- This is a new airplane I built in hibernation. It is a Hacker SUpreme 48" airfoiled foamie that I bought from Twisted Hobbies. I am using Spektrum 3050 heli cyclic servos from my old Blade 360CFX, Bad Ass 2814 980KV motor, APC 11x 4.5 MR propeller, Castle Talon 35 speed control, and a 4 cell 1350-1550 Tattu lipo. Nice Flight. I love wings come off, main reason I want one. But I wonder how it compares to Smaller Veloxity or Edge. Probably a bit less aggressive and it feels heavier? I wonder how that rudder push rod holds up for 3D. I hope it doesn't twist the frame, feel weak or get weak over time.
Funny this just popped up on me, because I just ordered the 43” Edge this morning. I like this SUpreme, but..,, the wing was such a noodle, I sliced just past the leading edge and inserted a flat 1/4” wide piece of carbon fiber in each wing to stiffen it. Then I put the same type of carbon on the trailing edges of the ailerons to stiffen those. Now it flies more like a big airplane. It still has dihedral flex though because of the detachable wing. If you can, you may want to add 4-6” to the wing tube and try to burrow a hole with something sharp to get the tube further in the wing. Might help. I’m done with working on it. I’m about to go shred the park with it now. I’m hoping I like the Edge more. It looks stiffer in the videos Twisted has. The SUpreme is a fun one for slow flight and harrier stuff. It’s not a crank shafter or knife edge spinner. But point rolls and pattern stuff with big snaps is cool.

That looks so beautiful! You should Go back to the rootz and do more Videos like this! I started to build slowflyer with my dad as a kid too. You inspire me and I let an childhood dream come true and just bought me a used foamie to start practise 😎

@@CoeShow619 hey, I‘ve learned a lot on foamies since january 😬 but I‘ve crashed sometimes.. so it‘s time to build a new plane. I decided to buy a hacker supreme from your video. I have a permax motor from my crashed Multiplex extra 330sc.. nearly the same specs like the badass. My question now. Are you always getting more than 5 minutes out of that 1300mha 4s? That would be great!
Are you still happy with the 11x4,5 Apc prop? The manual says 11x5,5 with 4s
3s 2200 is another option. The extra did very well with a 55A speed Controller on 14x7 prop 🙈
@@NRG1991 yes, on 4s 1300 with 11x4.7 it can do 5 minutes easy. I think I have 6 minutes on my timer. I also fly it with a 1500mah 3s on a 12x6 with the batter mounted just an inch or so back from the motor tucked in the fuselage on the bottom. In the video the 4s is alittle further back. You can fly a 2200 3s battery too. It’s all preference. I added some carbon to the trailing edges of the ailerons to keep them rigid too.

I have 3S 1600 3S 2800 (only 15g more Thema the 2200 Smart pack) and 4s 1300🙈🙈
