I love gravestones so thought i would do a little research on the family plot you looked at with the tiny graves.... It belongs to the Ellis family...Alfred Ellis who died 1879 and his wife Sarah Jane who died 1896....several of their children passed away at an early age...John age 16 months, Janet aged 5 days, Dorothy age 4 and Charles age 27...Alfred was classed as a Gentleman and they had servants.

That's so sad 😞 To lose so many, so young. Thank you for the information though and it definitely is interesting to hear.

I am surprised that this church survived the reformation forced on the churches by Henry VIII and Cromwellian protestants. Those gargoyles and stain glass windows should not have survived.
My ancestors were rectors in Burton Overy in the St Andrew's parish for at least 250 years between 1400 and 1650 but after the take over of the religious establishments by the Cromwell Protestant regime and the Puritanical laws were put into place they moved to Nottinghamshire. Their surname was Weston.
Being forced to earn a living like the unfortunate princes and princess themselves they had to find another occupation and work from the ground up. Royal favour no longer covered them.

That's pretty cool 😳 and yep the church survived, windows and all. It's an AWESOME location.
