Your expertise and knowledge of the moulding process has shown us mere mortals what can be produced when attention to detail is adhered to. The difference between your original kit parts and these parts is like night and day! Fair play to Italeri for " correcting" these issues, and your persuance of excellence. Very educational and informative series of videos! Thank you.
That video has just made my day Nige, I was gutted by your first reviews of this kit. Italeri have done themselves proud. Can't wait to see your finished build🤩
What a difference when you take the time to do it the right way. Glad they made it right for you. Manufactures of any consumer product need to realize it’s not the 20th century anymore and everyone is under a microscope. Add to that a wide open media platform for people to air their findings for the entire world to see and you would think companies would eventually find their sweet spot between profit and customer satisfaction. A fine line for sure but what is an acceptable level of dissatisfaction vs lost sales. Like you said Nige, make THIS and everyone will flock to it. Obviously they’re capable, just follow through.
Nigel, I found this video very interesting and encouraging as I have just contacted Italeri UK customer service as I have the same faults with my Stratos kit. They have requested photos of the damaged parts which I have sent so I am now waiting for them to reply. I am enjoying your series on the Stratos and looking forward to the next episodes.
Well done Italeri. Just goes to show that the moulding CAN be better. The only issue I have is would they have responded in the same way if just anyone advised them of the issues without having a UA-cam channel? Maybe, maybe not. Nice work Nige.
Hi Nigel, This kit just found its way back to my list. This is so satisfying👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This could really be my 60th birthday present, next month. Thanks for the update👋🏻 P.S. : Also, remember that the big spoiler is going to cover a big part or the trunk in the back...
Fair play to Italeri! You just need to make sure that the new body fits perfectly on your chassis now you've done all the alignment on the old body! I guess they were bashing them out at double quick time to meet the Xmas demand for the new kit.
Good on Italeri for making this right. I know I'd be pissed if I bought this kit and had to put in the elbow grease you have. BTW this specific kit retails for $280-380 here in Canada, so ya I'd be pissed.
Not really my preferred subject but been following to see how issues dealt with modelling wise and how Italeri responded which is great! I got an old Italeri 1/48 Hawk with no box or decals a few months back and it took a few weeks but their customer service was very good and sourced me a set of original decals for about £10 posted
Hi again Nigel! Seeing these new parts you have got as replacements. I can safely say my kit is BAD!. If you would be so kind, could I get the contact details you used to contact Italeri to get your replacement parts please.
Can they guarantee this quality for all of us? If so take my money! Ive worked in large volume engineering most of my life, sometimes when you have a production manager breathing down your neck to meet targets, quality goes out the window.
I'm so pleased, Nigel, that you received such a positive response from Italeri. That just leaves one outcome, get it built!🙏

Yes, please, continue with this kit to the end!
An excellent response from Italeri, well done to them. I knew you'd finish it; be rude not to now after all that work!

I'll gladly watch you build it Nigel. I thought, the way you said that you were enjoying it, that you would. Onwards and upwards matey.

Wow that's really generous of them !!!!

The spoiler doesnt cover the boot lid at all Yves.
@@NigelsModellingBench You are correct, my bad.
Wow that's so good of Italeri to sort it out for you Nige, I'm looking forward to seeing it completed now
You and me both!

I dunno?? They need to sort things out and improve their moulding.
Well now I'm tempted. I guess I'll wait a while for the rotten ones to be sold/sent back.
Wow that’s nice mate good they sorted things out

Being as Italeri were kind enough to send replacement parts that meet your exacting standards, here’s hoping you finish the model.
