- South Africa is facing one of the worst droughts to hit the region in 30 years. Many small farmers are expected to go out of business as food production and prices increase, especially in the Free State province.

The same thing is happening in most parts of Sub Saharan Africa. African government need to rise up to the challenge
As a paradox, in the developed countries water is seen
as some ordinary/trivial thing that can be wasted at any time.
In other parts of world water it is more precious than oil or even gold.
Costin Cosoveanu yes some ten years back my friends in bangalore used to waste water and now its having water shortages see how quick karma hits.
Only modern technology will fix such problems-and they attacked the ones with the know how-they wouldve at least of had food

If you have a big farm land . Take a small portion of that giant land and turn into the pond to catch the rain waters. If you are one of the many small farmers , make a trench around you fields to catch the rainwaters. You know the rain will come again sooner or later. Good luck and God blesses you alls.

1. Check for water leaks regularly and fix any that there are
2. Use a watering can instead of a hose or sprinkler
3. Don't let the tap run while brushing your teeth or hand washing dishes
4. Take a quick shower instead of a bath or long shower
5. Instead of using water to thaw meat thaw it in the refrigerator
