Once a van lifer /nomad/traveller....it never leaves the system. It is hard to pin one self down in one place and remain grounded. So aleast you know for sure your future is freedom in van life. All the best and always do what makes you happy.
I’ve been saying that for years. Everyone that didn’t follow along all these years I always was like 🤷🏻♂️ but I get others point of view. I hope by now, those that have followed me a while know not to expect anything next because even I don’t know
Sure doesn’t. I was living in my car traveling the whole of South America for 2.5 years. Mom got sick and needed help then went on hospice so I was with her living and caring for her for 2 years. When she died she left me her house. Covid happened and lockdowns. When that mess ended signed up with a realtor to rent the house out , bought a van and took off. That was 2.5 years ago. I can’t stay put now and I can’t handle feeling closed up in a house. I need to see the sunrise and sunset and the stars
I don’t know about everyone else but I’ve been waiting for this series. Looking forward following you along this journey. Wishing you nothing but happiness and success. Good luck my friend
At the beginning of your video I thought for sure this was a secondary van that they were going to use for shows and playing a prank on you having your van complete and right down the row somewhere. 😊❤
Honestly I love the creativity that is Stolp. He is amazing at what he does NO QUESTION! But I have to ask sir, you MUST do more than UA-cam to afford all the extremely pricey things that you buy. The tiny home, the land in Maine, ALL the vans, THIS van. Seriously please share lol
There’s no secret because I honestly don’t have a lot of money. First 2 vans I financed and paid for the builds cash, obviously saved a lot doing it myself. 3rd van was not expensive at all. This van I don’t own and they are allowing me to use it and take to shows, they get free marketing from me living in it and I get a van to travel/live in. The tiny home was done with loans and savings. I bet EVERYONE would be shocked if I said what I make per year mostly because it’s low compared to many others on YT. I know how to stretch a dollar I suppose. I wish I had a better answer
@@JarrodTocci no no that’s a fantastic answer because it’s the honest answer! I appreciate it genuinely. I think I’m more impressed that you’ve managed to make all these different things work while having admittedly very low funds. I love the new van, but you needed to build in a lighting option for vlogging. To turn on stronger lights so we can see you and your guests. It's too dark. :)
I don’t know if this would work for the Maxxair fans but, when we need to paint plastic, we rub on some acetate to rough up the plastic and then paint seems to adhere well.
It's got some cool design features, like the lighting, but tbh, I'm kind of over this standard layout. Obviously it works for you though, which is all that matters. I wish you great adventures, Jarod!
As you know I’ve lived in a few different layouts. I think everyone has preferences but for my lifestyle it works. Also why most companies have 3-4 different layouts
Jarrod always love the videos been watching a long time . What made you pick Sandy vans ? It is a nice van I thought you would go back to oregon and get Mark to build one . Maybe its just closer to where you want to be ? Love the van just curious. Also is it easy to access the fan screen for cleaning? Nice to see you back in a van :) Take care .

It takes 2 weeks to get the convoy from Canada to Fort Worth, then 2 weeks just to get to Tx coast from FTW. Once the loads are securely in ship area, I try to get a long load, or connects to pay my trip back to Canada. Living full time in escort vehicle with 3 dogs, all my safety equipment and communications equipment is a art. My old 70's Coleman stove still does the cooking wether we are in a ice storm or the coast. A cassette potty tucked under the bed still works too. I guess the only reall luxury I splurge on is a very good mattress so wherever we stop, for those few hours, we get charged up to start the rodeo again. The best tires you can buy, the best mattress and the best cb are what I focus on. I was averaging so many miles I was changing oil at east once a month, usually 2. The military is super controlling of the route, loads so we parked some weird places and they have fuelers that keep us full. I just got my next vehicle ( I usual run so many miles I have to replace them every year or so) and it was stolen with all my equipment, my life gone. The high pole is a crazy risky way to make a living, but, DARNED IF IT DOESNT PAY FOR THE VAN,THE GEAR, THE LIFESTYLE! IM TRYING TO GET THE FUNDS TO REPLACE THE VAN, RADIO EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT SO I CAN GET ROLLING AGAIN !! I SURE MISS IT! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU
Would it have been cheaper, easier, more versatile and repairable to use diffuser strips with RGB LEDs? Rather than expensive boatal tote epoxy. Aside from the SV logo stuff.
There are RGB leds being used plus the epoxy. Reason for the epoxy is to soften the light coming through and give it more of an effect. Some would say why not use plastic inserts and that’s because the ceiling as a slight bend to it and a thin layer of epoxy can bend when used correctly
Is there really still this much demand for high end vans? I thought it dropped off now that we are in a recession. So how do you clean the max fan, we all know how dirty they get!
These vans range from $110k to $190k so for me I look at high end over $300k. For the quality of build and components you get I feel they are great vans and far better than the RV market. There is definitely still a high demand for these vans and still some for the high end ones too. Shows and events are still bringing in large crowds
Can you do an episode on how to survive a Zombie Apocalypse in a van. Talking gas or diesel availability, how much solar to really make a difference, how big a water supply, 110 AC verses 12 volt power. Not talking about how much power to run the AC in an apocalypse......thanks

Nah, they are great and allow me to still do my thing. That said there’s a reason why it’s taken me years to make a deal with a pro builder for something like this
The vans will smell with dogs in them much. Also the animals have parasites and crawl back and forth from humans and back to animals all .. and they grow really fast that way. Interesting lighting.
Hey Jared, do you know of any van outfitters that would do a sponsorship? I'm a Director, AC, Cinematographer, and need something discreet I can park my gear in, sleep two people, shower, eat, and sit down to edit. Idk, just picking your brain from the comments. If anyone else has any ideas feel free to reply, I'm not a mean guy. Not sure if it's too niche, but I make a lot of different content (not on this account, please do not look at any videos on this account) including protests and events at the border.
Honestly and to answer you quickly, no there aren’t any that would. There was ‘market boom’ a few years back and too many builders got burnt but others that promised marketing and never delivered. The margins for builders truly aren’t worth it to them to do that. My suggestion to you is try and work deals with companies all separately and then possibly get discount on labor. Using me as an example with this van. I don’t own this van, Sandy vans does. They are letting me take it from show to show and in trade I’m a sales rep for them at the shows that is commission based. I also have the opportunity to create content on the road which is essentially free marketing for them. At the end of the tour I give the van back to them, almost like a lease. The question is, what does the builder get for sponsoring anyone. If you can provide that information to a builder then you’d have a good chance of working with them.
@JarrodTocci this was an extre.ely helpful reply and I appreciate you for it! I do have something I think I can offer the builder (if I borrow or lease it like you are) a couple of ideas like film creds and other things 🤔 thanks Jarrod, you da best

All good and I know it’s not hate. I try to show a variety of builds, but yes I show a ton of luxury or different kind of builds. I feel there’s a place for these ‘mid builds’ too. I decided to travel/collab with them because of quailty to price point is deserving

Honesty not thrilled with the ceiling lighting.... It looks cool for a minute, but woud get old quickly....

I agree. Would have been better to have used RGB LEDs so you could program the colors and just have warm white light for everyday use.
Epoxy should’ve been darker for the “burnt orange” color after being lit
