This pass played a pivotal role during the Vietnam War, witnessing significant military movements. This road is the "longer" alternative to the big highway to Hanoi, definitely far more worth. Is a visual feast with its winding roads that traverse through lush greenery, panoramic vistas of mountains, valleys, and the 'Perfume' River. Along the pass, there are local communities showcasing authentic Vietnamese culture, buffalos, goats, cows, motorbikes carrying bigger goods than the motorbike itself, meters of rice grains sun-drying in the middle of the road, same as the numerous piles of alfalfa, rubber trees plantations, endless rice fields between the mountains and so on.
