Our Dear Ms. Meyers: Absolutely wonderful!! Suggestion: if you are committed to a broach living on an item, I suggest removing the pin back first. It will come off easily with a pair of pliers. That way, when you sew it on it will be very secure, and sit more flush with the surface it is secured to. Also, i think your tutorial method is the best on UA-cam! Tapestry is my favorite fabric, great project! I made a tapestry "carpet bag" complete with metal tubing hardware closure. Its a nice big travel bag but of course I fill it with fabric stash. Lavoie Boho NC USA 2023

It just popped in my head! Covered cording sewn into the outside seam, would be a way I could add a little more stability, and another element of texture!! The possibilities are endless! Stray earrings, charms, old brass buttons! Oh, my gosh!

That is the most interesting and beautiful backpack I have ever seen. However, I am thinking of making myself a small cross body bag for shopping. Someone tried to snatch my hand bag at our local Walmart. If they can't see my bag up under my jacket, hopefully I will not be followed again. You did a wonderful job on that backpack. But, be careful. Someone may try to snatch it off of you.
Yes, I was. I did not go back to Walmart for well over three months. I plan my visits to Walmart very carefully now. I no longer take the time to shop and see what is new. It's just not safe anymore. I park in a spot where I shouldn't get blocked. Go in, gather the items I drove there to buy, and check out as quickly as possible. I am excited about getting going on these projects. Currently, I'm in a hospital, facing more time in rehab. My hope is to go home. I'm making the doilies for beneath some of the patches, and maybe even some of the edging tassels and pom poms. Why. Saves money. Have the materials. Scouring fb and ebay for the blank and tapestry. It was a little intimidating and i messed up the first try. The second try i accomplished it. your tutorial was easy to follow. My sewing machine was a little challenging. Instead of fringes, I took a piece of denim and decorated with lots of snippets from snippet rolls (your tutorial) and the back of the bag was a tapestry and i used the back pockets of the denim jeans and placed it on the back. I used snippets and blue fringe for the flap. It turned out beautiful. I was very pleased and proud. Thank you so much@@tmyershandmade978
