Another fabulous video! Arnie fixing the corn planter brings back lots of memories of my family doing spring repairs. I don’t remember a farmer back then who couldn’t fix their machines by piecing things together, old and new. Nowadays I’m guessing it’s quite different with all the digitized machines. Not so much hands on.

Yes, this is one time we are happy to have old equipment. The new stuff is just like the new cars. Much more difficult to repair without a mechanic getting involved 🙂

The marker is what the old planters have. Those little arms come down and roll in the field leaving lines so that when you turn around and go back, you can see where you planted and stay straight. Nowadays, they have self-driving tractors and GPS!😆🥰🥰🥰

Happy sheep! Yep coveralls are pretty neat for fresh air and wind protection and lots of natural light. Love the combo that you have with mostly the coveralls but also augmented with the concrete block buildings too.
So nice you can sit outside in short sleeves enjoying the view of your sheep in pasture.
Hope you get the dry weather needed to get your corn in the ground. How do you make sure the little ones get enough creep feed? The feeders seem so crowded with the bigger lambs.
The food is there all day long so everyone is able to eat. But if troughs get too full, we add more so everyone can eat at once 🙂
How much does it cost
On days when you let them out to pasture do you adjust how much feed they get?
Not really. We are believers of always having hay in the trough which helps prevent bloating and gives them roughage. But they aren't getting grain anymore since weaning and it's first cut hay. So, I guess maybe we do!🤣🤣
