Actually this list is very good. Ozzy and Stephen surely would won a lot of other seasons with their final 3/2 castaways. But they were against 2 tanks Yul and JT. I think Yau would have equal shoot against Earl in Fiji in finals. Hantz should won at least once. ANd Cesternino, Cirie, Malcolm all would won in their first seasons if they would get to final Tribal Council.
If Parvati would've won Cook Islands, I would see Amanda winning Micronesia.

@@johnnobles911 I'd say Stephen unless Amanda learns to fully own her game at final tribal, which is what cost her the win twice already. If Russell's 4 previous attempts are any indication, we can count him out of the win entirely, because he still hasn't learned the lesson that you have to treat the jury well if you want to win

cirie could/should have been a two time winner. She had an uncanny ability to tell people what to do and they listened.
So did Sandra and Parvati.
Brenna Smithson Cirie would've fuckin destroyed Parvati or Amanda in the F3, which was last minute changed to a F2. And you wanna call Cirie lazy in panama? She did much more shit than Danielle. Just cause she didn't win immunities doesn't make her lazy. Her HvV elimination was JTs downfall. And production were idiots to practically give Tai two idols. The Legacy Advantage was also stupid, and without it, Sarah would've gone home, producing a new outcome. She got screwed 3 times. 2 times because of twists.
Russell and Boston Rob has potential to be a two time winner Russell could have won seasons 19 and 20 while Rob could have won Season 8 and still return to season 22 and win

@the end Actually, Cirie wins Panama had she survived the fire making challenge against Danielle, because with Danielle out, Aras is the most likely final immunity winner, and he takes Cirie to the end, where she beats him, because Cirie would get Shane and Courtney in addition to the 3 La Mina members on jury. In Micronesia, she set herself up extremely well to beat Parvati and Amanda in what they all assumed was a final 3, because Cirie had Eliza/Alexis/Erik as votes, Amanda had James/Ozzy, and Parvati had Natalie, so depending on how Jason would've voted, she wins either 4-2-1 or 3-2-2 against Amanda and Parvati. So how again was Game Changers the only season Cirie could win when her odds at winning were better in Exile and in Micronesia than in Game Changers?

I think Malcolm will be back again. He said he wants to, and I read that the thing Jeff regretted about the twist where Malcolm was voted out, was that Malcolm was the one voted off. Maybe not Ozzy though. He's played 4 times, and nobody has played more than 4 times.
Carrie Whitmore Yeah I saw that and I thought it was dumb that Malcolm got voted out that way would have been great to to see Tai, Ozzy, and Malcolm go at it in Challenges.

Ozzy's my all-time favorite Survivor player but even if we add the social skills to his game, I still don't think it would bring him to the 1 million dollars (he had the chance once but that was only because he won the final immunity challenge). I mean, he's already the beast in challenges and works like a horse in the camp. His social game is maybe not that great but he doesn't really annoy people too. So him having a social strategy would only make him a super bigger threat so bringing him all the way to the final tribal council is really a gamble and since we're talking about 1 million dollars here, I don't think anyone would be up for it.
This is, I think, how it went for Malcolm (sadly). He is arguably one of the best characters to ever play Survivor. The man got everything to win the game and this everything somehow back fired on him. At the final tribal council, no one will ever want to be seated beside someone who played a perfect game. If maybe Malcolm didn't over strategize then maybe his Survivor stint would turn out to be a lot different.

My dad just finished the Survivor Amazon finale on his 41st birthday. He said it was hands down the worst birthday he has ever had.
My absolute favorite non-winner is AMANDA! I like her so mucho more than many winners too. I would have loved to see her win sometime.

I appreciate it. And Russell was so manipulative that I think he deserves more recognition than the internet would chose to give him. I am interested what changes you think should be made? I think I'd put Lex at 11th, so he'd be 10th I guess if Russell were removed.

+bawahog Yeah I hate Russell as a person and he gets a lot more credit for his gameplay (especially in Heroes vs Villains where all the villains knew they could beat Russell in a final 3) than he deserves but on the other end of the spectrum he didn't play an awful game either. Physically he has more career individual immunity wins than some strong players like Malcolm, and strategically he made some big and good moves. However he's definitely not the best player ever simply because he can't win a final tribal unless he's next to Colton and Alicia
+Flamingjoe Russell should be the top of this list, as he's the most likely to NEVER win. It's impossible to deny he knows how to get to the end, but there's no way he ever wins.
Amanda or Ozzy could be replaced by Kenny for sure, but I kinda like that they're there and it works with the music and all.
The thing with Amanda is that we don't know if she would have improved her ftc had she gotten there, but I mean Ozzy on his 3rd try screwed things over with the 'trojan horse' plan, like he literally screwed shit up by trying to be strategic. If Cochran, the outsider of their tribe had gone to Redemption Island, Christine would have probably beaten him, and it's so obvious that she would have been willing to flip on Coach. She literally said it at the freaking duel. Aaand Ozzy's fake idol actually helped his own blindside because it ended up revealing that he had the real one, which made him more of a threat.
Just being good at challenges or just being a strategist isn't gonna make you a great survivor player, if you don't actually use these tools to help you win the game. Ozzy is an awesome Survivor character but he could only really accomplish one small aspect of the game. You might say he was a social player in that people generally liked him, but that's not really anything he did on purpose! He's just a cool guy! It's a similar deal with people who talk about what's going on and can see a strategic path laid out for them but don't take it because they're scared of making moves. Like, they're strategic, but they're still not good at the game. Just like Ozzy and Terry are challenge beasts but not good at game. Cuz they don't have anything else.

Russell did deserve being on the list and maybe even should have been first he dominated the strategic part of the game. He led most of the players threw the game like a dog on a leech. He found more immunity idols than anyother player even some without clues. He had a decent physical game winning some immunity challenges also he did havena social game because he stayed true took parvati to the end showing his loyalty! He out played , out witted and out lasted everone. He is a great.player
He had a decent social game in Samoa, Its just bitter jury .. Watch Laura's recent interviews.. she just can't accept that she was beaten by Russell... She is still bitter about Russell.
John was used for a tie breaker and was Majorly blindsided.. Shambo was used to get majority and was taken out.. they both voted for Russell ..
It takes some personality and character to do that... the other jurors lack

Shamus Drumm My issue with you two and your comments is that y'all are making bullshit excuses for your boy to make him look like the victim. including my favorite cop-out card by Russell's delusional minion: "bitter jury". and "hur hur outwit outplay outlast". That's a catchy slogan and nothing more, not a guide with set definitions. Using those cards indicates you don't understand the human element of survivor.
So Russell had a social game? Let's forget him calling Rupert a dumbass, his smug smile at Kelly, his condescending demeanor, and bullying tactics he used on Parvati herself. You can't just cherry pick instances where he did something "nice" for someone and say he had a social game, especially when the jury begs to differ and was there with him 24/7. Not you two, who were fed an overwhelming amount of screentime with Russell packed into 15 45-minute episodes.
John and Shambo were also two of the only people Russell build solid relationships with. Personality and character my ass. If you treat people like shit in ways that transcend the strategic game, what gives jurors the obligation to cater to him? Excuse them for not being robots who all have the same criteria when it comes to jury votes. What turned people off wasn't simply that they were beaten by him, but the way he carried himself about voting people off.
All his power plays that you watched from the couch are negated when he completely misses the mark on the key to winning: votes from the jury. The object of the game isn't to find the most idols or win the most challenges, it's to make it to the end and convince the jury to vote for you.
Sandra and Natalie also played the bandy-legged little troll like a fiddle.

No debate. No question. Done.
Exile Island- Finished 4th. Eliminated after losing a fire challenge to Danielle. She had Aras dying to take her to final 2 and she probably would have beat him. If not for Terry's immunity run and hidden idol, she likely wins the season.
Fans vs Favorites- Finished 3rd. The best player on the entire season. Had Parvati and Amanda wanting her in the final 3 even though she likely would have beaten both decisively. Only eliminated because of a twist that switched the planned final 3 to a final 2 because of the medical evacuations that had occurred.
Heroes vs Villians- Finished 17th. Was idoled out of the game early after being looked at as a huge threat.
Game Changers- Finished 6th. Eliminated in the craziest tribal council of all time. Every single one of the other 5 remaining players were immune because of either immunity, hidden idols or advantages. Meaning she was the only one who could be eliminated despite NO votes against her. Despite entering the game as one of the two biggest threats on the entire season (her and Sandra) she never received a vote against her the WHOLE game. Incredible.

Rob Cesternino isn’t talked about as much as he should be. The guy played a stellar game in Amazon.

In my opinion the best 3 players to never win are Cirie, Rob C and Johnathan penner. All 3 know how tolay the game very well and i wouldnt mind seeing penner or cirie return again
I freakin love watching Penner, but he was that good at playing Survivor.

Shrek Is Dreak Fairplay infuriated everyone with his heartless and conniving gameplay, as opposed to Sandra, who played the game but didn't make enemies, and Lil, who wore her heart on her sleeve. They pulled the jury at the reunion, and even if Lil had brought him to the end, he would have lost 4-3.
Ozzy would not not won Cook island even if it was final 2 he loses to Becky

Had Lil played to win she'd of brought Fairplay over Sandra and he'd easily have beaten her. He is probably the closest to win besides Cirie and maybe Ozzy.
the thing is ozzy has been close twice once in his first appearance where he lost by one vote and then in south pacific if he had won one more challenge he would have won... and I don't know if he would have won if he went with lil I mean rupert has gone on record by saying he would have voted for the devil sooner then fair play so if that was the vibe of the jury I don't think he had much chance

MLGWetWalrus No, but you can't necessarily win the game. If you win all the individual challenges, people will notice that you were never forced to strategize, and therefore don't deserve the win. Ozzy was never known for having a good strategic or social performance in any of his seasons, and that's why he never won. Hell, in South Pacific he was voted out three times.

To be fair, he wins Cook Islands had it not been for the surprise final 3, and he wins South Pacific had he beaten Sophie in the final immunity

Possibly out of own bias, Rupurt. Completely out of personal bias because he was so funny, Big Tom!
I liked Rupert just more on a likability level on and of the show, and yeah there are definitely people more worthy than Big Tom, but damn that guy was hilarious, running around in Africa during that challenge to get spotted with a feather in his butt crack haha, I'll never forget that!

Jonathan Penner would be pretty nice to see on this list. You can argue that he's not the "best", but he is one of the most enjoyable at the very least.

6. Amanda: 78 straight days of survivor! In back to back seasons! Thats amazing! And could've won micronesia if she watched china! So she could've learned from her mistakes! And she was the first person ever to reach 100 days!!!
5. Colby: season 2 was his! Strong, and very dominant. Though, i was more impressed in heroes vs villains by his "weak act". He was not a target at all during the merge!
4. Russell: like amanda, he dominated 2 back to back seasons! 78 days!!! Also like amanda, if he would've watched his season, he could've won heroes vs villains!
3. Rob c: the most strategic male ever on the show! In the amazon, he was responsible for many many blindsides!! And in all stars, he was considered the biggest threat in the game and was booted early.
2. Ozzy: while somewhat one-dimensional, he proved he could be strategic in south pacific
1. Cirie: dominated panama by far! And would have won if gotten to the final 2. And was screwed over in micronesia when they changed it to a final 2 at the last minute! She was way better than overrated parvati as well as amanda!. Heroes vs villains: if she made the merge, the heroes would've won and not the villains! She was the only strategist on the heroes tribe!
I absolutely accept with #4 .. Russell should've watched Samoa before HvV . He just lost it post merge, destroyed his social game...
I remember people complaining about "Not watching how Russell played and it's an advantage to him" I wonder How many remembered Sandra & Rob's game in their previous seasons?

@@RavindraSharmaP I'm pretty sure Parvati remembered Rob's AS game given that they immediately sized each other up as their biggest threats, and given that Rob was one of the reasons Jerri was voted out in AS, safe to say she remembered his game. As for Sandra, Courtney said that the only season of Survivor she watched before playing the first time was Pearl Islands, and guess who her favorite player that season was? That's right, Sandra, so safe bet she definitely remembered how Sandra played

Stephen really ran the strategic element of tocantins, as well as playing pretty decently in Cambodia. Colby made the bad play in taking Tina to the end so he doesn't deserve win and was really bad in HvV

Coach deserved to win South Pacific he played a great game and lost because of a bitter jury. Skupin should have beat Denise he was a huge threat and made it to the end and played a great game. If Penenar accepts the final 3 deal with Lisa and Skupin he wins. One of the smartest players to play the game made one of the dumbest moves ever. Also he was way to harsh on Skupin and needed to chill. However he is one of my all time favorites. Johnny Fairplay is actualy very strategic and played a great game. My top choices for a new host for survivor are 1. Peaner 2. Rob C. 3. Parvati 4. Boston Rob 5. Tyson or Cochran.
skupin SHOULD NOT have won. What the hell big things did he do. Denise played so well that season. Skupin(and lisa) were downright horrible.
+Jack Self Coach lost based on his jury performance, trying to be the noble warrior all the time, which Sophie knew he would do hence why she stuck with him.
Skupin though probably lost the game as early as day 1 lol because his tribe looked to him as a returnee but he was completely clueless about camp life. I don't think he ever managed to earn their respect, most of the cast thought he was a joke.
+Kripperino's Wiferino Skupin was the one who broke up the 3 person Abi-Pete-and the other guy alliance. Denise didn't do anything strategic the entire game. She was basically a coinflip with Malcolm on who they would vote out. (Same way Fabio was a coinflip with Benri)
Skupin would have easily won if he took Lisa and Abby to the end. He just handed the money to Denise.

Yay Cirie is on here i don think hs would be most deserving if she won but she was deffinently one of my all time favourite players!
Spencer is one of the greatest survivor players ever, he is one of my favs..but if he wasnt so damn cocky..i promise he would have won 2 times..But maybe when he gets older and more mature he will play one more time and rock it!

J.T might have gotten ever single vote, but if Stephen was with anyone else it was a very high chance he would win. He was robbed because he was in the final with J.T. That is the only reason, PERIOD.
This is not necessarily true, but I won't even bother arguing that point. He wasn't robbed. He got to the end with someone better than him. That's his fault.

russel's rob in samoa was probably the greatest rob in all survivor seasons in my opinion
Russell being "robbed" has a fairly easy explanation...it's called being as much of a dick as humanly possible to the people that have the power to determine who wins the game. If he'd played the same strategic game but balanced it out with more humility and less ego, it's very possible he'd have been a 2 time winner, so in the end, he and his fans only have his non-existent social play to blame for his losses

Skupin had to survive a lot of tribals after the merge and was saved because of his social game with Lisa. He won some challenges and got rid of the biggest threat in Peaner.

Fresh Like Shawn russle hantz sucks, their is no possible way he wins survivor. he play in somoa and the reliance on immunity idols and then pays HvV on the reliance that no one knows who he is, so in HvV he had huge advantage over everyone as no one had seen him play but when peple have seen him play before in redemption island they literally throw the challenge to get him of. russle sucks ass at survivor
1. yeah when foa foa was down 6-4 russle wasn't the person to save them it was a group effort as the entire foa foa made shambo align with them ok, so russle doest really have credit to that foa foa do.
2. if the20 cast even saw half of samoa russle would be fucked. That's why Amanda is better than russle, her game always her to survive even if they've seen her play before
3. ok first of Tina wasn't voted out for being a threat it was because she won before and no one thought it was fair, second cerie was voted out for being weak and for going against tom. Also theirs a big difference between losing a challenge and being voted out for being a threat than being voted out for being such an untrustworthy douch that ur tribe throws a challenge to get rid of you.

I like to count micronesia out as he got med- evaced, but he played a pretty decent game both of the other times, and would have gone farther in Phillipenes if he would have made that final 3 deal with Lisa and Skupin. All around great player.

I agree with most of the people on the list (but not the order) except for Coach(most dramatic maybe) and Ozzie(only thing he was good at was the challenges).

To me, the best non-winners are usually those who get voted off right before the FTC (they're voted off because they would have won if they entered the final), or those who lose in the FTC by a small margin. I'll put Terry or Colby instead of Russel, as those 2 are close to winning while Russel is nothing close to winning. I probably prefer Terry slightly more, as Colby's legacy has been hurt by his challenge performance in subsequent seasons.
It's more about best players. Russell might not have won. But he played the one of the best games we have ever seen.

I am not sure if Coach, Ozzy or even Russell should be on this list at all. All of them made it to the end and lost. There is reason for that.

Cirie being number 1 is perfect and correct. Coach should not be here and Malcom is a bit too high. Amanda is a bit of a laughing stock now but she really was a great player.

Ozzy should be number 1 by far Johnny Fairplay wouldn't have a chance and Rob shouldve won All-stars if he wasn't identified as a threat right away. Amanda I think could've won heroes vs villains but she didn't play as well as she did in China and Micronesia

Are you high? Rob C is the smartest player to never win and Jeff said so. Rupert is such a terrible player in survivor.
Austin B Yes Jeff said that Rob C is the smartest to play the game but just because he is the host doesn't mean what ever he says magically come true. Yes Rob is really smart and but I don't think he really had what it takes to win. Yes Rupert wasn't that smart but sometimes having a social game can be a good thing on Survivor or a bad thing but unfortunately for Rupert it was a bad thing. And also on 3/4 seasons he was on he got really far and that one season he didn't do good in was because he switched with his wife. Rob did not do good in All-stars because he was voted out not because he switched with whoever and lost the challenge.
Dude I watched season 6 and 8. Rob C was an amazing strategist that season and was brutally robbed. Season 8 he was put on a tribe with a bunch of scrubs that didn't do shit their first season.

Not sure what your criteria is for the Top 10. Is it Survivor ability or popularity/notoriety? I think Yau, Amanda, Fairplay, Malcolm, Russell, Rob C and Cirie fit both criteria but Ozzy, Coach and Stephen do not. Stephen is easily top 10 based on Survivor playing ability but not for popularity. Ozzy and Coach are popular but neither are very good strategic players. Ozzy is the greatest player at individual challenges EVER and still hasn't won. That's unforgiveable.

artvandelay1967 FairPlay played an amazing strategic game, being able to be hated by others and still make it very far, didn't play great socially but played great on his first season. Would lose to because of weak social game to lil if he took her, but you can't ignore how good his strategic game was. I really disagree with the thoughts on terry, as he was almost carried in Exile Island, not doing much, doesn't deserve win. Maybe someone like Kathy would be better
