SQUARERULE FURNITURE - Making a Walnut Desk
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 вер 2023
- The person who entrusted us with the first production in 2016 asked us for furniture again when he moved his office. The design was designed to reflect his opinions as much as possible.
He wanted a bridge shape with logs going through the top, but he couldn't find good wood. That part is a little disappointing.
It was fun to make, but delivery was difficult, so I received help from a student.
Please enjoy watching and have a happy weekend.
thank you

And i love the bowtie jig @13:52 i need to make one of those for my bandsaw. 👍🏻

Happy weekend!
Beautiful work as always! Where i live its sad and frustrating cause Most people dont realize or appreciate how much time, efforts,& energy goes into building a piece or a set of furniture and undervalue it because they saw it for "x" amount in a big retail store.
I don't know if my interpretation is correct, but South Korea, where I live, is not much different.
Ultimately, you have to prove it and show it.
I think I lasted 9 years like that.
This was possible because I enjoyed touching wood.
Absolutely stunning. I respect and admire your craftsmanship so much.
Thank you for watching.
It's a powerful weekend.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Captions would be great explaining your process, also more close up camera angles. Nice work. Thx
Thanks for watching! 💖💖💖
I loved the video sir. May I ask, why did you place the thin shims on the walnut at 2:00? Was it to lift the piece above the glue residue?
The cracks in the wood were filled with epoxy.
It took a long time to trim all of this, so I attached a thin piece of wood higher than the epoxy protruding part and machined it with an automatic planer.
If you watch the next video, you will see the plane being worked on.
Beautiful table. You are not afraid of the movements of the wood in such a large wood slab?
There is always a fear of deformation of the tree and we are prepared for it.
It was fixed using long-hole hardware.
Of course, since it is a thick piece, no one knows how the wood will change over time, but I don't think there will be any major problems.
It was produced in the winter, and now South Korea has passed the summer and is entering the beginning of fall. It was raining a lot recently, so I contacted the client to say hello.
Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend
@@squarerulefurniture congratulazioni, devi essere un bravissimo falegname per saper lavorare bene il legno massello.
Your work inspires me to be a better artist. I’m a young woodworker in the US. Can I ask what your finishing process is? I really love the oil finish and it looks so glossy and brings out the beauty in the wood. How do you do it?
We use auro 126 oil from a German company.
Thanks for watching!
Another great build! Can you please tell me the name of the marking gushes you use at 3:36. Can’t find them anywhere.
This is Matsui Scriber Gauge.
It is made in Japan. Look for Yahoo Japan or Amazon.
Masterpiece! Im also carpenter and I wandering how much time do you spend making something like this?
Due to the custom nature of the product, production progresses slowly.
Not only do we make this furniture, but we also make other furniture and accessories.
What is clear is that we are putting in more time and effort than we thought.
I don't know if my interpretation is correct, but are you in a slump right now?
I have been making furniture for over 10 years. During that time, I had many worries, slumps, and failures.
I think the important thing is an unwavering heart and passion.
If you need help, ask anytime. Fighting!
Have a nice day!
I too build custom furniture in my spare time. “More time and effort than we thought” is an understatement. When I’m not working on it, I’m thinking about it.
Most ppl dont know or appreciate how much time effort and energy goes into building a piece or a set and undervalue it cause they saw it for x amount in a big retailer.
Wow, it’s been a while.
Hello after a long time.
Thank you for first place!
@@squarerulefurniture congrats on the new TS75.
Hi, nice work, what is the price for a piece like that?
Usually, a walnut table costs about 220-320 Korean Won, but a custom-made table costs about twice that.
What kind of tables saw is that?
This machine is made in Japan.
The model name is tokiwa sb-400.
It was made by several Japanese companies.
