My main takeaway from this list is that most (not all) characters have a potential to carry or have massive impact, and Flats is mostly ranking based off of how easy it is to get value with the character, or how much work you have to put in to get their value. That strikes me as being a really good thing for the game.
Most characters are bad because others are oppressive. Even tanks get shut down by a few Hela hits, headshot or not. I dove a Hela, dropped on her, melee'd twice, she birder away, I charged her, she then turned around, stunned, headshot, headshot, body full of spikes, dead. A melee tank being in your face that is as sticky as Cap should be able to destroy her, they don't. 70 damage per auto, 140 on crit, that's crazy.
Sort of, but I think Spidey doesn't have any carry potential. Spidey is super single-target, like you have to use all your cooldowns on one player, and the combo will only succeed if the target doesn't receive any healing, use any escape tool, or land any CC. So you have to be a 500 iq player to track their cooldown, swing in at the perfect moment, then land like a 6-hit combo just to get one player. And his survivability purely comes from his movement, so the higher skill lobbies you play, the more players will be able to pick him out of the sky or peel his combos. Out of all the damage heroes I've seen in any game, Spidey is extremely reliant on his team, and has almost zero carry potential in good lobbies.
@@iminumst7827 yeah, spidey I meant to turn fights into either 5v5s or more like 5.5v5s, which gets exponentially better if it’s a healer that the enemy is missing, but as spidey you probably aren’t gonna solo carry with like a psylocke probably, but picking of players gets better the higher in rank you are
Wolverine hunting you down and kidnapping you is literally the best story and funniest description of what happened to you I've ever heard lmao. Made my day
I’ve actually LOVED Flats re-introducing himself because I feel like he’s becoming a different content creator. It’s like he’s breathing new air. It was satisfying to see him look at things in OW and then literally go straight back to Marvel feeling better when he got there. This is a new Flats.
@@ni9274 he doesn’t mind competing in higher ranks. What makes him want to not play in higher ranks is being forced to play a specific hero because if you play anything else, you’ll be called out. And also…. CHEATERS… Plus if he feels like playing anything else, he’s got people he can call and everyone will switch out and just have fun. Lol
I love this version flats because it’s exactly how i feel. Ive been loving B06 but its what i play to cooldown. Marvel rivals is like finding a lover while being in an abusive relationship.
Ironman is a non issue. But holy shit is he strong in bronze where every 2nd punisher averages 15% accuracy and half the players stick to black panther and magik against him.
As someone who just unlocked ranked my first game got demolished by an iron man I had no idea what to do 😭 he had like 22 elims by halftime and next on his team had like 8
Honestly my favourite thing is going Squirrel Girl and shooting him out the sky till he switches off lmao. But it also seems like I’m the only one shooting him anyway 🫠
It’s all about sight lines. Once you find some great angles and have good spots to run away to when you’re playing him, he’s legit a serious problem. And he’s probably gonna get buffed methinks cos everyone says he’s so weak
tbf i just picked up the game yesterday and played for two hours in quickplay i'm doing more damage on support, while keeping the team alive, on support than my dps does sometimes, and i'm TERRIBLE at this game
Appreciate that this isnt a theoretical list that isn’t like, reaching into the future when everyone is better, its just a RIGHT NOW who gets value and who doesn’t
As cloak and Dagger main with 34 hours of playtime just on them I wanna give some tips, 1. When teammates get rooted by Groot even if u urself get rooted u can still use ur ult to get out of it and by doing that u also save whoever got rooted also. 2. U can bounce ur basic attacks to heal teammates so u don't even need line of sight and I can't tell u enough how much of a diffrence it makes. 3. When u get dived by whatever damage character please bubble yourself in a 1v1 u will never lose if u play right but u could also just go invisible if it dosen't go right and by the time this happends your teammates will be helping u (if their good xD). 4. U can evade Jeff's ult by doing ur ult at the same time so that means C&D has 2 ways to evade Jeff which the other is to just go invisible. Also u can just evade every single 1 shot ult or cc ult in the game by just going invisible. 5.This one is for the teammates If u know a C&D will go invisible next to u don't shot or do anything so u stay invisible to get saved. I evade so many ults its crazy but so many times I could haved saved so many people but they decide to shot, and that's all I got, hope it was helpful. My main language is not english so if u see any errors sorry. (Edited) Also if u need heals but don't have bubble u can get close to allies and heal yourself also since basic attacks heals actually heal aoe , u can do this even if ur allies don't need healing.
Not a C&D main, (Venom main), but they are my main strategist when I needa go Strat. And this was pretty helpful. I didn’t know about the Groot ult. The bouncing to heal I guess I didn’t know? I haven’t noticed a bounce, just that it has good tracking when using. Jeff’s ultimate, didn’t know, I just found out earlier today Cloaks cloak ability makes you immune to damage lmao. When I found that out, I told my boys but they gotta get their damage (a lot of times) so they don’t listen… Anyway great tips dude. Once Ultron comes out will prob switch to him being Strat main
for anyone curious, the wolverine flats talks about is on the dec. 8th stream (hulk thumbnail) at 9:40:50. i highly recommend you watch the whole set because he genuinely was playing Five Nights at Wolverine's and its really funny
I think Wolverine should walk faster relative to his rage because almost every character’s backpedal is faster than Wolverine’s walk speed He really has some good abilities and gameplay, but just falls short in several areas, But I think he really only needs like 1 significant buff for him to be like, A tier (Also he should have slow passive regen out of combat because he’s Wolverine)
I was excited for this game because I’m a big comic book nerd, I’m a big overwatch fan. So when they merged I felt like the universe was giving me a gift, personally. Then I play it and it’s fun as hell! I would’ve played the game if it was the worse thing of all time, because it’s my two biggest loves combining. But it beinf good on top is just….so good
Same, I just wish the main line up of Marvel characters were stronger. It's weird how Captain America, Hulk, Wolverine, and especially Ironman are not as good as the more side character and villains.
@@Zekegeddhonestly bro, everyone on this list is powerful and good. Just depends who you ask. Hulk is probably the only one that needs a Buff, they gave us the mcu hulk. And I’m a hulk main just because he’s so fun to play, but he is too reliant on a god healer
@@ZekegeddI don't think the characters power should be based off of how popular, tbh. That'd seem kind of unbalanced and like they just want to sell skins or something.
@@Zekegedd to me, I don’t care if the characters are good. I care if they’re fun. And hulk is fun. Jumping into the enemy and punching till either i or the enemies drop is just really fun. Throwing Wolverine like a javelin is fun. Charging in as Cap or deflecting projectiles with a block is fun. The only character I don’t find fun is Storm. she’s slow, does meh damage, and even if she’s decent in terms of tier lists she isn’t fun. Which sucks
@@joepapa1189 I guess it's a matter of taste, storm is very fun to me, I love floating around my healers giving them speed boosts and slowing enemy divers and her ult is so strong in point maps
@@lanoirekaid4783 her ult ain't bad just need to time it or aim it right I usually get behind the enemy team ult and they all get super low and I pick them of that's how I got my best team kill got all six of them with my ult 🙏😂
Yeah, Squirrel girl is slept on a lot. Probably not the best in ranked because the rate of fire or the projectile velocity isn't that good but she's damn good in low ranks and qp. If you don't win your 1v1s, you yeet away or just trap them and run. Great on defense and a basically a god on klyntar maps. Good against dive. And the spiderman team-up just prevents Tanks from playing the game for like 10 seconds straight. Definitely a B tier, somewhere in front or behind iron fist
When they inevitably buff cap he is going to be BRUTAL, I have played multiple games going 30 and 0 with cap. Admittedly I’m in pretty mid to low elo lobbies, but he is gonna be so fun
"It doesnt happen in my rank. People dont fall for it" Chat: "Flats it happened to you yesterday" I also love how we are making tierlists based purely off of vibes.
Lol finally someone being mistly fair with Peni. As a peni player i can certify that she has some extreme highs...and lows: •As a tank she's garbage. Her health is sizable but that's paired with her massive hit box which makes her prime bait for aerials & snipers. • Her ranged attacks are extremely limited as their slow and moderate damage but still usable. •Where she shines is as a flank lockdown or zone control. The nest when applied creates massives piles of spiders that will demolish squishies or provide a heavy periodic damage while you duel tanks. •the deployable mines are also extremely dangerous as their stackable nature & high burst can quickly eliminate any non-tank. In essence she's an ambusher/ trapdoor spider. My personal favorite strat is to find a "nest" being a small enclosed zone on important avenues. From there you can provide a moderate dps with instense stuns. Enemies who engage will then be subject to a stocked nest which often translates too insta kill or serve damage. This is countered if tgey target the nest or team rush as defense is not a strengty for her. Her ultimate is underwhelming but best use ive seen is as an area disruption, mobile nest, or retreat. •The ability can bounce many people so on contested obj you can force clear it. •the mobile nest aspect is strong in small areas. If you circle a small zone then you can create lethal mine fields which make dive attacks very dangerous. •retreat is a viable use as you can shove, damage, shield, and sprint out of any situation. Ironically it's your onlt defensive tool besides passive regen. In terms of changes i think she needs a lil faster or larger projectiles to give an equalizer against air. A faster movement wouod be nice along with less restricted wall climbs, and a longer ranger web pull for better mobility OR a web grab to abduct enemies into ambushes.
I kinda expect her to work like DVA just to be suprised that shes mostly work as camping lol Really interesting take of Rivals making a full trap based hero to the extreme
As a Peni player would you say the Venom Team up bonus is helpful to you at all? I was just curious because if it is I would definitely put Venom above Dr.Strange then because Dr.Strange doesn't seem like he hits as hard as Venom and If he wants to be stronger he needs Hulk on his team and that feels just like Magneto's issue of needing Scarlet Witch to be really good.
@ sort of. As an ability it's okay, it's a shove move with mid damage at best. Where it can shine is in confined spaces or rare occasions that it juggles enemies, then it can be a menace otherwise it's a simple area disruption. For synergy it's ass (atleast for peni). Ideally peni is leading enemies into her nest to die, and so a disruption can prove rather counter productive at worst or mid at best. This is in comparison to the insane benefits magneto and others get. But venom as a character is plenty great. As a peni i more think of myself as a dps rather than a tank so having him is still perfectly viable too team comp. If anything a dive tank is more helpful as it's distracting to enemies (perfect ambush prey, AND Venom can have a very valuable safe zone if he retreats. That's my take but it's early and very possible these things may change.
groot is underrated, a lot of people dont even know you can change the angles of his walls so you can get up to places you might never have had the chance to before or even take your entire team somewhere if youre coordinated with your team
Man I think Groot is actual menace in high rank. Has a fast cds on his walls and that's three walls. I didn't even know there was effects for his walls and just spammed it everywhere to deny dps like Hela or Healers from doing their thing. I had match where I blocked almost 70k dmg. Wild hero.
People also underestimate his damage potential. I love top fragging as groot, three hits to kill most characters, add another hit and a lil right click if they're getting healed.
Bucky is so freaking good and has some surprising depth. 1. You can start the reload on empty FASTER if you manually do it. Once youve fired 3 shots, if you immediately press reload, it activates sooner than the automatic reload. 2. Youre supposed to combo his gun with his abilities because each activation of his abilities, auto reloads his guns. Fire 3 shots, shoots stun, auto loads and fires 3 again, grapple, dash and punch, auto reloads 3 again
No he doesn't. Spamming abilities to reload isn't depth. Pressing R to prevent an idle animation isn't depth. Bucky is an ult charge character. His hook into headshots is the only good thing. And I personally beat Wanted on Bucky after he 1v6 my team with his ult at the final point. He is legitimately not threatening at all. Especially not when Hela will 2 shot you
@@aiden2358 Sorry I thought I was clear, Bucky hook into headshots is his good thing, Hela can 2 shot across the map which is harder on Bucky . They literally have the same damage, but Hela is hitscan and Bucky isn't.
Magneto is my main on tanks. He is crucial. His survivability is amazing. His ability to push people off of the point is amazing. And then he has the best team up with scarlet.
I recently started playing Magneto and he is SOOO FUN, there are a few ults and stuff you can block with his shield which is pretty cool. His ultimate is also really cool, the thing that kinda sucks is that you need people to shoot at it for it to do any damage and you gotta throw it at the right time or it just explodes
@chance2326 i don't use his ult to kill anybody but the supports. I'll pop it when we're at a serious standoff moment and shots are flying everywhere. You can visually see when it's about to overload. Toss it at that moment towards any squishy character and then pop your mini bubble and get out of the mix because you'll be targeted. Save your big shield for ults like you said. Easy money.
35:30 I had THE most delusional Thor on my team. He was taking absurd amounts of damage and somehow managed to walk out of Luna Snow's ult, and he stilled blamed the strategists...
Gotta love how I consistently ended up playing top tiers Hela and Winter Soldier, Cloak and dagger and Luna Snow, and whenever I "had to play tank it was always Dr. FpsDrop.
@alexmaganda5827 they really can't fix it, more than likely they will just change it, honestly having a f2p game that requires you to have a 4090 yet still can have fps drop based on setup is not a good move, either way I play on console where is not even bad, but holy shit when you see through the portal is max 120p.
It looks like they removed a feature from Peni. She can climb walls and stay on the wall while looking backwards. This feature should allow her to shoot while being on walls. Would make her 10 times for badass
I have to agree. Especially because you can put webs on walls and get healing from touching them, so her kit already isn't limited completely to the ground. Just feels like something you should be able to do. Also kinda feel like it would make sense to get your passive healing as long as you're tethered to a web, not just standing in it, but I don't know if that really matters as much.
His weaknesses outweigh his strengths far too much, to get absolutely anything done on him you have to do so much Not to mention in the team fight to do anything you have to burn all your cooldowns, I’ve died to Wolverine probably 6 times all together and I’m like level 29
@@Bekfst i feel that is true for pretty much most divers/melee duelists like black panther and magik. Iron fist is the only one that doesnt require you to perform a surgery on your keyboard just to get a kill and he is also tankier.
thing about wolverine is that he is extremely good at punishing people on their own but the downtime for his passive makes playing against a hella really rough, you get the kill but then you will have to play hide and seek for the 70 or so seconds it takes for his passive to come off cooldown cause it doesnt reset when you die
@dembi2770No. Magik in particular has a really strong built in survivability and escape. Wolverine is definitely the outlier in that his weakness is so big that it outweighs his strength.
in my experience, Adam Warlock is the best secondary support in the game. He does really good damage for a support, his soul bond can tank some of the most damage in the game in the right scenarios, and his burst healing can pretty much give your team a second and even third life if timed properly against damage, and his ultimate is just broken, no way around it. The only problem with him is the fact that he can't solo heal his team when his main support dies or is otherwise occupied.
Oh dude the rez for him is amazing I played 1 comp game so far and I had my ult on snow the guy popped rez I immediately popped my ult started healing everyone and we won the game reminded me of the old ow1 mercy 5 man rez days
Adam Vs Dive is insane and definitely slept on. His damage reduction shoots down any threat of a dive, him dying barely does anything when he can instantly get back into the fight.
That’s because once you become the only support because the others died off, you essentially need to start hitting your shots and get kills to make up the difference to win those team fights. It is very much possible to solo carry as warlock.
My experience so far in low elo and where players are still figuring out the game is almost every character has a use and is “playable” which given the large starting roster, plans to expand and a massive history of heros and villains to choose from is fantastic. Plus team ups reminds me of tft which is fun. And different levels of play have different metas
Yeah Venom is the Winston, jump in get value jump out. Cap is Ball, jump in, run away for health packs, make sure their backline has to deal with you instead of healing their frontline.
I honestly think people saying Peni has no value other than her spiders are missing her ability to be a sustained damage output machine and the mobility as their factors. She is so much more than spider nest spawner
I think people see the gimmick and think she’s not versatile. Start shooting mines DURING a fight, don’t look at the ground, just shoot them directly at the opponent while still using primary fire. You’ll start dealing way more damage.
people are misusing peni, a peni shouldn’t just stand in her nest since if it doesn’t get damaged it essentially has no cooldown, if you are constantly moving along with your next and finding good places to put it, then repositioning when it gets sticky, you will be really effective. not to mention mines are best used not as traps but more as secondary fire, launching them in to the head of a team fight will always net you damage and kills, people can’t avoid a mine when it is flying at them
Love Flats, but I think the combat designers had a totally different approach on why they made Captain America the way he is: 1. HERO IDENTITY IN MARVEL: Captain America is a TEAM PLAYER in personality in the universe of Marvel. So you must think like a team player. Not go find someone down an alley by yourself. There's a reason he yells "ASSEMBLEEE!!!!" 2. "I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY": Captain America can sprint INDEFINITELY and LONG JUMP. Add this to his identity as a team player mentality and always wanting to help others and you are supposed to use his extra mobility to go help a teammate 2v1 or help one turn a 1v2 into a 2v2 or a 2v2 into a 3v2. 3. The shield cooldown is necessary, sorry, but it's true. Captain has a shield that can reflect things...he should not be able to spam his shield at all times. Be wise in using it. If they take away reflecting then he should be able to spam it. But if they aren't nerfing that then keep the cooldown. Sorry, not sorry. * Point 2 I believe is the central strategy that the designers had in mind for playing Captain America as he is now. He assists the team where they need help because he has infinite mobility that no one else has.
So the problem is that Flats *tried* to play like that with Cap initially. It felt *terrible*. The cooldowns are too long and cap simply doesn't provide any value to his team while he hangs back to peel. He's not like Doctor Strange where you can contribute DPS while staying with your team to shield them, cap does literally nothing if he isn't going in. I'd wager that most people who rank Cap really low are trying to play like what you are describing. People call him Captain Decoration for a reason... and it's even worse if the enemy doesn't have any dive to begin with. That being said, There is a compromise to be had with the shield reflecting and also the cooldown, because having a cooldown on a shield as limited as cap's just feels horrible in practice, reflection or not. Like, say, for example, make the top 20% of the shield's health reflect, and the bottom 80% just a regular shield.
@ Fair points. I like your shield compromise concept. I would hope for 50/50 though instead of 20/80 personally. To me, Cap isn’t a solo tank character in his current state. Most likely never could be with his kit even with a buff. Cap can play really well in a 2-2-2 team though. But you have to “read the room” with Cap, in my opinion. Read as in locate the fire in the room and try to put it out, if you will. I have great games with Cap playing as I describe. And it doesn’t feel terrible because I play to the kit. Not play how I want to play him. Sounds like an obvious concept, but I’m just making myself clear here. Not trying to be condescending.
As a Jeff main I disagree with the Jeff placement. As you made some good points here, Jeff could be really strong in a way though if you actually know how to play him right. you stated that he can be really hard to kill since he can heal himself which could be a good way to stall for the cargo game mode and just loop around while in dive mode and out of dive mode to heal yourself which counts as someone there if you do it right . I would say this is a good way to stall in case your whole team dies or is barely on their way etc. Not just this but if you’re in dive mode take advantage of the walls/heals if you have a melee character on you. I would say that Jeff is not a good at killing enemy’s but his whole purpose is to heal his whole team instead. he can try helping if his whole team is healed but shouldn’t really focus on attacking that much, only if necessary. But overall this just your opinion and I respect it.
Any tips on Magik that aren’t obvious? Been really enjoying her from the few games I’ve played. Her cooldown management is fun - I love distracting an entire enemy team for 20-30 seconds while my team captures a point
@@mattdrummond3552learn her combo, and always keep a disk ready to get yourself out of a bad situation. Try not to spam both disks back to back, or you'll likely get caught out. Her combo of disk whirlwind slash/Dash/Auto attack/quick melee/ranged slash/quick melee is insane, it instantly kills any squishy character and drops tanks to half health or lower. You will disk into their back line instantly evaporate a DPS or healer of your choice, then you can disk out to get back to your team. She's so SO good.
As someone who has played alot of peni i think there is going to be a natural transition of "she is great because people doenst know how to counter her" to "she can completely provoke and deceive enemies to waste time" By that i mean the egg is OP because nobody shoots it, but when they do they basically start chasing it, and forcing them to back off from diving with melee, and if they shoot it they spend so much time on it that might have been better served elsewhere. likewise the more cautious people become of the web bomb traps the more you can start just shooting webs in doorways and they will have to hesitate if its a trap or not where as now when they dont realize it they just ignore all the webs left on the ground. Also i think its often overlooked that ALL webs heals her, so even if you blow up the spider egg you can just web under you and get a constant health regen + overshield which can help with survivability.
It lowkey surpassed my expectations. I thought it was gonna be fun, but feel kind of cheap. But like the presentation is good, characters are fun to use (minus a couple), and it’s more balanced than I expected it to be
Wanda is sorta a flanking and 1v1 character, or damage helper when playing with team. she applies pressure and gets out easy with her two escapes. She’s amazing against melee heroes lol
@@Captainflacon Yeah this whole “you can heal through her damage” take that Flats gave as justification is nonsense. Either she’s attacking someone who is separate from the team and can’t get healed or she’s just adding extra easy and free damage on top of the damage that someone is already taking and her secondary does good burst damage if needed.
Literally and I feel like they never talk about the fact that her main damage output is her orbs. They act like she can only suck and it takes forever but if you use her correctly you can get quick kills.
@@Captainflacon She was one of the most broken characters in the last closed beta I played. But I also noticed everyone in that beta was doing something different with her. There was a LOT LESS characters to pick from and so the combo of Magneto/Scarlet happened way more frequently. Like every other game kinda frequent. Both of them together are a power house. Not to mention she needs time/protecting to get her ult off properly if we are being honest. A good magneto would also end up shielding her with bubble as she was going in to make it happen. I saw way more wombo combo thought being put into how people were going to do ults and such in beta. Now that its like everyone is a mess lmao. Like I don't think i've seen a SINGLE person do a Groot ult into a MoonKnight or Black Panther ult combo. Groot is JUST ZARYA ULT. Why do I never see anyone saving ults to combo that lol. I feel like the coms even for randoms is more active in OW for what ever reason and thus people do crap together more.
i would like to say that you left out a really big and important fact of jeffs bubbles they increase healing on any one hit by them making him able to heal over 300 a second
Hot Take: An ultimate who's only purpose is to heal a ton in a stationary location should outheal anything that doesn't one shot IMO. If it upsets you, simply wait it out or go a character with a one shot. Luna and a Mantis ult are better in majority of scenarios as they offer high sustain, provide utility on top of healing (CD ult does damage, but it literally requires you to afk with zero heals inside the ult to die in at as a squishy), and can actually move around to follow teammates. Hope you people don't get her nerfed into the ground before they touch Mantis.
Had an absolutely insane Wolverine on my team one game and that mfer would not die. Granted that was partially because me and my buddy were also sticking to him like glue to support him popping off but it was like 70% him and 25% us and the last 5% being the enemies healers not being great.
17:45 i found out Thor ult could be interrupt when playing Hawkeye and his fucking knockback stopped him. I was flabbergasted cause it wasn't even a proper cc
Fun fact, if your above hulk when he jumps he actually grabs you. As a Thor main, he caught me while I was doing my ultimate. Super pissed me off lmfao
@@baisale36 I was pissed but I appreciate the effort to make that a function of his ability. Like they must have test played so much and at some point someone jumped at a flying character and was just like “ soooo I have an idea”
Yeah, of course you’re saying that because no one is diving or flanking Jeff in low rank. He has no way that he can protect himself effectively like Luna, mantis, or Adam warlock. Yes, he can go underground and survive but he can’t heal while doing that. Cuteness =/= Good healing output.
@ just delusional when you dive him and he goes under he gets a speed boost, a super small hitbox, damage reduction, becomes cc immune, and heals. I’ve seen two dive characters put their whole kit into him while he’s under and he’s survived. The only jeffs that die are the bad ones that have no reaction time and don’t go under before a diver gets something off, for example a Spider-Man uppercut.
Oh yeah and there’s no cooldown to going under to top it all off and not to mention his bubbles have good self healing and push you back for whatever reason which I’ve seen destroy dash resets on black panther
Spiderman is mostly meant for diving and extremely hard to play. Have to land least 3 webs on a isolated target to dash combo them. Also always need to Shift out of combat 90% of time super quick to health packs because your super squishy. The best ive done with him is like 13-3 K/D
@@hop5656 He’s really not that hard. You just have to play smart and accept that sometimes you’re just going to be annoying without getting kills or have to sit and wait for an opening to finish someone. The best I’ve gone with him is 20-1 for reference
I definitely agree that tanking has to be something you WANT to do. Like DPS you have to want to get kills and do lots of damage and fun tech, which MOST people want (hence why it’s been the most popular role in both OW and MR). Same goes for support. I LOVE healing in games. I pick healing related classes in MMOs and Hero Shooters all the time because I genuinely enjoy healing my team; it’s just such a fun concept. Tanking is probably the least popular because who wants to sit there and poke while just getting hailed with damage. The hardest parts of these games is always finding a way to make tanking FUN. That is, without making the tank a glorified third DPS (looking at Doomfist).
The biggest misconception about tanks is that they exist to take damage. That is outright false. They exist to be able to do things that other characters can't because those characters would take too much damage and die. You drive the enemy out of their secure high ground positions, push through kill zones and get enemies to look at you while the rest of the team can pull up and help you. You don't stand on the point, you push *past* the point so that the enemies have to fight through you to even think about contesting your team on the point. There is no stat on a score card that can measure a good tank, damage taken is just a guess... and at the same time there is no positive feedback for doing well as a tank. Their positive feedback is "I made a play and we won the fight/took the objective/gained a lot of ground"... and they require more faith in their teammates' ability to follow-up on their plays than most people have in a team-based game. "Glorified third DPS" is a legitimate variation on the tank role. You know the best way to get someone's attention off your team? Killing them if they don't pay attention to you instead. There are Brawl tanks for a reason, Zarya doesn't exist to bubble her teammates, that's just a convenient side hustle that enables her to be the biggest stat-stick in Overwatch and kill you if you try to 1v1 her (A bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea). Be the thing the enemy team needs to react to so your team can capitalize on that reaction and kill them all.
24:24 as a storm main, I gotta say c tier. She’s fun and does some unique stuff. But her damage is bad (if not close to the enemy she only does 25 dmg a hit) and her mobility most of the time is meh. However her team wide dmg and speed buff are really huge in helping your other teammates do crazy dmg
I love Magik so much, she's a hard counter for certain meta options and there's a bunch of characters where if she catches them they die and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it. She's prob my favorite DPS atm
God same, I have consistently have been noticing how good she is against most meta dps characters and even healers. I dive in the back, kill support, kill dps and everything rolls from there. She has such good survivability
Don't forget her attacks actually have range. You don't have to be in melee range. That sword is so big it makes it so you have between close and mid range distance on hits
@@kingcerberus93Magick does more damage the closer she is with basic, so it's more ideal to be a bit closer with her as long as you have the abilities to get back out.
@Shizu4189 the damage has never changed between being close to them and not for me its all been the exact same for me. So i think thats a bug on ykur endm or could be a bug on my end. but what I mean is if you have a troublesome melee attacker you don't have to be in their melee range so you can just bully melee attackers with her. I see so many people being literally in their face and getting completely bodied by the enemy lol
Black Widow's current state is 100% intentional. I can't see her stay like this for too long, while Hawkeye gets to do what he does currently on top of having a seasonal bonus. It's just a trap to hook in OW players.
She should have a few seasons to be better with less recharge btwn shots and a faster ult. Whenever I try her I physically cannot do damage fast enough
From a balance stand point, it’s very satisfying seeing that the top 2 tiers have more heroes than the bottom 3, shows that the hero kit designs are both strong and fun
Ive been only playing loki and its crazy how i play other peoples mains better then them. Also fooling the enemy is a dopamime rush especially if you trick even your team that youre a doppleganger
A good Peni wont place nest in a location easy to shoot. If your dive jumps in for it, Peni punishes hard. And even after you smash it Peni has two other web skills adding healing. She isnt OP or anything but holding a position and denying dive is pretty powerful. She is just not useful for everything.
@@shihoblade Denying dives can be great, especially for the snipers on your team. placing a nest and some mines around them will keep them safe from most melee flankers, and you can better hold an angle with the health regen you get from cyber-webs.
@@shihoblade that's what i figured out with her as well. if she on defense or holding a point then she's great other times she's very difficult to be useful in.
@@hittkid6312 Her strength is definitely based on whether or not her team can manage to get space for her to set up. In a team that's good enough to do that, she absolutely rolls, but it's hard for her to carry and clear space herself.
@@shihoblade oh yeah I played Penni not very long but the mates I play with say I should only play her. Know I am scared because I dominate my area when I hold a spot. but open maps are my nemesis. Like Wakanda maps or Hydra 2 maps where she falls behind others bad spots for her Egg. I can only play her Need to climb faster with her. Suck at all other tanks. xD
Left click two or three times, shield, rotate the map constantly, keep flight for dodging unless you're winning a fight/need to challenge a sniper, use your shield to walk up and ult when they're reloading or sneak behind while flying, melee can hit multiple people so weave them btwn primary shots. Uhhhhh get the battle pass skin asap cuz it's gorgeous idk
@dreaddistrictgn5477 mantis is pretty op. Having all that heal potential while also being able to give damage buffs. I think she's a must have for most teams.. but C&D can do some crazy healing whike also being able to ricochet ur heal around corners. Plus the invisibility doesn't only make ur team invisible but stops them taking damage and in cloak form you can do good damage while ur basics are hit scan too
@@nailinthefashioncan confirm the battle pass skin is most important. I still suck at him and I main Magneto but that skin makes me look fabulous while sucking!
As an iron man main. Maybe he’s bad on PC. But over here on console. He is good. Almost too good. Very easy to flank with his armor overcharge. He is literally flying flanking bastion.
Hes good on pc too when used as a flank no healer or dps can heal through armor over charge and his beam and when you flank its litterally like a 1 second kill and hes able to flank quickly going long ways around the map where the enemy is not. But yea if you try to play like a flying hela or storm hes not great because its hard to land direct shots long distance.
As a jeff main (i skipped straight to that part to hear reasoning) i can concur with the take on his healing not being good enough and him not really having much else to support. However i do slightly disagree on his ult always needs to be a big one i think its just a great ult for opening people up, when most people hear the ult the spread out or seek cover which naturally makes an opening and you can easily just target the main threat on the enemy team and just get them out of the fight for atleast 6 seconds unless you really missplay. In the end i couldnt really say what tier i would put him since i didnt watch the full video and i dont have enough experience (or confidence) to consider how strong everyone is compared to eachother. All i can say is wait and see i guess the game is still too new to really get solid reads on everything.
I’ve found saving the bubbles for burst healing, usually on a retreating Venom to get him back in there, can somewhat reverse his somewhat lacklustre main healing beam. Still being able to heal multiple teammates in a row is a great ability to have, not to mention the potential to suicide team wipe with his ult. I’d say low A-high B in quick play and lower ranks especially (then again he’s my absolute main so very biased).
@@Canadian_Goose0 the burst healing is definitely great and I do that alot myself, the bubbles you can also just setup as sudo healthpacks for your teammates (which I do alot with a cap main I know) but eventually you are just gonna be low on bubbles unless you die frequently or you wipe the enemy team and get time to reset. The ult definitely has potential especially at lower ranks but eventually people just arent gonna let you unless it's an overtime situation and I personally dont believe tierlist should really be focused towards the lower ranks but I can definitely see where you are coming from. Note: I wrote this on phone at 4am and I'm too lazy to check for spelling errors so if they're there of well. Just hope I got the point across.
@@nailinthefashion CC does jack shit as most people miss them, you know what annoying? not being able to kill any one because jeff power healing the hell out of them.
@angerskarin9222 maybe below mid silver but once you're climbing out of it, Mantis + Luna becomes meta and they're still unkillable if they're focused on healing the same person or each other. Jeff is only good for a full dive comp cuz he can replace either woman & there'd still be cc to counter their counter dives. Also... if you're not landing cc, you deserve bronze and shouldn't be worried about what's meta, anyway lmao
I agree with most of these takes honestly, though I would go up on starlord rather than down. Jeff I think seems strong more because hes easy to play so a lot of people are getting high value out of the abilities, the ult is also quite dodge able with a lot of abilities once you know them.
@@HUNGRY4EGGS There's exactly 1 second to react to it from his audio que. Idk assuming the Jeffs not stupid and activates it with you near the middle, I don't know how many characters can aim their movement options and have them actually pull them out in .8 seconds (Accounting for average 200 millisecond reaction time). Maybe alittle more because you can pick up on the initial audio and expect it. But you're also working with other enemies attacking you, taking your attention. It just definitely doesn't seem like something easy to dodge.
1:37 pause. Wdym just hold his shield? Am I not supposed to be competing with moonknight or other DPS in dmg while also soaking more damage than the other tanks?
I think Hawkeye's biggest strength, to me, is how much body shot damage he can do. On duelists, I usually go for headshots, because landing one stray headshot on a duelist will change a fight. But tanks are easy to hit, easy to keep your passive maxed-out on, and the sustained damage of spamming full charge arrows will melt them. Landing a stray headshot on a tank is just a nice bonus.
Have to say, downloaded the game yesterday, and spent the whole time playing Captain America. I LOVE that character, and honestly have zero desire to play anyone else right now, because I love diving into the point, acting as a distraction, and getting stray kills off my shield throw. He might not be the best tank in the game, but he's the best for me!
idk man when i play groot i am pumping out dps his left click is actually crazy his ult is pretty bad i will say but having a grenade and a strong left click is crazy especially when you can isolate people from healers
Peni for me is body shot and mine spray into a crowd for a ton of damage. Her mines are great for the first place surprise and also for quickly surprising people who didn't realize you'd been flicking mines around
Yes this is what I've realized about peni she is definitely worse once people respect and deal with nest bot her cds are so low you can get so much value out of the mines and webs
A slippery Iron Man, or an uncontested Iron Man are deadly. I think there are certain maps where Iron Man is horrible to deal with if he knows how to maneuver (Hydra Base, Klyntar, Archives and Throne Room on Royal Palace) and use aerial obstructions to his advantage. However I can't deny that Storm brings the added benefit of damage/movement boosting her whole team and has a way better ult that's much more likely to catch out folks that aren't prepared for it. There's also the fact that Iron Man and Storm would be a lot better if Hela and Hawkeye weren't so strong as it is. I feel like Iron Man is really good for AOE damage to shut down a choke point if he can get into a good spot where he's not liable to get sniped, but that's much easier said than done. I think a lot of heroes have the potential to be pub stompers in the right hands, and can even be viable through higher ranks, but there does come a time where playing out of your mind with a decent character will only get you so far, because you're gonna be running into folks playing well with GREAT characters and the difference will be palpable.
Iron man is only ever playable on the spider multiverse web Tokyo stage because he can hide behind the buildings as an advantage. Good luck trying to use him in any other map against any DPS who can aim. His damage is abysmal without the Hulk and doctor strange combo. From what I’ve played the only DPS characters that iron man can beat reliably in a 1v1 are moon knight, scarlet witch, storm, and black widow. Mind you he only wins these if he has his powered up state which can backfire if it ends while your fighting. For some reason the devs thought that iron man has to go through a transformation state when his powered up state ends which interrupts the move you are currently using to kill the enemy. I cannot count the amount of times I am about to kill the enemy healer or DPS only for my powered up state to expire and I’m just a sitting duck in the air for about a second. Either remove the interruption during the transformation or extend the powered up state duration. Oh and while we are at it increase the speed of his ult for the same reasons stated in this video and increase the tick damage rate of unibeam or increase his overall damage by 5 or 10 percent. I think mobility wise he is fine imo, don’t know if everyone else agrees. Even with all of these changes I think he would just be mid tier at best.
As a captain America main, ironman single handedly counters me. I can't hit him unless I charge my melee off the other tank, his damage fucks me and his laser goes through my shield. Deflecting his ult is literally the only thing I have and yes it's so fun and satisfying to do that, but the shield is so small, he can aim it at you and you could still miss it and it will blow up behind you and kill you and your team. If he could super jump and shield, things might be different.
I've been absolutely shredding with Iron man, but I think he's just a low ELO character as a lot of the time people just don't even try and kill me the entire game
I like how you have to consider which characters are paired together based on synergies or playstyles. It increases the complexity so much and even the low tier characters can perform super well given the right circumstances
17:16 I haven’t played rivals yet but what I know from characters/weapons that have a beam attack is: you are the biggest, most obvious target since that big ahh beam has you on one end of it and enemies will know that.
22:12 I have a question, for anyone tbh. Is the damage for Spider-Man good enough to warrant the amount of work it takes for one kill? I guess compared to hella since this is the example he used.
I think so. You just have to pick your targets right. If you can get behind a healer or squishy (which is super easy with his swing) you can nuke them with his combo then get out with his swing. Honestly though, he's just insanely fun to play once you learn him
I really like Penni. Instead of setting mine traps and waiting for enemies, I like to push them and drop mines directedly on them while I web them and then left click. I was a Junkrat main in OW so maybe that explains why I like her.
Captain america is great you can block everything if you know how to do it and punish them after I didn't realize he was such a beast I was killing with him and barely died everyone is sleeping on him I didn't realize he was so good when I played him
My thors awakened form regularly gets me kills on Peni. Also devs please stop me as thor from being ajaxed by a jeff ult when in the air because 2 times ive dealt with a TEAMMATE ulting after i did an ruin my play. Feels like it can be neutralized easier than maybe reasonable.
IDT Iron Man is bad and I got to the beta’s Platinum with him and Rocket. Long range enemies shouldn’t be able to shoot you as you should use tall pieces of architecture for cover and boost around frequently so they don’t pinpoint you to only one location when they push forward. Using weird angles rather than being too far away allows him to deal great aoe damage and be in reach of healers as leading your shots can actually help you get direct hits and your rockets don’t spread which can quickly deal great aoe damage and get rid of a healer by centering your rockets around them and shooting some Repulsor blasts. You can also use rockets to quickly destroy breakable walls to surprise the enemy team by taking away a big piece of cover. Weird spots that are hard to see rather than reach helps deal with flankers as they’ll struggle to find you and go for your supports allowing you to unibeam them when they’re distracted. You should use these to be near your team so you can boost away from any short range damage dealers toward your team and healers anyway. Your main weaknesses are Psylocke who turns invisible to find you undeterred and has quick spread shots that deal good damage, Venom if you get too close and cocky with Unibeam and he has good aim for headshots, some Wanda’s can be hard if they use their vanishes wisely and hit you with her projectiles but this is mostly if you waste too much ammo before facing her or don’t stop shooting while she’s vanishing and need to recharge or when you’re healers don’t or can’t heal you if you weren’t starting at full health, to my surprise one Rocket was hard for me as he dashed twice straight into me and his gun dealt great damage against a slow character when he doesn’t have to worry about leading shots, Cloak is also hard as he weirdly seems to deal more damage than Wanda, and lastly you greatly struggle against anyone gunning for you who’s being pocketed. Iron Man is all about crashing the party when he’s unexpected and you need to keep track of both teams’ behavior to deal with flankers when your healers are looking out for them and to surprise the enemy backline when your team pushes forward or when they take up a lot of the enemy’s attention. I’d put him at the bottom of A as his damage is great but to Super Heroes being covered in Iron is the same as being covered in Glass and some of his abilities hinder his movement for a short time which is what actually leads to you being unable to escape some melee characters along with hallways that also hinder your ability to fly into cover. Rocket is also good and is definitely better than Iron Man. His healing doesn’t stack and will be wasted if he shoots several orbs at the same teammates. This allows him to be aggressive or to efficiently heal several teammates at once by shooting one at each of your hurt teammates one after another. He should be played shortly behind your tanks so he can heal himself and the tanks at the same time while using them for cover and dealing good damage. He can heal dualists before they die and help them quickly destroy other dualists while his orb continues healing shooting multiple only if there are walls for the second one to bounce and start healing after the first stops the bouncing also helps heal teammates out of your line of sight. His dashes and wall climbing give him great survivability and I’ve lasted until the end helping the tanks survive for a great amount of time after the rest of the team dies even when dualists try to chase me. He needs some changes to his weapon as he holds it very low and if there are any slopes he might end up shooting the floor unless you get closer. His armor station also should do more as it’s supposed to give armor pieces as well as revive but they might as well not be there making it so you should just ignore them and only place the thing in a hidden spot for it to revive. I’d put him in A tier as well somewhere above Iron Man but I won’t be more specific than that as I don’t know how to correctly rate a lot of the other characters. I only know that these two are not the best but very good.
Loki is strong, constant healing and damage with both clones and can copy ults, so you can turn the tide quickly with a well placed Jeff or Punisher ult and then top up your team’s health
Ive been watching both of your channels for a while now which is weird cuz i never really played OW or OW2, Ive got maybe 100hrs combined I just really enjoy your takes and video style so I cannot tell you how happy i am that your finally making videos on a game im thoroughly enjoying lol
people are going to see very soon that Peni is actually the second strongest tank in the game. and there is no planet where wolverine is more useful than ironman. just mathematically not possible.
the only world where iron man is better is the world where people don't hit most shoots (aka ur average player). Thor has C.C and damage which is already double what iron man can do
I play cloak and dagger and i can say some stuff: Mantis is the best in term of heals. She heals herself and others, she survives for a long time, but can't really put up a fight. Cloak/ dagger can melt a duelist if they don't expect it. Also, as dagger's main weapon actually follows you, she can heal duelists on the front line and help, bc when she heals someone, she heals in an area where she can be healed herself. One thing i like to do is drop a bubble, turn to cloak, throws my wall that blinds and gives enemy extra damage, give some damage and vanish. Go back and heal everyone. Mantis dagger combo is really nuts, unless a tank comes after them, any other character just dies trying to kill them
Can't really put up a fight? As a Mantis main, yes she can. You hit your sedate on a flanker then you're guaranteed two headshots which almost kills anyone. She works really well as a support dps but then again, so do all the supports.
My main takeaway from this list is that most (not all) characters have a potential to carry or have massive impact, and Flats is mostly ranking based off of how easy it is to get value with the character, or how much work you have to put in to get their value. That strikes me as being a really good thing for the game.
Agreed! The implication that the best characters are lazy is a little sad but better than the worst characters are unusable 🤢
@@iminumst7827 yeah, spidey I meant to turn fights into either 5v5s or more like 5.5v5s, which gets exponentially better if it’s a healer that the enemy is missing, but as spidey you probably aren’t gonna solo carry with like a psylocke probably, but picking of players gets better the higher in rank you are
Isn't that how shit was in ow1, hope that turns out different lmao
I learned yesterday that Dr Stranges melee builds dark energy at 10 per hit and you can hit multiple targets at the same time and it stacks.

As cloak and Dagger main with 34 hours of playtime just on them I wanna give some tips,
5.This one is for the teammates
If u know a C&D will go invisible next to u don't shot or do anything so u stay invisible to get saved.
Your English Is Pretty Great

As a peni player i can certify that she has some extreme highs...and lows:
•As a tank she's garbage.
A faster movement wouod be nice along with less restricted wall climbs, and a longer ranger web pull for better mobility OR a web grab to abduct enemies into ambushes.
this is what ive been saying, her projectiles are stupid slow, she needs better poke
I kinda expect her to work like DVA just to be suprised that shes mostly work as camping lol
Really interesting take of Rivals making a full trap based hero to the extreme
That's why formations need a main tank and an offtank. She has really good team support but needs the other tank to be pushing
groot is underrated, a lot of people dont even know you can change the angles of his walls so you can get up to places you might never have had the chance to before or even take your entire team somewhere if youre coordinated with your team
Man I think Groot is actual menace in high rank. Has a fast cds on his walls and that's three walls. I didn't even know there was effects for his walls and just spammed it everywhere to deny dps like Hela or Healers from doing their thing. I had match where I blocked almost 70k dmg. Wild hero.
Once I realized u can put his walls on the cart the world opened up to me. Groot is fucking busted.
People also underestimate his damage potential. I love top fragging as groot, three hits to kill most characters, add another hit and a lil right click if they're getting healed.
Maan i replied saying groot is fun and UA-cam removed my comment?

Bucky is so freaking good and has some surprising depth.
1. You can start the reload on empty FASTER if you manually do it. Once youve fired 3 shots, if you immediately press reload, it activates sooner than the automatic reload.
2. Youre supposed to combo his gun with his abilities because each activation of his abilities, auto reloads his guns. Fire 3 shots, shoots stun, auto loads and fires 3 again, grapple, dash and punch, auto reloads 3 again
"Surprising" bruh, it's said on the tin. I swear, 99% of people dislike reading anything. Lol

I would agree except he feels bad without scarlet, so that's when I'd lean Strange
@WolfgangBrozart nah he's not bad without scarlet. I still get 20+ kills without her. I'm gold 1 right now and I still solo queue with him sometimes.
Easy money.

You can just stick to it with your webshot
I have to agree. Especially because you can put webs on walls and get healing from touching them, so her kit already isn't limited completely to the ground. Just feels like something you should be able to do. Also kinda feel like it would make sense to get your passive healing as long as you're tethered to a web, not just standing in it, but I don't know if that really matters as much.

His weaknesses outweigh his strengths far too much, to get absolutely anything done on him you have to do so much

I’ve died to Wolverine probably 6 times all together and I’m like level 29

Favorite support as well
Oh dude the rez for him is amazing I played 1 comp game so far and I had my ult on snow the guy popped rez I immediately popped my ult started healing everyone and we won the game reminded me of the old ow1 mercy 5 man rez days
Adam Vs Dive is insane and definitely slept on. His damage reduction shoots down any threat of a dive, him dying barely does anything when he can instantly get back into the fight.
Fellow Adam players, we are the backbone of teams 😂😂
That’s because once you become the only support because the others died off, you essentially need to start hitting your shots and get kills to make up the difference to win those team fights. It is very much possible to solo carry as warlock.
My experience so far in low elo and where players are still figuring out the game is almost every character has a use and is “playable” which given the large starting roster, plans to expand and a massive history of heros and villains to choose from is fantastic. Plus team ups reminds me of tft which is fun. And different levels of play have different metas
Everyone saying that venom is the wrecking ball of marvel rivals. Meanwhile we have cap that is basically hit run and pray
What I'm saying is: we have two balls and we need to appreciate them
Cap is not hit and run play. Its hit, run, ASSEMBLE!!, hit, then run again.
Venom is the Wrecking Ball of Marvel Rivals but way more boring and takes like half the skill. Ironicaly Iron Fist is more like Ball than Venom

I will die on the hill that Peni is a top 3 tank. I’m only plat 3 rn, but Peni, Bucky, Storm, Thor and Hawkeye are my favorites rn
Peni the goat
Peni is so slept on because of her gimmick and the fact that shes a knowledge check. Butt people really underestimate how far that can get you.
You’ll start dealing way more damage.
people are misusing peni, a peni shouldn’t just stand in her nest since if it doesn’t get damaged it essentially has no cooldown, if you are constantly moving along with your next and finding good places to put it, then repositioning when it gets sticky, you will be really effective. not to mention mines are best used not as traps but more as secondary fire, launching them in to the head of a team fight will always net you damage and kills, people can’t avoid a mine when it is flying at them
Love Flats, but I think the combat designers had a totally different approach on why they made Captain America the way he is:
1. HERO IDENTITY IN MARVEL: Captain America is a TEAM PLAYER in personality in the universe of Marvel. So you must think like a team player. Not go find someone down an alley by yourself. There's a reason he yells "ASSEMBLEEE!!!!"
Beautifully said , that’s exactly how I play him , I just help everybody cuz I can basically be everywhere at once 😂😂😂
Plus his shield bounces off MULTIPLE people he used as back up.
Not trying to be condescending.
thor with cap is kinda cracked

I disagree with the points on his healing, his healing beam is very far and I on average with 9 hours on Jeff can pump 20k+ healing

You will disk into their back line instantly evaporate a DPS or healer of your choice, then you can disk out to get back to your team. She's so SO good.
As someone who has played alot of peni i think there is going to be a natural transition of "she is great because people doenst know how to counter her" to "she can completely provoke and deceive enemies to waste time"
By that i mean the egg is OP because nobody shoots it, but when they do they basically start chasing it, and forcing them to back off from diving with melee, and if they shoot it they spend so much time on it that might have been better served elsewhere.
likewise the more cautious people become of the web bomb traps the more you can start just shooting webs in doorways and they will have to hesitate if its a trap or not where as now when they dont realize it they just ignore all the webs left on the ground.
Also i think its often overlooked that ALL webs heals her, so even if you blow up the spider egg you can just web under you and get a constant health regen + overshield which can help with survivability.

Yeah it took a few days and my brother explaining Penni to me to understand to smash the spider nest ASAP and she becomes useless.
Suck at all other tanks. xD
I can never get doctor strange to work especially playing him in ranked, I need a ton of practice with him.
Hollllddddd up i might need to try C&D because whaaatttt??? I thought Mantis was godly op 😮😮😮
@avocadothecat i too look fab while sucking in many ways. Love getting my ult canceled by 3 stuns. We are so stunning 🥰
He called us out so hard at the end 💀
48:46 bro called me out . Nah but with these videos I like jumping back and forth.
You are me. I am you
As an iron man main.
F tier is insane for him I’ve dropped 60 kills with him in ranked that’s not a F tier character lol
My homie is a Peni main. Last night, he intercepted an iron man ult midair with web to save the games last push.
Where’s the banned every game tier?? I’m in diamond and you’re legally not allowed to play Hela, mantis, Luna snow, or Hawkeye
I can't wait for diamond. I ended today midway through plat 2, and boy will it be nice not seeing at least one of them every game.
Good
I can't get to Diamond Purley because gold/plat is an ego fest of bad Phylocks and Helas Vs good phylocks and Helas
you guys are tiering up in comp? (strill bronce 3 - team goes 5 DPS in more than 1/2 of my matches...)
Hes a solid A or B but needs CC to be relevant lol
You've given us a lot to consider. Great stuff 👏🏾
I agree with most of these takes honestly, though I would go up on starlord rather than down. Jeff I think seems strong more because hes easy to play so a lot of people are getting high value out of the abilities, the ult is also quite dodge able with a lot of abilities once you know them.
No, Jeff is just strong, period. He's either perma banned or perma picked in diamond+ ranked cause of how incredibly strong he is.
Easy to dodge??? Unless you’re talking about just running for your life after the voice line, there is no time to react.
@@ryanrzjr well yeah thats usually when u react, just scatter from your team mates when he ults or use your movement/phase cooldowns
@@ryanrzjr skill issue
1:37 pause. Wdym just hold his shield? Am I not supposed to be competing with moonknight or other DPS in dmg while also soaking more damage than the other tanks?
13:49 Me like big sword go swoosh
I think Hawkeye's biggest strength, to me, is how much body shot damage he can do. On duelists, I usually go for headshots, because landing one stray headshot on a duelist will change a fight. But tanks are easy to hit, easy to keep your passive maxed-out on, and the sustained damage of spamming full charge arrows will melt them. Landing a stray headshot on a tank is just a nice bonus.
Idk why dude acted like he takes a long time to charge. He charges his shots so fast its ridiculous. How did he not go in S
hardlocking psylocked and typing genji diff at the end of every match 🙏
Have to say, downloaded the game yesterday, and spent the whole time playing Captain America. I LOVE that character, and honestly have zero desire to play anyone else right now, because I love diving into the point, acting as a distraction, and getting stray kills off my shield throw. He might not be the best tank in the game, but he's the best for me!
idk man when i play groot i am pumping out dps his left click is actually crazy his ult is pretty bad i will say but having a grenade and a strong left click is crazy especially when you can isolate people from healers
Groot ult and then right click on the enemies and it does a surprising amount of dmg.
@@lunadead yeah but there are 4 zenyatta ults in the game so normally nothing happens
As a majik player my highest kills in a game was 45 kills 7 deaths so take that for what you will
Honestly, I think it's Pen's mines are being underused at the moment. The recharge for them is ridiculously fast
U make traps between combat and use them actively in combat.
It adds 100+ damage in combat
@@ThyLordEggar you can also have a maximum of 6 FUCKING TEEN at once.
I find her useful in poking at Helas too
7:21 the shield cd is awful. A sentinel strike or shield toss kills should reset the cooldown at least. Love Cap tho
Never played over watch before and have almost exclusively played iron man. Felt like an intervention
flank moonknight is nuts, ankh the backline from an off angle and oohhhhh boy its over
A slippery Iron Man, or an uncontested Iron Man are deadly.
Nope iron man is never uncontested
@@ni9274funny how different our experience is, I went 48-0 on iron man because nobody ever looked up
As a captain America main, ironman single handedly counters me.
You can say ass
22:12 I have a question, for anyone tbh. Is the damage for Spider-Man good enough to warrant the amount of work it takes for one kill? I guess compared to hella since this is the example he used.
Spider damage is pretty strong and can do a drive by against someone who not ready for the two web shot web swing in for that dumb uppercut lol
I think so. You just have to pick your targets right. If you can get behind a healer or squishy (which is super easy with his swing) you can nuke them with his combo then get out with his swing. Honestly though, he's just insanely fun to play once you learn him
I mean I guess so? An analogy I like to use is that if you play overwatch, he's kinda like tracer or sombra. Low damage, high kills
I really like Penni. Instead of setting mine traps and waiting for enemies, I like to push them and drop mines directedly on them while I web them and then left click. I was a Junkrat main in OW so maybe that explains why I like her.
*Captain America:*
Role - Tank
Gameplay - Only 1v1 and running away at every point
_Seems legit tank_
I can do this all day
Captain america is great you can block everything if you know how to do it and punish them after I didn't realize he was such a beast I was killing with him and barely died everyone is sleeping on him I didn't realize he was so good when I played him
My thors awakened form regularly gets me kills on Peni.
Groot can put his wall on top of the payload which I find to be very useful

people are going to see very soon that Peni is actually the second strongest tank in the game. and there is no planet where wolverine is more useful than ironman. just mathematically not possible.
the only world where iron man is better is the world where people don't hit most shoots (aka ur average player).
Thor has C.C and damage which is already double what iron man can do
I play cloak and dagger and i can say some stuff:
Mantis is the best in term of heals.
