I know many people think doing this kind of thing is completely insane, and life is too precious to risk so easily like that for a quick adrenaline rush, and I am one of those people. The thought of doing something like this would never even cross my mind. We've accomplished so much in the last several decades and it's because of people like this, with huge balls and a drive and determination that most don't have. What these guys are doing is more like a passion/thrill ride. But that same attitude landed mankind on the moon.
theveganmaster you are absolutely correct , remember the first "moon landing" was years before the technological marvels of the Ford Pinto and AMC Gremlin, with stone age technology like that no human has been to the moon, not to mention the Radiation would have killed them. H O A X.
I think the scientists at NASA have a slightly higher IQ than adrenaline junkies living on the edge, space exploration is nothing like playing Russian roulette, not even close
This has to be the best feeling on the planet ,and the few of you that are risking everything to bring us the most fantastic video man as ever seen, this kind of FLYING should be on the BIG SCREEN, Great job guys.
So he almost killed the people on the Gondola. Not badass at all. If you're going to risk your life to chase your passion I'll cheer you on... just try not to endanger people who haven't chosen that risk.
+akai ‘schwieg’ soubi I'm no expert in this, but i have my doubts about wether or not the people in the gondola would be killed of he would have hit hit. I can imagine a very hard hit which would brake some windows and cause some swinging. But nothing really more than that.
wonderful place and wonderful sport. The sports give us more passsion than I imagine. I appreciate you so much, brave mans, hope one day I can be just like you.
Ludo Woerth the cameraman seen in this video @0:54 died with two other wingsuit nuts Dan Vicary & Brian Drake less than a year later in a jump in Switzerland. He was wearing his Red Bull advertising helmet.
And just so happens to be a camera in the gondola to film the reactions of the passengers? I understand you want ratings & views, but don't tell lies & pretend something went wrong because it makes you look bad.
+humanati Each gondala on Tianmen is equipped with a camera. This is the worlds longest cable car ride in the world, they also have a guide that goes up with you and films for you for purchase after the ride, so that you don't have to worry, and can enjoy the scenery.
It was planned you idiot. Were you not paying attention??? They mentioned they were following the cable car lines. So of course there going to have a camera man in some of the cars. I'm sure they had camera in multiples cars. That doesn't mean that they intended to do something wrong. Bad things happen all the times and theres always a camera wrong to catch the mistakes.
spyderspic666 You idiot!! Pay attention! I am so intolerant towards complete fucking strangers on the internet! My life is so shitty and boring that I must be so serious and dramatic!!! RAWR.
Willy Wonka Yep it sure does. I even tried using Sound Hound and it would not pick up the name of it. I guess we will never know unless we ask a Chinaman! LOL.
So much respect for you guys! I am just a child but next year iam gonna get my liscence to jump en then wingsuite flying! Keep doing wat you love you guys are amazing respect. Blue skys!
No they dont. Maybe you should learn the concept of life before stating that these are "poor guys." They dont have a tough life, they have a meaningful life
Well, Draco Ford, I'm going to go out on a limb and posit that it would take someone quite lacking in situational awareness to not realize that toohyped z's comment was a sarcastic one; I'd even go so far as to say it is clueless.
+Tyler Frankie Pro Athletes doing what they love is entertainment for those athletes, Ditto for Pro Musicians and just about any pro who loves what they're doing -- people who enjoy watching these people do what they do? Also entertainment; it is "entertainment" of one sort or another no matter how you look at it.
+Brian Collins Anyone really good action sports athlete I've ever watched is doing it for their personal enjoyment. They love the feeling of doing what they do. In the McConky documentary, which you should watch, Shane says he is, "Getting maximum enjoyment out of life." That is the purpose of sports, entertainment is simply a bonus.
Wing suit flying is the closest case where human being will put their most precious thing on the line - life, when there is the possibility to turn IMAGINATION into REALITY. Just think how many people died for make airplane traveling a norm today. The guys are the Greatest group of human beings.
One day when you and I and the rest of human beings can all "fly", was is not because of this group" or individuals? Would you like to fly if it was made 99.999% safe like airplane travel today? They are the rebels who move things forward for the human race. Is it not crazy to drive a things that goes 100Km/hour for a ancient man 500 years ago- that thing is a car.
People who have passions and dreams, and the courage or stupidity to try to make that happen for themselves...are doing it for themselves. Few ppl like that are doing it for future generations, despite what they say. They want to know what it feels like so they do it. I don't call a man or woman like that...great, Or necessary. A car, is not necessary, no invention is necessary. Creators usually create for selfish reasons, there is no deny this. It's either selfish...or no reason at all (just to create) I don't call either action great, just is what it is. There are good things and bad things to come from anything anyone does. So how can you call something, great... Only if you see the positive side and like it, then it's great. If I see the negative, then it's not. Or the next guy sees both, and its whatever. I think it's whatever. I don't need to fly, not do I care to fly via some machine. I personally think humans have a level of potential that they haven't begun to tap into and it has nothing to do with technology. I mean the body itself. We are all hung up on the tech side, and only a few look at the opposite. I am more interested in that side...A man who can light a piece of paper on fire with his qi or harden their body to prevent injury is more great to me. But even still...it's whatever. All unnecessary. To each his own though. I just don't see any benefit in calling any man great. It reduces other men to being less than, when it's just not true. Everyone is great, or no one is. I think it's everyone...therefore...no one. We all play our roles. We don't even know what life is, but we are exalting ppl...i don't agree. We live based on beliefs about things we decided are facts in the first place. whatever
Just go to 9:45....and yes, this stuff is thrilling, but ENTIRELY reckless and irresponsible to endanger other people. They should be charged with a crime.
Almost "accidentally" hits a cable car! But the car happened to have a pre-planned camera man inside filming the reaction of the people inside. What a coincidence!
They were buzzing gondolas filled with people. That is reckless endangerment. The people in them did not consent to that risk. Fuck these arseholes. I'm a skydiver who thinks BASE jumping should be legal, not some whuffo and these arseholes should be jailed. China absolutely SHOULD prosecute them.
McChulo The whole thing is probably pre-set the cable cars are empty at the jump, and they just did an inner shot afterwards why do you think they had the same quality inner shoot in the cable car? Plus they played with the angles to make it seem more dangerous.
Hate to break anyone's party but this is an obviously staged "near miss." Do you all think it's just a coincidence that they had multiple angles of him narrowly escaping, including inside the Gondola he nearly collided with? I'm not trying to take piss on the video one bit, in fact I've watched the series multiple times because I am a huge fan.
They had the camera in the cable car regardless. You can hear them with the radio say the cable car is ready before they right before they jumped. You also cannot tell if that cable car was the one he almost hit. Also the back of his suit was flapping, clearly it malfunctioned.
Kirk Sterling Maybe you're right Kirk, I can't say with full confidence it was orchestrated. I've watched all the episodes of Perfect Flight and have noticed the drama always being embellished. The editing on all the episodes is made as if they're in constant danger with each flight. That just isn't so. They're professionals and don't run into so many near death situations as the video would have you believe.
dude I have to think it was being filmed from every angle possible anyway. Near miss or "eventless" flight, it was going to be filmed from all over the place.
Everyone commenting things like "this is suicide" and "what about the other people" and "this is so reckless and should be a crime" is just absolutely ridiculous. You might be passionate about things like drawing, work, people or whatever, you might not thrive off adrenaline and adventure. Base jumpers are passionate about this. This is not your life. These guys do thrive off the rush and excitement. This is amazing. Honestly breathtaking that science and engineering has gone far enough to fulfil the need that unfortunately very few individuals have now. That desperation for adrenaline and thrill. Flying gives a sense of freedom, even a sense of accomplishment that some people crave. Just because you people don't feel a need for extreme thrills it doesn't mean you get the right to condemn the ones that do. Please respect that we enjoy a sense of danger. Just because we are not like you, and value different things, it doesn't mean you are "smarter" or more "moral" than us. Respect everyone, even if they don't share the same opinion as you. This video is absolutely incredible boys, I hope to follow you one day.
If you want to do this as a hobby, that's fine. More power to you. In fact, I quite enjoy the videos of a well-executed jump. But I hope you never recklessly endanger the lives of other people, even if you warned them beforehand that spectating from the sidelines might not be without risks. Odds are, they don't fully understand just how much risk there is. Or worse still, never endangered anyone who wasn't even aware of what was going on, until wingsuit guys come tearing past at whatever speeds these things can manage. That's my only issue here.
I understand that, but I do think these guys are professionals and know what they're doing. Yes, I agree that they shouldn't have gone so close to the cable cars, but as they said earlier in the video, they had to pull some strings to get there. I personally think that they would've been told to only follow that path, which isn't their fault. To be honest at usual base jumping spots people know what is happening, and are often told before-hand. But yeah, your point is valid, I just hate people slamming these guys for doing what they love.
I love BASE, but this was a little too sketchy. If you want to pull off a sketchy jump that will only injure yourself, go for it, but don't endanger others.
Hoch134 Apparently, the place where they jumped had much less altitude than the one they were supposed to jump, and only had 3 seconds to open parachutes. I guess they didn't realise what happened until it was too late. I read this a couple of years ago and I might not remember all details correctly. You can look it up and correct me if that's the case hehe
+Isaac OLEG Honestly I suspect the original sound track was WHSHSHHSHSHHSHSHHSSHWWHPOWHPHWHPWHPWHPWHPWHWPHWPSHSHSSHSHHSHSPWHWPSHPHWPHSPHSPHWPWHWPHSWPHSPHHTHUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP CRUMPLE CRUMPLE "you alright?" "yeah." So they probably figured they'd do you a favor and just cut that track.
I really love radical sports, and feel conected with nature and natural forces. But to put other peoples' lifes in risk for this , or just follow the riskiest performances is just stupidity. This is not cool, not "feel the nature". This is anti-natural, narcissistic, nihilistic. As many other accidents in super-risky sports that have happening frequently. Why people have to compet for every sport? Why not just enjoy a simple ride, feel the air? Why have to be the fastest, and riskiest, etc? And this stupidities are sold as cool. This is the puerile and narcisistic spirit of our times.
It is not narcissistic, I think you have the definition of that word confused. Their egos are not inflated, in fact in the video they specifically state how humble they are about it when every single additional jump "makes them more afraid." To find yourself in expression, to be as one, to be who you are, to make a choice that you stand by and says: THIS IS WHO I AM. That is not narcissism, that is not pride, that is not ego, that is identity and that is the driving force for humans in this universe of ours. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. - Corinthians 9:24-27
Skr4x This is not just a "near miss" with a pylon or a rock. Here it is a "near miss" with a cabin suspended a hundred meters, and full of people. I totally agree with Sergio.J.V.: It is pure narcissism. A go-pro in front, another behind, ready to show themselves to the whole world. narcissism: "inordinate fascination with oneself; excessive self-love; vanity. Synonyms: self-centeredness, smugness, egocentrism." That means have no consideration for the others. If I like to go fast with the car, I go to the track, not on the highway.
I rather live couple years to the fullest fulfill all my dreams then live 70 or 80 years and being miserable that's my humble opinion you can go and fight the war or watch it on CNN in your couch
they are gliding. the glide ratio is about 2.5 to 1... for every meter down they go 2.5 meters forward... as damn close as humans can get to flight without engines! lol
@@samwisegamgee289 the fact that Shazam found a match, doesn't guarantee it is the correct one. i listened to that track of John Keech - it's not even close.
Skip to 9:30 if you want to see what the title says, a wingsuit pilot narrowly escaping collision with a gondolda.
Thank you.
Thank you!
***** Thank you, every video needs someone like you.

This is the most epic sport ever. You guys are living the dream. So beautiful.
These guys should be on the Discovery, or Travel channel. I would totally watch hour long episodes of this.
I know many people think doing this kind of thing is completely insane, and life is too precious to risk so easily like that for a quick adrenaline rush, and I am one of those people. The thought of doing something like this would never even cross my mind.

no one has ever gone to the moon!!!!
You sir, have apparently never watched Transformers 3!
And don't thumb your own comment. It's kinda like giving yourself a high five..
theveganmaster you are absolutely correct , remember the first "moon landing" was years before the technological marvels of the Ford Pinto and AMC Gremlin, with stone age technology like that no human has been to the moon, not to mention the Radiation would have killed them. H O A X.
当你跟随镜头往下跳的时候,你应该能感受到那种震撼吧,有一位来自西班牙的翼装参赛者就不幸遇难。震撼是要付出代价。当时得到的也很丰厚。
I think the scientists at NASA have a slightly higher IQ than adrenaline junkies living on the edge, space exploration is nothing like playing Russian roulette, not even close
save yourself some time and just skip to 9:45
David Houston ditto
David Houston ditto

stunning to see that singularity effect on the parachute because of the high air moisture.great footage.epic tv always comes up with the best videos
10:13 So just as he happens to miss the cable car there happen to be two cameras filming inside that exact cable car?
the one behind it.... and theyd have people there to film obviously
Three amazing people on an equally amazing journey. Best wishes and many safe returns.
Omg, he was so close to that cable car. I'm so happy he managed to maneuver away from it.
The most beautiful place on earth and the most gorgeous base jumping I have seen,
The near miss is at 10:10 for those who don't want to watch the whole thing.
That place is absolutely beautiful
So he almost killed the people on the Gondola. Not badass at all. If you're going to risk your life to chase your passion I'll cheer you on... just try not to endanger people who haven't chosen that risk.
HOLY SHIT I JUST GOT OWNED!
+TechBro bro be cool. take pity on my life. no more burns
+akai “schwieg” soubi It's OK as long as the people in the Gondola made the choice too. Or if they're people like you.
***** They're grownups who knew the risks and are unhurt. for fucks sake
+akai ‘schwieg’ soubi I'm no expert in this, but i have my doubts about wether or not the people in the gondola would be killed of he would have hit hit. I can imagine a very hard hit which would brake some windows and cause some swinging. But nothing really more than that.
Wow, I am speechless....Thanks for the ride guys.
Skip to 9:48 for the jump.
The cable car riders were so lucky to have been able to witness that first hand. Great flying dude; you would do any flying squirrel proud.
Last song please
wonderful place and wonderful sport.
The sports give us more passsion than I imagine.
I appreciate you so much, brave mans, hope one day I can be just like you.

Epic indeed! and the place they were living was like a paradise!
And just so happens to be a camera in the gondola to film the reactions of the passengers? I understand you want ratings & views, but don't tell lies & pretend something went wrong because it makes you look bad.
+humanati Was going to post this exact same statement.

I love his commentary on how his family worries compared to how he goes through with his adventures
Is this a movie? o.o If not it needs to be
I concur
Great things are doing great people . WISH YOU LUCK GUYS!!!!
Those poor guys. They have such a tough life
No they dont. Maybe you should learn the concept of life before stating that these are "poor guys." They dont have a tough life, they have a meaningful life
Draco Ford Lol maybe you should learn the concept of sarcasm.
LOL. Exactly. Well said Dylan. Funny shit
Dylan Matheson Kinda hard to judge sarcasm on the internet kid

does anybody know the name of the music track used as backround from about 4:10 up to 5:15 ?
Would've been interesting to see him miss the gondola and hit the support structure.
You're a real "badass", man...
Thanks! I always look to the internet for reassurance of my "badass" status.
What is the name of this beautiful music that starts playing at 6:10? I'd love to know.
Just go to 9:45....and yes, this stuff is thrilling, but ENTIRELY reckless and irresponsible to endanger other people. They should be charged with a crime.

maybe pre planed to get a passing shot? not that hard to consider brother
They intended to get fairly close but not THAT close
Such a beautiful place.
holy fuk, how fast were they flying?
He speaks English just fine. Grow a pair ...of ears.
Does anyone know the name of the village they stayed in? I cant find the specific village... @2:20
Thank God there was no collision.
But you should be responsible. Don't wingsuit fly ANYWHERE NEAR TOURIST AREAS, are you crazy?
chopperbubba don't drive in front of people then
Guge Chen Well, don't drive a formula one car at 200 mph past a bunch of pedestrians anyway.
yep

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Oh.. oh god it just hit that big rock.
Nice .everything is bautiful about this place

+soulblacknight I read that on a few videos now. How did he die, or didn't he even die?
Hoch134
he and 2 others jumped off the plane in the wrong place and all 3 died, unfortunately.
soulblacknight Wow.. but how can that happen? I mean, even if it's the wrong place, they all have parachutes?
Hoch134
Apparently, the place where they jumped had much less altitude than the one they were supposed to jump, and only had 3 seconds to open parachutes. I guess they didn't realise what happened until it was too late.
I read this a couple of years ago and I might not remember all details correctly. You can look it up and correct me if that's the case hehe
soulblacknight Ouch.. well thank you for telling me
12 mins? Aint nobody got time fo dat! Did he flied?
U u
He didn't dieded
My respects for courage and skill.
the perfect flight??? almost killed the people on the Gondola''.
+Nicolas Colmenares It's the name of the show..
I Know. Is a very bad name
+Nicolas Colmenares The people in the big cage would be just fine.
are you sure?
+oishisakana If a 150LB projectile hits that mostly plastic and aluminum cage at 100+ mph most likely everyone would be dead inside.
Wish I had the balls to do what these guys do great job guys
Nothing kills a good vid and/or montage more efficiently and slowly than shitty narration.
still epic tho!
this is really epic
no need for stupid music , thanks anyway
+Isaac OLEG Honestly I suspect the original sound track was WHSHSHHSHSHHSHSHHSSHWWHPOWHPHWHPWHPWHPWHPWHWPHWPSHSHSSHSHHSHSPWHWPSHPHWPHSPHSPHWPWHWPHSWPHSPHHTHUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP CRUMPLE CRUMPLE "you alright?" "yeah." So they probably figured they'd do you a favor and just cut that track.
You guys are awesome! I love the camera work.
Skr4x
This is not just a "near miss" with a pylon or a rock.
Synonyms: self-centeredness, smugness, egocentrism."
That means have no consideration for the others.
If I like to go fast with the car, I go to the track, not on the highway.
I don't think you understand the definition of nihilism.
One of these day, the ultimate tickets will arrive!!!!
I rather live couple years to the fullest fulfill all my dreams then live 70 or 80 years and being miserable that's my humble opinion you can go and fight the war or watch it on CNN in your couch
the war?
9:40 - What's the music background? it sounded epicly uplifting when they glide down.
+Rohit Eligeti Its Illuminatus by Veigar Margeirsson
+Diegoptur Thank you :)
Darude - Sandstorm
They are falling, not flying :D
and you can try falling from your backyard tree ;)
they are gliding. the glide ratio is about 2.5 to 1... for every meter down they go 2.5 meters forward... as damn close as humans can get to flight without engines! lol
they are falling with style ^_-
Can you call a flying squirrel a falling squirrel?
oguzsasi Tell that to Flying Squirrels and Flying Fish. Besides, WALKING is falling, but we find no need to bother mentioning it!
