- The BasX TA1 is a high performance stereo preamplifier, which includes a stereo FM tuner, inputs for line level analog sources, a built-in DAC with plenty of digital inputs for all of your digital audio sources, including a high-resolution asynchronous USB input and a built-in AptX capable Bluetooth receiver, and a high performance phono preamp that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, along with a high performance Class A/B amplifier.

I just purchased one and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. The only way this could be a better value would be if you could roll the op-amps and if it had HDMI input. Same would apply to the BasX PT1. Outside of that I am so excited. It will be replacing a 31 year old Reciever/Preamp.
I have to admit that it would be nice to have more controls for tone and source selection on the front instead of the menu system the menu system makes it feel cheap and Chinese like. AM reciever would also be nice a lot of people in America still listen to AM for talk radio, sports, and especially for Jazz, Blues, Swing. The Display looks cheap by 1990 standards and especialy so by 2024 standards.
If you are going to have a cheap display it should at least do 1980's type stuff like some form of VU function. I can not say enough though that the menu driven system with such a cheap display makes it look and feel cheap and Chinese like. The display is no better than the display on my 1990's Reciever Preamp the difference being that it is just there for the reciever and to let you know what you have manualy selected with the knobs and buttons if it disappeared it would affect very little outside of the tuning the reciever.
If this had HDMI on the back and had a 3 band analog parametric it would absolutely Earth Shaking if you could keep the price point the same and still turn a profit! I know that is asking a lot. I am used to manufacturing cars and airplanes so I understand more than most but do not know your business!
I chose your product over many more expensive options because of A-B comparisons online and reviews by people like Cheapaudioman, Andrew Robinson, Matt Coykendall, E-Project, and Steve Guttenberg Audiophiliac to name a few. I especially liked the subwoofer out with low pass filtering included, great phono preamp and a built in FM reciever! The new lower price was also a huge selling point since I did not mind taking a chance on a brand I have never used or heard in real life with the lower price!
I love my TA1! But what keeps us from having something simple like 3.1 for the optical setting so we can use a center and get decent audio for movies?
Happy with by basX A700. I would like to buy more Emotiva amplifiers but in checkout I cant select my country (Denmark) anymore 😢 It seems all nordic countries are excluded for some reason.
🥳🥳🥳🥳
I'm very interested in this. I do have a question. Will this unit drive a pair of bookshelf wharfedale diamond 12.2 with a klispch sub, paired with my Technics SL1200 MKII in a room size of 14 feet long, 10 feet wide and 7 feet high? I just want an amp to listen to vinyl records.
This really depends on how loud you listen. If you really crank on the volume knob, I would recommend jumping up to the TA2 instead to give more power. The TA1 will give you plenty in terms of moderate listening volumes but those speakers at 88 sensitivity would play better with some more juice.
Come back in France!!!🙏
