BJP leader and NDA candidate Om Birla was on June 26 elected as Speaker of 18th Lok Sabha. Birla was elected against INDIA bloc's candidate K Suresh during the voice vote held in the House on Wednesday. Om Birla is the only Lok Sabha speaker after Balram Jakhar in 1985 to get two full terms.
भाजपा नेता और एनडीए उम्मीदवार ओम बिड़ला 26 जून को 18वीं लोकसभा के अध्यक्ष चुने गए। बुधवार को सदन में हुए ध्वनिमत के दौरान बिड़ला को इंडिया ब्लॉक के उम्मीदवार के सुरेश के खिलाफ चुना गया। ओम बिड़ला 1985 में बलराम जाखड़ के बाद दो पूर्ण कार्यकाल पाने वाले एकमात्र लोकसभा अध्यक्ष हैं।
