लुक़मान किस लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं?
लुक़मान, पैगंबर इब्राहीम के पूर्वज थे और लगभग 500 वर्षों तक जीवित रहे। वे बढ़ई, दर्जी, चरवाहे और न्यायाधीश के रूप में कार्य करते थे। ईश्वर ने उन्हें भविष्यवाणी और ज्ञान में से एक को चुनने का विकल्प दिया, और उन्होंने ज्ञान को प्राथमिकता दी। उनकी बुद्धिमानी और आदर के कारण, उन्हें कुरान में "वह व्यक्ति जिसे ईश्वर ने ज्ञान प्रदान किया" कहा गया है।
मरने से पहले, हकीम लुक़मान ने अपने बेटे को यह सिखाया कि सज्जनों का साथ चंदन की खुशबू की तरह होता है, जबकि दुर्जनों का साथ कोयले की दुर्गंध जैसा। इसलिए, हमेशा सज्जनों की संगति में रहो, क्योंकि वे नेक सलाह ही देंगे। कहा जाता है कि हकीम लुक़मान अफ्रीका से खरीदे गए एक गुलाम थे।
