- CURE Week showcases groundbreaking epilepsy research and members of the community who are relying upon it. In this video, we focus on SUDEP, Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. Libby Boyce, mother of actor Cameron Boyce who passed away from SUDEP in 2019, discusses the need for both physicians and families to better understand and communicate the risk of SUDEP. Dr. Ann Poduri, Neurologist at Boston Children's Hospital, presents the physicians' perspective and discusses potential ways to mitigate the risk of SUDEP.

End Epilepsy End Sudep and fight
I have been diagnosed with SUDEP. Only lived through the first time because I was in the ER. You are wrong I have too live everyday knowing this might be might be my last day. It is horrible. I wish I didn’t I dint know and could live a normal life without this knowledge again.
even i am suffering with epilepsy from last 10 yrs and still onmedicines .. hearing the word sudep for first time today and i am crying ...dont know what to do .... and sorry for the loss...
I am there with you and finding out tore my world apart, all I can say is stay really on top of your epilepsy. If you have any type of auras, change in moods, funny feeling before hand become very aware so you can take a med to prevent having a seizure. All I can say is you or I don’t know if it is 3 days or 30 years we have so live like it is 30 or you will drive yourself crazy and get too depressed. This is the excuse you needed to start on that bucket list you have been putting to the side. Go have fun. It’s the only way to get through it.
I'm so sorry for your loss , thank you for raising awareness. I learned of this from your sons passing . I am trying to keep this from happening to my son but sadly it is not brought to enough parents attention. Even my neurologist admitted he does not mention this to his patients .
ikr i crid when i herd he died i love his movies and shows and more....
Because for many years Epileptics were shunned in society it was easier for most people to keep it to themselves because of the myths associated with Epilepsy put a big target on their backs.
