Underneath on the 2nd night - Adam was so emotional and the audience was right with him - I've never seen him so vulnerable in a song - nearly in tears. I felt very honored to be there.
I don’t think anything by anybody will ever match Isle of Wight WWTLF, which even Brian and Roger said they were stunned by, but I hold this at 2nd and don’t even know how many times I have watched this special performance.

Adam sang and tapped his chest and I truly believe had a huge moment of angst and connection with the audience as he poured out his soul. I was right there in row 6 center and experienced this right in front of me. Witnessing this live and up close was unforgettable for me.

I was privileged to attend two concerts. What a voice! I appreciate the development in his lower register. I will definitely second you about the eye make-up being a distraction. It looked like there were just black sockets with random pieces of glitter strewn throughout. This man has the most gorgeous eyes ever. Watch the M orongo Concert to see what I’m talking about. That whole TOH and Queen tour era is probably my favorite he has ever looked. We got to see his stunning natural beauty with just touches of make-up. I saw an interview during that time where an interviewer asked Adam about his new natural look, and he said that he had been hiding a bit before with the heavy make-up. I wonder what he’s hiding from now?
@@lstapes7 I dont think hes ever got his body confidence back after he was poked fun at after the pap shots of him and Oliver on the beach in Tulum, he gained a lot of weight in lockdown. He jokes he likes his dad bod, but hes hiding his body under layers and heavy make up, once hes happy with himself, the make up will go I think - and I agree 100% about Morongo, he was his most stunningly beautiful and natural then.

I know I’m unhappy with my medication induced weight gain, and I don’t have to be concerned about being photographed and displayed. I’ll bet getting ready for the QAL Tour and then actually performing it will do him good on so many levels. Maybe they will even come back to the U.S. and Canada after that.
I'm Queen fan but I have really enjoyed their collaboration with Adam. I totally agree with you about the make up and the nose ring. I hope he tones it down a little when he goes on European tour next summer with Brian and Roger. Sometimes less is more...He is a fabulous singer!

@@gerinarowe9101 that is so weird because the song has taken on that meaning for me too. My husband died suddenly three days into the first lockdown in the UK from a failed valve in his heart. Due to covid rules we had no funeral, I had to be isolated for my health so I never got to say goodbye or saw him again, he was just taken from the house and never got to see family or friends at a funeral. The words now mean so much, as do Feel Something and Closer to You. Adams songs are a blessing now xxx

Then I can compose myself to carry on with my day to day. I dunno what his sound techs were doing but you could tell he was not satisfied with what was coming through his monitors. And yet he STILL killed it!! That is a testament to the depth of his talent. And that improvised riff at the beginning of Underneath because of the sound issues was actually quite sexy.

He's clearly struggling with the feed in his ear monitors. I think he's improvising on some parts of the song, as he often does, and in this case may also be doing so because he can't hear the feed clearly. For me it adds to the haunting nature of this song. His improvisations are golden.

@@judithwilson3561 my take on the situation is, the song was never performed live before because there were too many technicalities and the tempo had to be perfect. In the end, he missed some lyrics here and there because the song doesn't even have milisecond-space for improvisations, even hardly any for breathing. From the beginning of the song, the guitarist already made an off-key mistake, lowering down the overall balance and mood of the song. It wasn't the best performance and Adam really trying hard to do the "show must go on" attitude.
I'm intrigued, at the end of the clip you can hear a lady say 'he's struggling'? I noticed he fluffed the lyrics of Underneath and Marry the Night - is he not well or just nerves not having done a full concert for a while?
