The holes above head height definitely wouldn’t work in lower ranks because they won’t be thinking “that’s too tall I don’t have to worry about it”, they’ll just think “bad man makes hole in wall” and watch it until something else distracts them
Started playing r6 recently and being a self classified support player I mainly play hard breach. I’ve been extremely shy with Maverick so far because i know his torch isn’t the easiest thing to use, so this vid is perfect for me. Love the other vids!! keep up the great work!!

I abandoned it because I didn't know the maps that well So when I was the last player in a round I was completely exposed. I was accused of throwing matches and trolling. I got banned on my xbox because i snapped on some dude. But all that to say I finally pushed through and have gotten a lot better. My advice to new people (I'm still new relatively) is to get good map knowledge. I found by spawning in the same place until you get that side of the map down helped, then move to the next location. Also following teamates when attacking even though your head screams for you to do your own thing.
This is so much more articulate and detailed than 99% of mainstream UA-cam siege content. Most content creators can't explain anything correctly, have bad technique and are antisocial. Great job.
There was a game in a club house where I got smoked and that dude typed "gn" in the chat. That game ended with my flank hold kill on that dude, with me on maveric, rapeled on outside kichen wall, holding maverick burned holes (I wrote "GN" with maverick torch on that wall) on outside construction wall. I swear, it was the most satisfying kill cam I ever made.
not going to lie, this helped me out so much with learning how to play Maverick and making him my main. One thing that I will say I've had some luck with is claymore's, if I'm planning on putting some holes into walls and maybe camping a spot or if somehow I even made it to putting down the diffuser, those claymores have come in clutch plenty of times. but if I'm playing a little bit more aggressive I will see the flash bangs we have access to now is a bit better
A tip for other maverick players out there, do the religiously follow everything in this video, try to understand why he's cutting out where he is and be sure to employ that in your own gameplay. e.g 11:17 is a great hole, though it leaves you quite open too. But there's spots on other maps too where you can do something like that and it goes really well. Also playing with a Team, during the initial push you can put down a couple dot holes near quiet areas or rotates, they won't notice if your team makes enough of a commotion, perfect for catching people off guard
As a new player Maverick is my favorite attacker to use. I do need some defense tips because I usually suck on defense. I'm pretty good with support but that's about it. And I noticed they swapped out frags for flash grenades. Which are still very beneficial for any Mav players
It's gonna be stupid if you said that in the video but I want to add one thing: don't use right mouse button, because you burn walls faster than your camera moves. You can create a crouch wall with one gas canister in reinforced wall if you are able to control your mouse movement speed. Also you waste less gas burning hatches.
@alyttleton I'm a bit late but along the same lines, you can also used 2 "shots" of the mav torch on the center of 2 specific boards of a door reinforcement to almost silently make a hole that can be crouch-walked through, so if someone barricades a door on their flank expecting a sound cue while holding the opposite side, you can get a real freebie on em unless they're standing like within 10 feet of the door it's that quiet. Great video, too. Very well explained & seems comprehensive to me.

yeah idk what rank you are but I'm gold and while I take nades 90% of the time (I play almost exclusively solo queue) the odd claymore can actually be really handy if you deem it necessary to mav a dangerous spot and your team can't be fucked to watch your flank for 20 seconds. It's irritating to have to use, but in solo queue, especially at lower ranks, you take what you need to get the job done. As they say, it aint stupid if it works.

I usually go with Rook since you cant do much wrong, you support your team and the P90 is a great gun in my Opinion

It will still be electrified but you can walk through it. You will lose a small amount of HP

Nades are too op to use anything else, if used properly it’s a free kill or utility clear
