In any working democracy, they would be impeached or forced to resign within days. The issue is not that he owns and operates a business while being the head of the country. The issue is that once you are a public servant you are required to declare ALL your assets and earnings. Because the ppl who the public elect to lead them are to be held at the highest standard of integrity. When my father died, we found that he had established accounts at his bank in each of us kids names, that we never knew about it. If it had not been for the Bank manager, we never would have known of those accounts my dad had taken as joint accounts with minors.

New days, every transaction must march banking records, so if you have cash from ten people, thirty credit cards and five checks that is 45 separate lines in your accounts journal rather than the old 'daily deposit 400 usd ' or whatever yhe amount was..
