I've done a little flat herringbone, so I was able the follow the tubular demo pretty well. I couldn't follow where you closed the top part of the teardrop. Maybe I'm just tired. I think I'll be able to understand once I have a tubular piece of my making in front of me. Otherwise, it seems fairly simple. Definitely gonna give it a whirl! TFS!
I originally made a rope of 4 inches like you yold me to...came out to be 55 herringbone rows. Then when you came back after you said to make a 4 inch rooe, you said I should have 36 rows which was clearly not 4 inches. So, I had to take the additional rows back out before joining the ends.
start out with normal herringbone using just 11/0....once the tubular gehts going add the 15... you can always undo the first rows with the beginning thread....
I normally love your tutorials, but I'm new to herringbone and got totally lost in the first few minutes! Once you get started, it's extremely difficult to see which beads are "#1, #2, etc." So I watched the video teaching herringbone, got that down pat, came back to this and still didn't make it past the first few stitches. I've been beading for quite a while, I know a lot of beadweaving stitches, but this video leaves me lost. Are there any more tutorials that might help me?
I love these earrings, however, I am having trouble with the 15/0 lining up correctly on both sides. I have followed your tutorial to the letter and it just does not seem to work for me. I am very familiar with the herringbone stitch so I am not understanding where my problem is.
Hi I love these earrings and I love all of the things that you make on your videos do you sell kits and patterns for the things you make on the videos . thank you so much for this videos you do a great job on them to
I’m normally a pretty savvy beader, but this video was pretty tough to follow. I LOVE your videos, Allie…but this one was pretty tough. I made this project about 3 times before I got it right. A little help for some trying to follow the video (sorry Allie…but I think this comment might help a few out there): (1) before you join the piece together, count those 15/0 beads on both sides of the herringbone to make sure they are the same (and yes…4 inches is too long. Only do about 36 rows). (2) When you’re done with the 36 rows, you’re thread will be coming out of the “inside,” which Allie calls the “bottom” part of the loop (the inside part where the pearl will lie). When you bring the pieces together, you’re going to sew the inside part of the loop first. (3) When you move to the “outside” (What Allie calls the “top”) part of the loop, you’re going to create the top “V” needed to create the tear drop shape. This is why she adds the 3 beads on one of the parts. (4) When you add the pearl and are ready to sew in to the opposite side, I would highly recommend you count those 15/0 beads on the side to be sure your pearl is centered. Good luck, all. This was a challenge. 😅
Could you please make a printable with pictures of this tutorial so that it will be clear where you are finishing at the top of the earring. I really really like the earring.
This particular pattern hasn't been made as a PDF yet (since we have over 700 patterns), but we are adding about 20-25 patterns each month, and you can find them here: www.potomacbeads.com/Potomac-Bead-Company-Beading-Patterns-s/3515.htm
i had problems with this tutorial. first you said the herringbone needed to be 4 inches long... which made it WAY too big for the pearl... then you said it had to be 36 rows which made it impossible to connect it at the top so i gave up.

bilo bi dobro da si s toplom vodom, sapunom, limunom i četkicom iščetkaš nokte, zatim jednom limicom da ih oblikuješ. uz toliki alat da imaš i škarice za odrezati kožicu iznad noktiju i tek tad stati ispred kamere i svijeta. oprosti
I know how to do herringbone and your not clearly showing what bead your needle is going into! Your fingers are always in the way of seeing what you are doing! I love the earrings but I have given up on your tutatorial!

I think your tutorial is quite well done and explicitly clear... I understand your fingers holding the beads in place... WELL DONE tutorial!
Need help with joining part please. Thanks.
I've started this about a hundred times, and have to rip it out. And yes, I tried the simpler tutorial first. I'm ready to scream!!
Kris, when you have a chance email hello@potomacbeads.com with a picture of the project and we can try to help you work through it.
What a great idea for Christmas gifts! Thank you.
Too funny, I came over to your channel to look for an earring tutorial, and saw this pretty new design! Thanks!

I agree with Pam. I just can't get the 15s to work out. Has anyone else tried the project and been successful?
Great tutorial but finishing is confusing not clear. I am very much familiar with herringbone stitch. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi I love these earrings! Will they work just as good using 11/os instead of 15/os?
You are going to want both sizes.
Too confusing on the joining. The bead, the herringbone on the same side, opposite????? What??
i had problems with this tutorial. first you said the herringbone needed to be 4 inches long... which made it WAY too big for the pearl... then you said it had to be 36 rows which made it impossible to connect it at the top so i gave up.
Love this but I'm not into green 😂 l'm going to do mine in iris blue... 🤷♀️
That is wonderful!
wao very nice.
Lindo trabajo pero debería acercar la cámara más, para poder observar el paso a paso, así como hace no se puede ver bien y lo induce a uno a retirarse
so pretty but so confusing
Dommage très mal filmé
Usted se salta una parte del final, he tratado de hacerlo y no queda igual

Your tutorial starts very confusing and out of picture. But is a beautifull design

Very confusing tutorial
Hi Amalia, what part of the tutorial is confusing for you so we can help you further?
@@Potomacbeadco Hi there,

❤️🌹🌹🌹
@@amaliaisac4052 It is an older video and we can try to do a remake of it to make the ending easier to understand.
