Gear Selector Shafts Done 💪

All of the drillings have been completed for the gear selector shafts. They've gone in quite well and the dogs engage smoothly. Still a bit of work to do getting it all into the casing, especially when you can't see what's going on! But we're nearly there. A few extra machining operations to go after that.

Stand it on end and practice assemble / disassemble a few times to get a memory before you do it for real in the case.

wouldn't it jumping out of gear be an issue if the selector shaft is only held in position by a detent? Especially with the high torque and low rpms you will be running at. Standard motorcycle transmission with a shift drum have the drum grooves position such that the gear levers are locked in place while in gear.

The dogs are under cut, so it should pull itself into gear and stay there. The detent is just to assist. I could be wrong of course, I'll let you know when I ride it. 💪
