I read once that "necessity drives creativity" and when you were working on the roof I wondered where the extra hands were coming from. And then, I realized you were using him as a ladder. Well done!!
Who needs a ladder when you have a tall, strong partner 😂 We had a good laugh repairing the roof.

That metal part looks like the bottom kick plate for a dishwasher
Hiya. Don't throw cardboard away. I use them in my garden. 1. To cover stubborn weeds.
2. Starting the no dig system.
3. Arrange them as a small shelving units.

It can be very handy yes! We keep all cardboard that doesn't have too much ink on it ☺

The boxes would be handy to use to separate your items: sell, store, donate. You will feel much better when things are labeled and easier to locate. 😊

You could sand down your table and then stain it. Perhaps a rosewood or mahogany stain would be warm looking (I speak as a man in his sixties 😊. I think you are right about social media. I agree about news. Wise to avoid sensationalised news and stories that depress you that there is no reason to read. I admire your environmental conscientiousness but is it possibly a little disproportionate. For example would you burn your empty boxes? Get rid of most books and keep only classics. Read the rest in kindle. If possible get a rubber membrane for shed. Worth investigating. I find normal roof membrane tends to have a short shelf life. Even temporary sheeting may be better having silicone at nails.
I always claim that mess around me creates the mess in my mind, so I feel really good when everything's decluttered and organised! And first of all, I don't want to waste my time, energy and patience 😁 searching around for some items I need!

Yeah the wind is super strong! When we have the house renovated and better sealed it will hopefully be much less of an issue.
