This song is one I've wanted to hear from a Christian artist. There is so much discrimination within the church for Christians who are on antidepressants, mood stabilizers or anti psychotics. I'm on both an antidepressant and a anti psychotic and I'm a born again believer. I've prayed and prayed for God to heal me from my borderline personality disorder and bipolar but it never went away....it's just something God is having me live with which is okay. We all have our own battles. And sometimes God just let's us live with certain things. Mental health should not be a stigma within the church and I'm so happy more people are realizing that. God gave us medication for a reason...it's meant to help us live. If I was not on my medication I'm on I would not be here trust me. Just know God loves you and He sees you. ❤
I grew up wondering why God wouldn't heal me and that being like this and being Christian couldn't coincide. I decided to believe nothing mattered and that death is just like how it was before you were born so i wouldnt have to exist anymore. Lived that way for years but it still wasn't working. Still trying to believe that what used to be my greatest fear (eternity) God can make our greatest comfort. Nice to hear this song and know others are in a similar boat.

This hits home for sure. I've been struggling with being on medication for depression abd anxiety for years, and being a Christian and praying and hoping for healing. Anyways, the timing of this song for me is spot on.
As a christian on anti-depressants, this reached a core vulnerable part of my heart that many don't share with me
So raw, so beautiful. Like many in the comments I am a Jesus-loving girl who has to take anti-psychotics to function. We live in a fallen world and it is hard to love ourselves and not live in shame... but our Jesus is SO good to scoop us up in His Arms and whisper, "You are my child." Thank you for this, Chris.

Chris, my wife and I used to sing worship that you led at Ethos at Marathon more than 5 years ago. We still talk about how well you directed us all to God together those Sunday mornings, with no seeming thought for yourself. God is for the humble and He is for you.
Don’t listen to those who say “ God is your medicine you don’t NEED this”! That’s why God made us these doctors to help people in that way!!!

Thanks for finally being trusting enough (of God) to share that. Many of us have been through the same thing. That path does not mean you're broken or dumb... merely have different tolerances. The answer is always the same: the truth sets us free. But for many of us, it didn't happen instantly. 💜🌿🌷

The tone on this so good w/ expressions from the heart - Thanks Chris. Dude if I could get my gosh darn work to give me a Friday off great excuse to go to SD!. God loves and cares for us - our whole person. Sometimes we might need to step back and take a tuneup. I am working on this but we grow (love, joy, peace) and compelled by Christ I don't live my life above or below my neighbor. Let's be open, we might have something really hard that's caused physiological changes requiring medication but does that make me any better worse or otherwise to my neighbor or God? Let us love, see healing and pour our hearts to God - He loves you and me so much

Thank you for sharing this song with us. I'm struggling with anxiety since i've remember. This year I start to take medications and it's so hard because i cant see the meds works and even God work in this way. Its so mess up

This song has been a go-to since I found it a few months ago. I play it so much that it’s become the first song to show up on my home feed everyday. It’s so hard to capture the emotion of a Christian battling mental health issues. As I come closer to 30, I’ve seen everything you laid out in this song and then some. This song isn’t just real, but hopeful. It’s a reminder that we are not just flawed, but still capable of loving. God IS good, and He is for us. Thanks for writing and producing this. As a fellow songwriter, I know much work goes into releasing a song, and I’m glad you did this one. It deserves much more attention than it’s gotten on here. 🙏🏻♥️
