Love this! Victoria will forever wish that this first choice was the first single so all fans and none fans hear and see her singing. She does a great job in the songs. They all do their own parts and it's all done specifically to flatter each other and kick ass =) They are very fun so that's why we all need to hear and have the unreleased songs. They can laugh at ones they may not care for that's fine. They hate doing Do it live. They say that the show's are more fun and funny with their mistakes they make. They represent not perfect people and that we all are equal. Let us have the songs please. Thank you ❤
I don’t think they hate performing do it live. All they said is that they struggled with it during the 2019 tour but it’s one of their best album tracks.
She sounds perfect and smooth vocal wise for the final released version. She just is practicing here vocal wise for this demo just like the others do which is just a quick run through to know what to do when they record it at their best. Maybe you love raw, down to earth, live performances better than artists doing the songs perfect sounding after the practicing and putting it all together before they do the final. I do love this raw one too! They both are AWESOME and different. This is why ALL demos need to be released. They are different song versions!!! It's so much fun!!! 😍
I love the reworked version of this song that appears on the album, especially the last 30 seconds where the harmonies (that are not in this version) kick in behind the chorus. Fun fact: Virgin wanted this to be their debut single, but 4 of the 5 girls vetoed it in favor of Wannabe, and the rest is history. I do believe that it still should have been released at some point in the bull run of Spice and they missed out on a golden opportunity for another number one. Of all the album tracks, this one gets the most streams of any song that isn't one of the four singles.
Agreed! This is without a doubt one of my favorite tracks on Spice, it's up there with Who Do You Think You Are, Say You'll Be There and Wannabe. I love the sisterhood vibes it gives off, they're literally DUNKING on that poor man and I'm here for it!

Interesting, they swapped out Mel C for Geri in the chorus where they alternate leads, Victoria's lead in the chorus is more prominent here than in the final version

Actually Posh sounds prominent in the chorus on the album version. It’s literally pretty much only posh and baby singing the chorus with ginger joining in on “don’t want to know about that love thing” but in this demo version they all sing in on the chorus. It was a good idea to only have posh and baby as the final product.

@@2012onitsway tastes are tastes, of course... we could discuss forever about what is good or bad. Personally for me some of their demos are true gems, fresh and vibrant - this one for example does show their somehow raw voices but, not really bad. Their distinctive traits were already present - Mel C' powerful voice with high pitches, Emma's sweet and virtually faultless, Mel B's deeper and powerful too, etc.
