    SS501 is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. They debuted in 2005 with the EP Warning, which included their first number one song, "Never Again".
    In 2007, SS501 entered the Japanese market with the maxi single Kokoro, which debuted at number five on the Oricon chart.The following year, in 2008, they became the first South Korean artists to win the award for Best New Artist at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.
    SS501 has released one studio album and seven EPs in Korean, and two studio albums and three EPs in Japanese.The group has been inactive since 2010,however the sub-group Double S 301, composed of members Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong and Kim Hyung-jun, continues to release music.
    The name of the band is a combination of letters and numbers that have special meaning. The first “S” stands for "superstar", the second “S” is an abbreviation for "singer", and the combination of 5, 0, and 1 symbolizes "five members united as one forever".

    This is the discography of South Korean boy band SS501 (Korean: 더블에스오공일) (pronunciation: "Double-S Five-Oh-One" in English, "Deo-Beur-E-Seu Oh-Gong-Il" in Korean), that was formed under the management of DSP Media, formerly known as Daesung Entertainment and DSP Entertainment. The group debuted on 8 June 2005 with five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun.
    Although all the members moved to different agencies, after their contracts with DSP Media had expired in June 2010, the group has, according to its leader Kim Hyun-joong, not disbanded.The members are, however, currently pursuing solo careers.

    Kim Hyun Joong - 김현중
    Kim Hyun-joong (Korean: 김현중; Hanja: 金賢重; born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean actor, singer and songwriter.He is a member of the boy band SS501 and played roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss.
    After debuting with SS501 in 2005, Kim released his first Korean solo album, Break Down, in 2011, and his first Japanese solo album, Unlimited, in 2012. Due to his commercial success, Kim is considered one of South Korea's biggest Hallyu stars of the early 2010s.
    Heo Young Saeng - 허영생
    In 2010, Heo left DSP Media, who managed him as part of SS501, and moved to B2M Entertainment, with bandmate Kim Kyu-jong, to pursue his solo career.His debut album as a soloist entitled Let It Go was released in May 2011.He then released several albums more in Korea and Japan, with the hit tracks "Crying", "The Art of Seduction", "Weak Child", and "1.2.3", among others. In 2012, Heo played his first acting role in KBS2's sitcom I Need A Fairy.
    Heo has performed in musicals as well: he debuted in The Three Musketeers, playing the role of D'Artagnan during 2011,and appeared in 2013, the Summer Snow musical.
    In January 2016, Heo reunited with Kim Kyu-jong and Kim Hyung-jun and grouped as Double S 301. CI Entertainment released a photo teaser for their comeback.The group released an album entitled Eternal 5 on February 16, 2016, followed by a Japanese album entitled Eternal S on April 20, 2016.
    Kim Kyu Jong - 김규종
    Kim Kyu-jong (Korean: 김규종; Hanja: 金奎鐘; born February 24, 1987) is a South Korean entertainer, actor, and a member of boyband SS501.
    In 2010, Kim left DSP Media, who managed him as part of SS501, and moved to B2M Entertainment with bandmate Heo Young-Saeng, to pursue his solo career. He made his musical debut in Goong: Musical, playing the lead role of Lee Shin, and debut as a solo artist in September 2011 with his mini album Turn Me On.
    Park Jung Min - 박정민
    Park Jung-Min (Korean: 박정민; Hanja: 朴政珉; born: April 3, 1987) is a South Korean singer, entertainer, actor, and a member of boyband SS501.
    With the expiration of the contract, Park left DSP Media, who managed him as part of SS501 and joined CNr Media as a solo artist. He made his debut as a soloist in January 2011 with single Not Alone,and had his first Japanese drama entitled Love Song In August in 2011.However, Park joined Yamaha A&R's Victor Entertainment eventually after successfully terminating his contract with CNr Media in 2012.
    Park speaks Korean, Japanese, and Chinese fluently.
    Kim Hyung Jun - 김형준
    Kim Hyung-jun (Korean: 김형준; Hanja: 金亨俊; born August 3, 1987)is a South Korean entertainer, lead rapper and youngest member of boyband SS501 and SS301.
    In 2010, Kim left DSP Media, who managed him as part of SS501, and joined S-Plus Entertainment as a solo artist.He made his debut as a soloist in March 2011 with mini album My Girl,and musical debut in Caffeine.
