket a little bit over the cost and shipping. Thanks!
